I built one about 4 or 5 years ago, had two large oak trees about 6 foot in dia., next to my mothers house the insurance company said had to come down for her to keep her home insurance. The tree company quoted her right at $6000. 00 to take them down. I rented a 65 ft. man lift and trimed all the limbs off the two trees with my sister's help, a 16 inch Poulan chain saw and a rope, taking the limbs down in about 18 inch chunks. Then used the Chinese MS 660 knock off with a 42 inch bar with a full chisel skip tooth chain to cut the trunks down. It took no time for it to cut through the hard oak. After that in the same year I cut down some 4 foot trees with it and it has not been used after that. Had no problem with the 5 times I used it, but all total maybe 2 hours of use.
