I've been on carnivore for a year now. My back is destroyed, and so far my severe back pain has barely dropped. My surgeon said she knows why I hurt, but she doesn't know how to fix it. I have mild scoliosis, arthritis, degenerative disc disease, spondylitis, L4-L5 is pushing into the spinal cord. I'm not going to stop eating carnivore because it has healed many of my issues. I just pray that it helps my spine soon.

About the perm nerve damage. I had some in neck/hand for 7 years. Came across a study showing BDNF massive increases at 72+ hrs of fast and another study showing bdnf creates nerve regrowth. I had already been in the fasting/keto sphere for awhile, but was never able to fast more than like 20-30 hours. After reading the two studies I pushed it and did 76 hours. My nerve pain is 100% gone. After suffering for 7 years it was that simple and I'm finally free. I regret not doing it earlier.

I have advanced cervical and lumbar stenosis that was made much worse by a doctor attempting epidurals. Both failed and doubled my pain levels. I’ve been carnivore for almost 2 years after 3 years of ketovore. The lifestyle has fixed or reversed many issues but not the stenosis. Coffee doesn’t seem to affect my pain levels. I am at the mercy of the VA sick care system. It’s a complete joke. All they want to do is send me back to the “doctor” that failed the epidurals. No thank you.

Look into megadosing B1/thiamin. Look at EOnutrition playlist about it. Coffee, teas have tannins (in many many plants) that prevent B1 absorption, as does alcohol, sugars, environmental poisons. It just might be the thing.

Keep it up. I’m a veteran with the same service connected disabilities. There is hope. You need to find a chiropractor that knows how to work your muscle tissues. I went 3 times a week for 4 months and was getting a 90 minutes massage every week for 12 weeks. For me it was my muscles. My muscles needed a lot of therapy. Now I try really hard to keep up the rehab. I wouldn’t be able to do anything right now if it wasn’t for my chiropractor and her knowledge of human anatomy.

Go to doctor Zsofia Clemens. Most of her patients need to restore their intestinal barrier to normal as quickly as possible, because they have no time to lose. If you are such a patient then go to her. But if you still have time, try doing a carnivore diet with a certain fat protein ratio as she suggested. Macronutrient (dry weight) ratio = fat : protein = 2 : 1
Or if we translate it to food, that is about 100 grams of meat (an average meat) that goes along with 35 grams of added fat. This is the basic ratio. Some people can't eat too much protein because the protein will be converted into sugar which will hinder the healing process.

I had an injury last year, falling through a wooden floor, landing on a joist- straddle injury. I have a compressed L5 fracture , with a torn, swollen ligamentum flavum, spinal stenosis, dislocated SI joint, diastasis of the symphysis pubis and M. Gluteus Medius torn from its insertion on the left. The pain was crippling. I refused surgery. After 36 days on the carnivore diet, the pain is mild. I move much better. I am not taking analgesics. I find I don't want coffee. I make it and forget to drink it. Of course my 8 kg weight loss helps but the stiffness and nerve pain is so much better, it feels like a miracle. I am a physician myself and the past 35 days have radically changed my outlook. I needed to understand from a bio-chemistry point what is going on, when I went back to how we were taught, the astonishing thing is that we were taught the correct physiology, bio-chemistry and chemical pathology but all of this was subverted when we got to clinical medicine.

Have you tried not having it for a month? If you have, and it made no difference to your health, or not enough difference to be worth giving it up, then there's nothing wrong with it. It's not optimal, but for you it's worth it. If you haven't tried giving it up, you don't really know whether you could feel even better without, so might be an experiment worth doing, or not, depending on your goals. Dr Chaffee is aiming for optimal, most of the rest of us are aiming for good enough with an occasional vice, and there's nothing wrong with that, it's a personal choice.

I have measurable nerve damage causing significant pain, they suspect due to my hypermobile spine. At least there was nothing obviously causing the problem beyond the fact my joints including my spine move far more than they should. Basically I was told live with it there's nothing we can do. Keto stopped the pain. I still have some weakness so clearly the nerves haven't entirely healed, probably because they still take abuse daily, but no pain is a game changer. That wasn't even carnivore so if carnivore seems to extreme consider keto much easier to start. I'm still having some issues that keto hasn't healed so I'm going to try carnivore (I'm weaning down) so I'll be interested to see if I get further improvement in that area too. I have heard some people with EDS say it improved on carnivore so maybe my hypermobile joints can stop abusing my poor nerves, here's hoping.

I wonder if they would find oxalate crystals in the tissue from compressed discs and arthroscopy surgeries? There is a special tissue processing technique needed or the crystals dissolve. If the special processing and stain isn't ordered, the pathologist wouldn't see it in the tissues sent to pathology after surgery. Some facilities don't even process the removed tissue from these surgeries.

