I own a Gsx-650f (2008) black, grey and red. I was going to buy a Benelli 752s but i had to wait 8 months for the delivery. Turned around and there she was. Asked to start it ( Leovince exhaust) and fell in love. You are totally right on all points, and she's a keeper!

This is one of the best and most accurate reviews of my current 2008 Suzuki GSX650F! Mone is the same color as the bikes in this review. For what it is, it definitely has plenty of power... It's no GSXR, but being able to do 0-60 in 3.7 seconds... I've seen 0-60 in as low as 3.5 seconds... Plus that Cycle World 1/4 mile run of 11.94 @ 110.1 mph & the governed 135 mph top speed that can reach over 150+ mph with a tune. It's faster than most 650cc sport touring bikes. The gearing is so aggressive too. I'm at 5400 rpm in 6th gear at 60 mph - via GPS. That gearing really helps the acceleration. It needs all the help it can get with it's very heavy for this type of bike, 532 pound wet weight. I wish it was 100 pounds lighter just for the better performance, but I'm still more than satisfied with my 650F. I also love that this is an extremely rare bike in the United States. It's not rare overseas, so there is an abundance of stock and aftermarket parts for this bike, thankfully. Anyway, thanks for making this video! I gave it a like, and I'll subscribe after this comment. So far, I only have an intro video and one quick "shorts" video of my '08 GSX650F, but I have many more on the way. Safe travels,
    -Chris

Right on, Chris! I really appreciate feedback from actual bike owners. The GSX650F is a great all-around motorcycle for the money. Cheers!

Hey - I’m really considering getting one of these and I’m in Canada - where were you able to find parts and upgrade mods?

I've loved my 650f, great for trips with both highways and twisty back roads

Nice looking, economical bike that probably got good gas mileage. Enjoyed the video Jon and RIDE SAFE OUT THERE!

I like them bikes, lower the front with the triple tree, add some clip on's and you have a pretty good street fighter

seems like basically the Suzuki version of a CBR650F

She is still a good looking bike. I wish they were making something similar still. I have the GSX-S750 and I wish there was a faired version, because as you are starting to approach 120MPH the force of the air gets pretty rough on a naked bike and makes it unstable.

A faired version would make a lot of sense and increase the range of useability.

Check out the GSX-S1000GT, larger displacement but similar style

This would be a great bike in the sport touring category if it just made a little bit more power.

My step son just gave me his 2008 Gsxf 650 he wrecked. It is a black color schemed version. It need front forks and a bit of the plastic. I am going to fix it and sell it I think. I am not a sport bike fan, but if it is free it is for me. I currently ride a 2001 Harley Ultra. I have racked up as to date 105k miles on it so far.

    • @jonsmotorcyclerescueandrev3538
      @jonsmotorcyclerescueandrev3538  ปีที่แล้ว

Nice! Sounds like you're getting good usage out of the Ultra. They are nice bikes. I hope you get to ride the GSX-650F before selling it.

@@jonsmotorcyclerescueandrev3538 I think it is too tall for me honestly. I had to lower the Ultra to get it comfortable. I am sure the Suzuki sits higher.

With the wide, upright handlebar, the GSX650F is easy at lower speeds and in town. Cheers!

How well would this bike fit a shorter rider? I’m 5”5’, (1.65 meters), and plan on checking out one of these bikes here soon.

Great question, Hunter. Since I'm a tall rider, I don't know. The best thing to do is check one out to see how it feels for you. Cheers and good luck in your search!

I own this bike and I’m not sure if this would be a good fit considering it’s a really heavy bike and I’m 5’9 and I still struggle with my feet touching the ground 😭

Hey im 5-6 or 5-7 and i sat on this, the seat is 790mm and it was enough for me to get both my feet on the ground not flat but enough to not tip toe but not enough to flat foot. Its a great bike for those who are my height and want something that they dont need to lower.

It was a replacement for the Katana 600/750 and Bandit 600. European model names and bikes can be different than the US versions. To be clear, I'm in the US and answering the question for the US market. Cheers!

Yes, it's technically a faired Suzuki Bandit
