There are so many people hating on the Supra, saying it is not a good drift car. I used what you gave us without any testing, tweaked it to a good middle and then tried it, and that thing rips! It is amazing! Thank you so much for that in depth tutorial. I was trying to figure it out by myself for quite a while now, but that video really helped a lot!
Just took my drifting to another level IRL and in the game. Thanks for the gems what an excellent video explaining the little things that make the biggest differences in drifting/tuning
Thanks for this video, I had a fair understanding of what I was doing beforehand, But really appreciate the clear and concise explanations of each individual part (with examples) Good video.
This is great advice!!! I just started to drift in gt7 today and these settings work so well also I recommend to use the Mitsubishi lanser evo final 15!
I was going to make a video on drifting in GT7, looks like I don't need to XD Nice detailed explanations and easy to follow. I don't like the fake robotic voice but that is just me being picky.
I'm going to have to learn quite a few things when it comes to drifting in Grand Turismo 7 with a Fanatec GT DD Pro wheel with ClubSport pedals with a Fanatec Drift Wheel and the Fanatec sequential shifter with the Hand brake. I'm going to have to learn how to change the game settings in the tuning menu and how to adjust settings for my Fanatec GT DD Pro base and pedals. I have allot of homework to understand this. 🤯 Overwhelmed right now. Wish me luck. 🤞
@@zenthusiast23 I agree. A bad voiceover can make a video very unprofessional. Would it be okay, to phrase up your video in a "cheat sheet"? So people can look over it while drifting and don't need to remember everything said in the video. Again, you have way to few subs for this kind of content!
I think that's a great idea. I know it can be alot of information to memorize and apply. I will work on putting together a video with a more simplified explanation. Thank you for commenting!

Hi. Im gonna ask a very dumb question. I play GT7 everyday on a PS4. Can you tell me how to upload a replay of a saved race? Thanks in advance for your consideration.
Mk4 is very difficult to tune , mainly cause the tires hit the guards if it’s to low . The Car Has to be a fairly high ride height to start with .But yes all my tuning settings changed after tuning the mk4 , opens your mind up to more extreme settings as it’s a totally different beast to control . . Great tutorial but for those who like creating more realistic tunes . Thanks for sharing with everyone.
This really helped a lot to better understand tuning but I still can’t quite figure out how to optimize my BRZ Sport ‘18. More trail and error I guess. 😅
Not sure I'd get a response, any advice on tuning the Trueno? I've messed around with the settings a lot, but over all it feels like I have to exit a drift early/can't hold one long enough.
the biggest issue I'm having with drifting atm and could be with something with tune is any decline elevation on track can spin me out. I mostly oversteer but also the either of the front tyres(left or right depending on the angle of the corner)
I'm trying to figure out 12k/6.3k spring rate on my 350z build what would you recommend cause that's what I have in real life so I want my GT7 350z as my sim practice car everything else I'm still matching up in game to real life
Things like weight, weight distribution, ride height, and damper ratio can all affect the ride frequency. For a stock 350z setup with 3240lbs and a 53:47 weight distribution, I would recommend something around 2-2.1hz and 1.8-1.9hz. These will give you closest "feel" to 12k and 6.3k. These are just general guidelines, and should be adjusted when modifying anything I listed above. I hope this answers your question.
Surprisingly it's not that weird, I've seen a few r8 drift builds. You will need a torque-vectoring center differential. Set the rear distribution to 100. That will basically make it. RWD.
@@zenthusiast23 yeah! I've got that. I can slide it alright right now but nowhere near how I used to kill it in GT6. I keep getting snapped out of drifts when exiting corners or trying to transition
I can't say exactly what's causing the snap overcorrections without knowing how your car is setup. It could be the differential settings, or the suspension setup. Since its mid engine, more weight is distributed to the back, so you might want to make the rear stiffer than the front. Also, try setting the LSD to 5 / 13 5 / 54 41 / 44 Torque Split - 10/90 I dont know if this will help, but I would recommend just working backwards, making corrections until the problem is fixed. It's time consuming but theres no way around it.
@@Matt09pearce 5:95 is where 7 lets us go now!! Awesome for sure. So that's what I'm running, I can't remember how I had my R8 tuned in GT6 because I did not have the problem then. For now I've been just staring out earlier and getting off the throttle. But that makes for slow exits and more or less kills the pace so idk I gotta get it sorted bad haha.
Very helpful vid 👌... can you do one on tires for drifting.. what tires are the equivalent to tires used by pro drifters . In fd,Rds, . Vs CH the most commonly used .... Its hard to really squeeze the most amount of speed trough the corner.
I'm glad you found it helpful. I know tires in game don't exactly translate well. I will definitely make a video that explains it more. From my understanding, most pro drifters use sport tires with the tread shaved off. So, to answer your question, comfort soft would be the closest equivalent. Thank you for commenting
in game I feel like I have more control in a sense between cs-sh Although near the end of the drift I gain more traction than needed. either way people will eat you alive for using anything but CH in this game, I find sometimes it helps.

Do these same rules and settings apply to awd cars?
Why is it that that you loosen the rear anti roll bar when it says stiffening increases oversteer?

This is because a decline transfers weight off the rear tires, reducing available grip. You need to adjust your throttle input to avoid spinning out.
