Ive had 2 flywheel keys broken on my 660... 1 was farmertec and 1 was OEM Stihl😅 lesson learned so now i mostly use decompression valve because of that issue. Third key (Stihl OEM) has stayed together 😊

Plugged carb screen or metering lever could be too low to cause it to scream🤔 Husqvarna 55 needed to have metering lever raised after just muffler mod...
Im having this exact issue with my half clone 660. I did a port nigh identical to yours but the saw was like this out the box. Im on my third key now...and im about to go experiment with changing the air gap a ten thou at a time to control my timing, instead of finding numbers and filing a key. If i report back, i found success and will detail it, since i dont really see anyone trying to advance or retard spark this way, im not finding any info anywhere saying anything other than this is what they did, not if they advanced (by, i assume, moving it closer, or otherwise) If i dont report back soon itll be bc im waiting on a new top end to arrive in the mail, lol. Its not science if you dont take notes! Science! Quitly undermining elementary teachers since 1759 = I before E....after C.
