- Cripsy from Crispys Motorcycle is giving the bike a spanking on the dyno to try and find a good setup. We've still got work to do, but now know what needs changing slightly.

SOMEBODY IS GOING TO WIN ASBO - That's right, somebody who supports the QuickBikes channel and the bikes I'm building is going to be the proud owner of a completely custom built Suzuki Bandit Cafe Racer once it's finished. I'm giving away ASBO to celebrate hitting the 10,000 subs mark to somebody who supports the channel.
To stand a chance of winning the bike once its finished, simply donate £10 to the channel using the PayPal link - www.paypal.com...
Where it says "What's this payment for?", enter "Supporting the channel". That way I know what the payment is for and I can make sure your name goes in my hat.
You can donate as much as you like and each £10 donation to the channel will get you another chance to win the bike as you're supporting us that much more.
If the winner is not in the UK, I can crate it up etc, but the shipping will be their responsibility. If you're in the UK, we'll be able to arrange something.
Please, please, please like and share this video as it will be setting the budget to finish the bike and hopefully raise some additional funds so I can include some spanky bits in the build. The bigger the budget, the better the bike you might end up with.
THIS IS NOT A RAFFLE...
You won't get a ticket or a sticker in the post, but I'll publish a list of names regularly, so you know you you've been entered. Somebody who has chipped in will be randomly picked once the bike is finished and as a thank you for supporting us will be the proud new owner of ASBO.
The very BEST of luck to you if you chose to join in and help support the channel 😁👍

Well that was fascinating. Absolutely awesome - well done👍
Thanks for watching matey 😁👍
@@QuickBikes Enjoying the journey 👍
I had my zx10r track bike tweaked by crispy not long ago, went down the Woolich route.
What a difference it made! The bike pulled like a train and had very smooth power delivery.
Highly recommended.
He's dead good is Crispy, proper loves what he does as well 😁👍
Mate, that was really interesting to follow and you've got to be really well-chuffed with the outcome. Put the fuel tank on, a quick mot, borrow Crispy's cushion and you'll be out on the weekend... 😁👍
Hehehe... Little bit more to make before I can have a go on it matey 😁😊
Another step in the right direction Quicky. Interesting how much you can gain by changing the main jets. Thanks for posting can't wait for the vid.
The jets arrived today matey, so hopefully you won't have to wait long. As long as its rideable, safe and we don't lose anything, I'm basically happy with it. It looks soooooo much better with no airbox imho 😁👍
Great video(s). Thanks for taking us on the journey mate. It'll be good to see that hole disappear once re-jetted. Like you say, it's not really about the top-end BHP. A smooth throttle response is far more desirable. Looking forward to some more fabrication in the meantime. Keep up the excellent work dude.
Thank you matey, much appreciated. Crispy is sure we can get more power with no hole pretty much just by getting the jets right as it's MEGA rich at the minute. It just means another trip to the Dyno when they get here 😁👍
Perfect timing. Enough time to make a cuppa between uploads, well done.
Hope you like it matey 😁👍
Pod filters on CV carbs? I wonder if that hole would disappear with an airbox? Oil-cooled generation motors never liked pod filters without flat slides!
Flat slides on the Bandit 600 are nasty matey, but to be fair I think we're onto something here. The idea is to get the jetting right so AFR is where it needs to be, then we'll muck about lowering needles if need be. Looks like it's going to work though so far 😁👍
Top man is crispy bike sounds sweet as
It's gonna get betterer once we get the jetting right matey 😁👍
Sounds great, best thing is nothing fell off 😂😂😂
The rear light wobbles about a bit though 🤣😅😂
Top bike, tem alguma embraiagem especial para ele não acionar a embraiagem quando troca de marcha?
Fascinating! So the 'it's a 124 if it's a custom pipe' wasn't quite right. 😊❤
Supposed to be yes, but that's very VERY rich. We went to 120s for the second run and we're still way off. 116's and 114's are on their way for us to try. We should get more power and no hole in the power curve once we get the fueling right matey, so stay tuned 😁👍
Interesting to know that there's quite a difference between jet manufacturers. Now show us the results!!! 🤣
That's in part 2 matey 😁
When I used to play around with carbed bikes I seem to remember that DJ sizes were richer than Keihin by a couple of sizes. Not sure about Mikuni though.
The differences between them is quite surprising really... I always thought the number on the jet would be a physical measurement, but turns out to be quite random!?!
what power was it making after the jet change mate?? bike looking sweat naked
Same as with the airbox l, bugger jets and the Wish can, so we're off to a good start. Sort the jetting out and we should see more power with no hole in the power curve
#Crispy "The Bike Whisperer" has added a quick shifter to ASBO 😉👍🏍
Hehehe.... This bike isn't getting one, but the next one will be 😁👍
Still a bit poppy, sounds 👌
Yeah, it's still very rich and dumping fuel into the exhaust on the over run. Sounds really good though and once we get the jetting right, a lot of that popping should go 😁👍
Daft question alert..... how many 'miles' do you think ASBO did on the two runs?
I've no idea matey, not something that was tracked but both runs lasted the same amount of time roughly if that helps...
turn it up 😎😆
Hehehe... I left the microphone by the front door 😂🤣😅
Cant wait to stick my 1200 on a dyno now. 😁 Would you happen to know, or can ask Crispy if the opportunity arises, what would be a good starting size for a 1200? Seems like Dynajet are a bit "far off" on their recommended sizes?
I can ask him, but it's worth noting that jets from different suppliers with the same number have different sized holes in them. So don't compare a dynojet size with a Keihin jet as they will be different. You also need to state if you have an airbox, pod filters, stock or free flow exhaust system as well. I'd suggest just having a chat with dynojet as a Bandit 1200 is a common bike for them 😁👍
Do you know if much difference between a MK1 and 2?
When I did myn I really wanted to put pod filters on my 600 but was massively advised against it. So now thinking would your set up be very similar to what I could put on my MK2 600?
Should be very similar matey... Inline 4, CV carbs etc... No reason why it shouldn't work but as with any tweaking, to set it up properly I'd advise a Dyno run to check it all. 😁👍
Give Crispy from Crispy Motorcycles in Plymouth a call. He should be able to guide you.
