Just stumbled onto your channel. Ive got a motorcycle project where Im going to have to modify the swing arm. I would have never thought about caping the outside of the extension the way you did. Just learned something very valuable. Thanks for the video!
Looks sweet, I like the clipped corners on the outer plate! I'm 100% sure this guy is gonna love this too! He'll be able to get off the starting like MUCH better & faster to potentially win more races! Get that holeshot! This makes me miss my riding days! I was more of a 4wheeler guy than dirt bikes but i love them all. Started on the old 3wheelers back then too. Im still here to tell about it too. I did have one incident where I broke my leg(in 3 spots) & dislocated my ankle at the same time, but it was dut to sabotage to the 'trail', not my lack of skill. Someone put a 16' railroad tie across the trail I was riding on - it wasn't there 16 hours before cause i was riding there then! Saw it at last minute & was able to get front wheels over it but back tires hit it & sent me head over heels landing w\ leg under me. Lucily someone was meeting up with me & was able to help get me out and to ER. That was only 29 - 30 years ago now! I miss my '88 Suzuki LT500R Quadzilla 2stroke 500cc that thing was indeed quick!!
Starting to tell your age talking about riding 3wheelers! 👍 I am right there with you. The railroad tie was a💩move ! Could have ended a lot worse. Be Safe!
@@allenbrown7820 Feeling older, but reminiscing about those good old days. I have a friend who is 82 but runs around like a 32 y\o 'kid' every single day. I think he is semi-ADHD, but never diagnosed (not like today when every kid is diagnosed with something and given pills as soon as they get out of diapers) but he literally acts nothing like an 82 y\o senior citizen, barely has slightly grew hairs coming in(JFM dye helps), and is still 99% on point mentally(better than most young). Saying all that, I am now 47 y\o('77 bd) and have no idea how he's always bouncing around, humming and whistling. I can't imagine having that much energy in 35 years, I can barely get through the days I have now at my age let alone how difficult things get as you age. I don't know how he does it. Anyways yeah I'm older now, I rode 3 wheelers in the 90's and later 4 wheel ATV's and it was so much fun to do! Kids today are so sheltered and over protected and out of touch with each other it's sad. You don't see kids outside playing on every street anymore. When I was younger, I was out all day & night til 'street lights came on'. We were always playing street hockey, throwing balls around, tagging bases or whatever else, but never were we sitting inside the house all day(unless it was thundering and raining). It's sad to see kids these days, they can operate an I-phone but can't socialize at all. That's all, gonna stop now!🤔🤦🏻♂️ Idk, sorry for going off on a tangent & ranting. Just got carried away on the keyboard today! Missing those nice, good old days I had back then, I guess. Just enjoying my machine, a friend or 2 riding along on theirs & riding the trails through the woods, enjoying fresh air and the seasons weather!! 🤔😎🚜👍🏻🏍️🚲🏞️⛰️🌾
That 🥓 🍳 sound is what you wanna hear. The 'bacon sizzling sound' is commonly used to describe a welding machine that's set up properly and working well. 👍🏻👌🏻🔋🔌⚡💥💨⚠️😎👨🏻🏭🕶️🧯🛠️🔧🗜️🔩⚙️⛓️
Tina leaves so much food out for them on the porch it's hard to keep the opossums away from it...he can't be hungry...and the little prick keeps killin birds and leaving those on the porch too
I see we aint only ones dealing with possums getting on the porch eating cat food . What is funny is when it’s dark and you realize the possum is on the porch and starts hissing scaring the wife and the girls. (Well they don’t think it’s funny) Be Safe!
Sorry about that: paint question here... What kind do you use? It looks like DTM in a can... I think your problem solving here is well thought of, with the external pieces rapping everything solidly (I learned something here). Good job!

Ready to ride now
FACTORY!!!!
As usual , outstanding job!!!!!
Great job. I liked the way you wrapped the outside plates. Keep up the great work!
Thanks! 👍
2 'plates' of different lengths, from different sides, welded seams in different places - that's very clever! CB, thank you!
You bet!

Extending those outside channels beyond the original cut line was genius! I’m gonna’ steal that one.

As always great work!
Better than factory, if you could buy one.
that was a good job -did it fit -
It's not really possible for it to not fit...nothing about how it fits on the bike was changed
Like a glove😁
@@bombardier3qtrlbpsi thats a great result ;a good job done right -thanks UK ;;
Nice job😊
Did you use the arccaptin mig 200
No...welded that with one of my Millermatic 252's...The one I keep .030 solid wire in all the time
I am glad you did not extend the swing arm to make it shorter.
Thanks for watching and commenting

That's just Rustoleum paint...nothing special there
@NBSWELDING CB did you make that positioner? If so how about some more info on how you did it... really like how functional you have your shop set up.
I bought the positioner...it's an Allfab
Great idea CB. Can I ask what your settings are on your 252 for that 14 gauge please?
Great job. It looks like it was made like that.
Thanks CB.
17.7 volts and .030 solid wire @ 211 inches per minute....75/25 mix gas
@NBSWELDING Thanks CB! I appreciate that.
Sweet
👍
Your soap stone sharpener works well 😅
Really nice Job! But are those stickers upside down?😂
No
Ouch it that a jab a Ralph's power tongs
I don't understand this comment well enough to make a reply but thanks for watching and commenting
