    As I was watching a Turkish drama ( Hayat Bazen Tatlidir), I kept hearing one of the students say something like "net". Since I could not translate it I thought it must be a slang word. Do you know what it is, please?

    • @mainihal
      @mainihal ปีที่แล้ว +10

      if the word was “net”, it has two meanings: One of these means “clear”; let me give an example on a sentence:
      *Bu konu netleşti. (This topic has become clear.)
      And the second meaning is “clear mark in an exam.” Students usually use the word “net” by second meaning with each other to talk about their exams. Let me give an example also for second meaning:
      *Sınavda üç netim var. (I have 3 clear marks in the exam.)
      I hope these informations may help you😊

    I was a big fan of Turkish TV serials (mehmetcik kutlu Amare) and was actively trying to learn Turkish language
    I still have Turkish friends I met on Duolingo
    Later I learnt about their true side - Armenians, Greek and Assyrian genocide
    Blind hatred of Kurdish people
    Support for Pakistan sponsored terrorism against innocent Indians and Afghans
    It was enough to open my eyes to reality

      Being critical of the Turkish state is very much understandable.
      Treating all Turkish individuals as if they are genocide-denying, Kurd-haters is completely wrong. I can understand you wouldn't wish to be friends with that kind of person, but 90 million people don't believe the same things.
