You cover in 8 mins much more than some hourly videos, keep it up ! Gearbox setup and which turbo to pick would be a great complement to this guide! thanks
Thank you very much. I looked a lot of YT Videos about GT7 car set-up´s and also searched on dozen´s of websites to get explanations and a usefull guide to make a perfect car set-up for my driving style. You hit it straight to the point. Great work!
I remember getting a friend into GT I think 2 versions ago, and he didn't know how to tune. I spent 2 minutes tweaking his car (threw some camber in there, lowered ride height, raised downforce, altered brake balance and transmission) and he was like "WTF DID YOU DO? IT'S LIKE A RACE CAR NOW!" I told him, read those descriptions and tune every car before bothering to race. *I think it was the 90s Mustang SVT.
I'm trying to go deeper into tuning as you describe in this video for the sake of the craft, but I worry that most online races I do (vs friends or in a league) will apply BoP and change it all anyways. Can you speak to why going the extra distance is worth it beyond setting PRs on time trials?
@Zenthusiast where have you been my brother long time no hear from the way you explain things is the reason why I started winning and becoming faster in gt7 so I thank you this channel should have at least a million subscribers by now is there a reason you haven't been around? I would love for you to make content and see you back... even though there is a million racing channels these videos are the videos that made me faster... I would love to see you make a return much love❤
The z is very snappy. I would recommend softening the rear suspension, and stiffening the front. This should help reduce the oversteer. Also try using a two-way lsd. I have a Nissan Z Performance drift build on my channel. You can check out the tune if you'd like
I just wish my widebody'd 98 WRX would keep the wheels planted without an aftermarket wing on it when it's fully upgraded and tuned. Even with RS tyres on it (i usually only use RM if i'm using race tyres at all aside from wets/inters) and a bunch of ballast in the trunk the rear slides out mid turn, every kind of turn, no matter the throttle input. Bought a second one and upgraded and tuned it the exact same but this one i left stock body and put a wing on it and left it at the "out of the box" setting and there is no rear slide at all even using sports softs....need a stock-style adjustable option in the game.
@@hebisty4163 literally nothing u said has anything to do with what I said. I said I wanted a *stock-styled adjustable wing* along with me saying the WRX won't keep the rear planted.
It depends on the car and the issues you are facing... hence the troubleshoot column in the graph? If your car is understeering then you need more slip on the rear because the rear has too much traction for the front wheels... so because the rear is gripping too well the acceleration causes the front to lose grip... as he said multiple times ... its all about balance too much grip is bad too
A great example is next time you are shopping in a supermarket... put your shopping in the rear (closest to you) then push at decent pace and try and turn... you will get the exact same understeer. Because your creating too much power from the rear (while also your weight is giving the rear more traction) you will notice the exact same understeer you feel when driving a car... and just like a real car when you accelerate the weight is distributed to the rear. So to fix it for a troll( same with a car) you would put your shopping near the front of the trolly... giving the front more traction (grip) while your reducing the grip (slip) on the rear. Making it easier to turn. Reason I'm using a shopping trolly as an example is because you can do this anytime , where as we can't just tune our cars in real life on the spot.
for me it's always gotta be the nurbergring, the track encompasses a wide dynamic range of possible car behavior to tune for best full potential range of handling and weight distribution characteristics car manufacturers come from all over the world to test drive their new releases on the nurbergring a few years ago when the new GT-R was unveiled there, the story goes that, other company drivers like from Porsche couldn't achieve the same lap times that the japanese drivers from Nissan could achieve in the GT-R
Nurburging is the best for the reasons stated above. But if that's too long for you then any balanced track. With a good mix of fast straights and technical corners. Sardegna Road track Spa Deep forest raceway Circuit St.Croix Mount Panorama Trial Mountain - (most probably the 2nd best - straights, sharp hair pins, mid speed swooping corners and some technical slow corners) Monza I would say the above are some smaller balanced tracks that are fine to test tunes on.
I dont understand why you say more lock is more understeer.. but then you change it up saying that locked is for drifting.. how? This has never made sense how people explain it this way.. ive understood locked (more) makes oversteer because the inside tire breaks traction resulting in spin.
Drag racing in gt is just for people that can't drive, they can't get their car around the track so just spend hours trying to race people on the straights only, it's absolutely pathetic!
Finally someone willing to help those who dont know shi* about tuning lol, thank you 👍🏻
Amen to that. I thought it’s was all horsepower and torque but it’s not all that.
Finally! A great guide explaining how all this works. Please do more like this!
I don't comment very often, but you did an exceptional job with this video. 👏
I can just repeat what the other comments are saying. Absolutely amazing guide, especially for someone who hasn't had to do with cars in years.
OUTSTANDING video . I've been playing GT for years and could never get tuning right. This video will help immensely! I salute you sir!

Informative and straight to the point without over complicating the topic, awesome video!
Posting this to the GT Planet forums. Great guide.
Thank you very much for taking the time to make THIS video mate, i am so desperately in need of this!!!! Greetings from a very thankful viewer! 😄👍🏾
Thanks for your explanation. I’ll try to apply it to some cars that I find difficult to handdle.
One of the best explanations. Applies to multiple car sims!
Awesome video! Great spreadsheet like layout for each of the settings. It really helped me get a car under control.
This is exceptional my guy. Plus you've got a dank narrator voice. Keep it up!
Thanks for the tip man... this really helped for my 600PP Alfa
Thanks a million bro I had so much trouble tuning the Porsche 911s this really improved the handeling 👍👍
even if i know fairly much about setups..I LOVED VIDEO..great job..you got my subscription
Brilliant vid. That you sound like Dominic Toretto, makes it even more authentic lol. Keep up the good work 👏
Amazing job bro ...this is simply golden ...I saved this video
Thank you! I'm happy to help
Underrated channel man. Great info and the voice of a god lol

One of the best breakdowns ever
I appreciate this explanation. Just saying it how it is. Helped a lot with tuning my wannabe gr3 racer lol
Great summary. I will test it out.

thanks my man really appreciate the smarts
I believe the most confusing aspect of tuning in GT7 is the use of min / max instead of soft / hard etc to describe the sliders effect.
great video bro
I always use LSD to get tuned up
Hai, how about 4WD cars setting?
Is it same with Front Wheel Drive cars?
Or it have different setting?
Earnt a sub just for using that Raybrig NSX 😎
You should be a voice for audio books. 😄
Hell yeah dude
Good job bro.... 👏 👍 👌 🙌 😄 😀 👏 👍 👌 🙌 😄 😀 👏 👍 👌

There is go to the racing tab and buy a new body... it will remove the wide body

I understand wanting "GRIP' on suspension, what is the benefit of "SLIP" in any instance besides drifting and Dirt racing?
