I would love to have an actual velomobile shop here in Bellingham, Washington. It would be a very beneficial step up transportation else since there's a lot of cyclists here. And it could get many individuals to switch to HPV instead of driving gas powered vehicles at least in town.
A question that I have: If I where to travel to EU, and purchase the velomobile there that I felt that would be the most beneficial for me. Could I then have it sent to the U.S.?
Man this must have been an amazing trip!!! My wife and I are headed to Germany next summer and I am trying to finagle a way to spend an extra week in Europe just to visit the Velomobile shops... it is SOO exciting to see the live and passion for Velo’s over there. Sadly America is behind right now
In case you don't know, the gentleman opening the museum is Johan Vrielink, the founder of the Flevobike company, the inventor of the original Flevo-bike (with the 'headset' or 'hinge' in the middle and foot-steering) and one of the godfathers of the Dutch recumbent community. So not the least of persons in this context.
That's a great video, I like that it tells so much about the different kinds of velomobiles, and it was interesting to see your reactions after having ridden in the DFs.

hello John. I was invited to a group ride in which I was lent a DF. I can with your opinions in the video. It is ridiculously fast and efficient. Doing the 25 mile ride was like riding 1 mile or 2 miles in the rotovelo. I didn't even break a sweat, besides the granny gear hill lol. What a lovely machine!
Hi John, it was nice meeting you in the workshop. The preparation of the DF payed off for the race, was 2nd, 12 sec behind Ymte (who had a flat). Don't you fit in a DF, a DFXL might be oversized for you.
Hi one question: how tall are you? Because I am a little bigger than 2 meters and I fit more or less in a quest. The thing is that I prefer the look for the DF XL. You think I would fit in it? Thank a lot!!!

We write formal letters to them Is what we do and write things we admire and ask questions. It's a neat assignment so I thought I should write to them. Thanks!

I'm I love with the Quattrovelo but think it would legally be a problem here in the USA .. so maybe a DF for me? I would love to see your review of the PodBike, one that seems awesome to me.
I've just started watching your channel and have to admit, it's very interesting looking at these vehicles and I might be inspired to build one. If have any criticism to pass on, it's your camera work. Some of it makes me dizzy! I get it, not everyone is a cameraman but maybe some hand-held stabiliser could be in order. There are some framing and focusing issues as well. Anyway, thank you for your efforts.

I wish that you'd do a video on the Quest XS and the Strada. Those are the two velomobiles that are in my price range here in the 🇺🇸. I'LL still have to fly to Texas to test ride them but at least I'd have an idea what they're like.

Nino Coutinho high there, the plastic bushes in the top part of both suspension struts had worn out. And the rubber bushes under the steerer HD worn and were replaced also.
Such an interesting and enjoyable video! I really like the Flevobike because it is practical and so well made. It isn't sporty, but I'm not sporty either. I think it would be great in the winter. That DF is such a sexy velomobile (if velomobiles can be sexy, which I think they can). Stuart really flew in the DF. It's great fun having Stuart along. He was very naughty putting that new scratch on Questy. Oh… …and the Sinclair C5, I remember them so well when they first came out. Sinclair was really onto something, he was just so far ahead of his time. Seeing the Leitra was great as well. So much to see in Dronten. I'm looking forward to the third instalment which I guess will be the trip home.
That looks like the Ali Baba's cave; fortunately the 40 thieves haven't found it. And moving from a Quest to a DF, seems to give the same feeling when Aladin turned from his donkey to a flying carpet.
Now the challenge.... how will I test it in California. Well with my Velo friends on bentrider, they might let me test a DF in california if there is an owner there. It is fabulous. I am also a fan of the mountain gearing. I think the extra cost will be worth it.

I can't afford any velomobile so I'm probably going to build a recumbent with the plans from atomic zombie and build the exterior using coroplast.

I am 180, you should definitely fit. Ymte is really tall and he fits. He owns the DF company.
