Youre my favorite TH-cam bass teacher, you give alot of small detail info that others just ignore and expect u to pick up along the way. You actually talk about stuff 'inbetween'. Also your calm and beginner-friendly demeanor is very nice. Keep it up!
Thanks Dan - great exercise. I always struggled with pull-offs as but only realised from watching you that essentially it just means you pluck the next note from the previous fret using your left hand rather than with your right hand…seems blindingly obvious now, but I guess I always confused it with pops from slap style.
This is a great tutorial for those of us who travel a lot and miss out on weeks worth of practice. This combined with some of your other practice sessions help to reinforce those bass key bass skills.
Grandissimo, hai questa forza di trascinare le persone trasmettendo loro i tuoi insegnamenti; io non so l inglese, a malapena, però grazie a te ho avuto i miei miglioramenti con il basso, Grazie Maestro
That first exercise three note pattern per string is what I used all the way up and down the front board to “unlock “the fretboard and learn all the notes all the way across the front board in the major scales in their modes. I still do that exercise every time I do any major scale exercises that’s the first one I do.
Another nice exercise. All your exercise videos helped me alot. Btw side note you still in SG? You look like uploading new videos during my day times 😄
@@OnlineBassCourses excellent news Dan, I am slightly concerned about my wrist angle in relation too the neck, the position of my thumb on the neck and am trying to cut out flying fingers (any good exercises or tips, many thanks and keep up the good work

Thanks and yes I am!
Sounds great with headphones! Great exercises!
As I have already told you several times…SEI IL NUMERO UNO! 🤟🏻
🙏👍👊
That’s a sweet looking bass! I bet it has some mileage on it. Cool lesson, thank you 🙏
Thanks. Yes, bought it a few years ago but it’s from 1982.
@@OnlineBassCourses if you can find a good second hand instrument, then it’s often better (and cheaper) than a brand-new one 👍🏼
@@Williamk492 very true.
Hey Dan, thanks for the exercise, you make my life more enjoyable.
🙏🙏
Dan, you rock my bass playing brother!!!❤️
awesome, ill give it a go..
Trying this today. Haven't practised in a while.
Thanks Dan. In the second exercise in the video, does it always turn out to be a hammer on? Both when moving up and when moving down?
It’s hammer-ons ascending and pull-offs descending. Make it your own though!
Hey,Dan, how about a lesson on the fretting hand, think I have gotten into a lot of bad habits and am trying to correct them….
Thanks, Paul. I have a couple of lessons already but a refresher is a good idea I think.
Okay thanks I will check them out but a refresher for ironing out bad habits would certainly be a good idea 👍
@@paulwest5402 Will do. Can you let me know any and all bad habits you think you have and I'll include them.

@@paulwest5402 Stay tuned...
Pulling downward when doing pulloffs is the correct way to play it on classical guitar
And bass guitar.
Voice volume good but barely heR the bass😢
Are you listening on a phone or tablet? Might be best to listen on decent speakers or use headphones and you’ll hear it fine then. 🙏