But a couple of weeks ago I tried using a single No Doze caffeine tablets for my workouts and had absolutely NO increase muscle soreness. Feels so much better having caffeine for weight routines. I had that diagnosis, and 3 years later they changed it to 'disintegrating discs'. Because if you have the surgery there is no guarantee it will help your pain! If the Ablation isn’t lasting long enough or cutting the pain good enough, then get the surgery. You may still get the ablation’s after if surgical doesn’t fix it completely! Good luck! I’ve had 3 neck surgeries, first one was great, the next two were awful! I was quite sick, and after researching, decided to to intermittent fasting, that is ... have an 'eating window' every day. You may choose to fast 12/12 to start. That is, say you have breakfast at 8 a.m., then at 8 pm. you will cut off your food intake. Water is okay, and I do make fresh herbal tea. My fasting window was 12 noon - 6 p.m. I did this to help my long covid as I was failing fast, but in 4 months, I lost 2 sizes, and yes, my health improved. This, with zero sugar/substitutes/processed foods and super low carb (about 1/2 c. plain yogurt w/cinnamon/frozen berries to break my fast, then carnivore for dinner around 6). That's just my experience - I'm not a struct carnivore. Dr. Jason Fung is the fasting expert if you want to check his channel. All the best! xx from Canada

Australia. An instance. My last instance of coffee. About 2 half weeks ago, I had a black coffee, that night, all okay. But the next 2 weeks, the pain in my legs got worse, worst in left leg, lower, but right leg also, but left leg worst. It took about 12 nights before no more cramps. Had to walk off. Now I have done this for about 9 times, over the last year and a half, more. I have been on carnivore for the last year, before I had trauma. Or the last 6 months, Since Oct 2023, totally full carnivore. Had a slip up in 2023 with some trauma, over 5 months, went to a few vegs, only cabbage, pickles, bit of other vegs., all with meat. But ate too much. Then in Sept, MRI showed , I had an anaplastic Ependymoma, 16 September top of skull, I was 75 years old. Operated on, probably not long to go, but that's life. I was full carnivore for 1 year previously, 2022, But now full carnivore. 325 to 360 grams a day, some times 400g. PKD diet, ICMNI Hungry. Not sure what happens next, nothing in spine, all on top of head. Only small, but growing again. But only few vegs when doing carnivore. Very few, now nothing.
But any way, that is coffee and leg cramps. I was a vegan for 40 years, vegan plus vegetarian, I got to 147 Kg then had aggressive malignant melanoma, no radiation or chemo, in 2016 December, went low carb, with meat, but had prostate cancer since then, Gleason score of 7, never touched it, its good. Now we have a brain tumor, lol. Some parts of life were good, and some with trauma. All good.

Hi, not related to this video, but I am trying to get your attention 😊 I wonder if you can answer this for me. My almost 8 year old daughter is showing signs of precocious puberty, so far confirmed today by bone ageing from a wrist xray that has aged her at 9.82, her chronological age is 7.85, she was referred to an endocrinologist due to having sore breasts....no other physical signs. I switched to carnivore 2 weeks ago and she is transitioning, but currently more ketovore than full carni....My question is, could precocious puberty be stalled or reversed by following this diet? We will continue regardless, but I really don't want her to have to deal with womens issues at such a young age if it's avoidable, she is already intellectually advanced but I don't think she will handle being physically ahead of her peers as well. Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated. Just for some background, our diet was mostly good for the 1st 4 years of her life being sugar and processed food free, with the last 3-4 years slowly but increasingly declining. I am careful not to use plastics and chemicals in our home as best I can and we ate an organic, whole food diet for most of her life ( the decline in food was the introduction of sugar and some processed foods, not a full on SAD) We can no longer afford organic food, especially going carnivore. Caffeine affect is quite dependent on genetics and very wide ranging. Some people will feel no effect and get no withdrawals, others will appear inebriated if they have small amounts, most of us are somewhere between. It's not that one lacks self awareness to perceive the effect or the other is over reacting or experiencing placebo, it's that they have a genetic variation that means the process caffeine differently. It's easy to assume because we experience something one way, that others lack awareness or are imagining that they are experiencing something different. Don't make that mistake.
Take another example of super-tasters vs non-tasters, again it's genetic. It's a misnomer as non-tasters can taste most things but there are a few exceptions eg vodka. Give a super taster vodka and they'll likely accuse you of trying to poison them it tastes that bad, give a non-taster vodka and they claim it tastes of nothing, everyone else is in between. As a super-taster, I always assumed people were just making an excuse to be drunk when they claimed their friends had spiked their drink with vodka, because there is nothing that could hide the taste of vodka. My friends decided to prove me wrong and tried spiking my double brandy and coke with a shot of vodka, because it's easy to hide the taste of vodka! They were surprised when I refused to drink it because it had vodka in. Both experiences are true, we were both wrong to assume the other couldn't be experiencing what they claimed.

Guys, I’ve never been a big meat person AND IM STRUGGLING hardcore on this diet. It’s murder to me.
I have gotten over the craving for carbs for the most part and it’s not so much that I want those foods it’s that I don’t want meat.
I don’t like the taste. I actually hate it.

@@Westcoastrocksduhit might be worth mixing up your meats and how you cook them. Sautéed prawns, braised steak, grilled chicken, roast beef, scrambled eggs, roast lamb, etc, etc. Variety and how you cook your food can make all the difference.

If it’s too big, take some material at the side and fix it with a rubber and/elastic on the inside of the shirt. It will pull in the tshirt in at the waist and make a pretty starburst pattern on the outside 😊

A great amount of back pain is psychosomatic. That is the truth few want to understand. A Carnivore Diet can help clear thinking and therefore help back pain.

Also vitamin B deficiency, which may not show up on test levels, which over years (and tests say it's all good) turns into pernicious anemia. Experience speaking here.
