I’ve been told almost everything I ever complained about was in my head. Shameful! I was 11 when I first got really sick and it took 30 yrs to FINALLY get something done.
@@torakfett3351 same here! I’ve been sick since I was 9 and I’m 28 and just now finding out what’s wrong with me! I almost took my own life because of the fatigue. I was so lost and just felt like giving up because I felt there was no point. But I’m finally eating better, and doing better 🙌🏻
I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia about ten years ago. Over the years, l stopped drinking coffee, eating sugar, doing a gluten free diet and a keto diet. Substantial difference in the shooting pain l used to suffer nonstop throughout the day..... Doctors aren't interested in helping at all. Mine told me to stop watching TH-cam. She should start watching, she might learn something. Thanks for the great upload Doctor Berry👏👏👏👍.
I have had untreated fibromyalgia for 25 years and I can barely walk. All I can say is that it is definitely not being caused by meds because I have none. So I gotta go with the foods being the problem. I am going to try this Keto thing. Wish me well please and maybe send a prayer my way, I sure could use it.
I went from Keto to Carnivore, and I will tell you that not eating veggies has helped my fibromyalgia. Especially the nightshade plants. I know it also helps arthritis to not eat these as well. I pray for your lifestyle journey and hope you find the way you need.
I gave up carbs and anything white in my early50’s I was up 30 pounds in pain depressed tired but still going full pace with raising sons working holding on to house getting tense social lives always on demand. I started seeing myself in lass pain even fogettin* about it. But this is the same reason all of a lot of diseases could be cured or managed through “ proper nutrition” no drugs
If you're willing to try new solutions, I would encourage you to consult with an osteopath and find a Hellerwork practitioner. I have had excellent success with both. An osteopath can find things that a Chiropractor can't and the Hellerwork practitioner will release your fascia which may be the cause of your pain.
I have had fibromyalgia for 25 years. I now have small fiber neuropathy and am connecting the dots and trying to learn how to heal with diet and supplements. I worked in the pharma industry for 25 years and am APPALLED at what it has become. It wasn’t like this until the marketing eclipsed the science.
Magnesium has been a wonderful thing for me. I take 65 mg of Magnesium Oxide daily. Basically a pill cut into 4 pieces. My toes have been numb for years and it spread to the bottoms of my feet. My balance was affected and I had fibromyalgia also. The Magnesium brought peace to my body, my toes and the bottom of my feet woke up. My balance is so much better and the pain in my body is gone.
I had desperate pains and shocks all the way up my thighs. Nothing worked. Then white iodine , full dropper in water , 10 day challenge. Day 4 shockes decreased 30%. By day 10 pain to zero. Got nice effect , 13 hot flashes per night dropped to 3 per night, then decreased to zero as I took more as needed. I'm at 4x a month by 5 years later. Soooo, I had too much mercury and no one knew. Ask for help from Jes-us, to find natural help.
you never had fibro you have had small fiber neuropathy the whole time. i went through the same thing but i also had sarcoidosis and 80% of people with sarcoidosis have small fiber neuropathy. small fiber neuropathy mimics fibro almost 100% my problem has been getting the doctors to ignore the fibro DX on my records
My friend works for a big law firm in Vancouver, Canada, and she has literally seen drug companies bury treatments and cures for various issues because the company wouldn’t make money off it. They buy the treatment or cure and just make it so no one can make that drug. She wouldn’t specify but she said she is seriously disturbed by what she’s seen them hide.

As a retired physician I find it absolutely fascinating that SO many disorders, diseases and ailments are caused by hyperinsulenemia. I so wish that this information had been available when I was in practice. Very grateful to Dr. Berry for bringing all this information out to the public. He has spent so much of his time and labor to the benefit of others, and his videos are free for all who wish to improve their health. He has convinced me to switch to a low carb diet, and I am looking forward to improved health. Thank you, Dr. Berry!
Doctors should continue educating themselves after medical school, as Dr. Berry, Dr. Mason, Dr. Baker and others have done. We learned Pluto was a planet in school. Now we know, what we were taught was wrong.
@Page Riskin if you read Dr Derrick Lonsdale’s book about thiamine deficiency, dysautonomia, and high carb malnutrition, it will blow your mind when it comes to the effects of hyper insulinemia and how it can lead to sub clinical beri beri and other effects across the board. My jaw hung open most of the time I read it, despite a solid medical and nutrition background.
@@karuzelastudio7858 well, as physicians completely ruined my life and gave me chronic illness by ignoring my initial symptoms I now spend my time researching and sharing that research with others to prevent them from having the same experience if possible. Highly recommend reading unwell woman by elinor Cleghorn and doing Harm by Maya dusenbery. Physicians add some of the most harm to society, particularly to women. What are you doing to improve the world?
I've had fibromyalgia and CFS for over 35 years, and I doubt if there's been a day go by that I didn't think about just giving up on everything. After having it for so long, I'm too weak and exhausted to do anything. I can't hardly go to the bathroom or get anything to eat, much less take the steps to adjust my diet, or anything else to improve my health. Unless you're in this bad a shape, you can not possibly imagine how hard it is just to sit up and move in the slightest, much less do anything more. I have no one to help me either. Because I don't look sick and disabled, I get no understanding and help. It's a living nightmare I wouldn't wish on anyone.
Renee I’ll add my 2 bits and say that I’ve also reversed 25 years of excruciating pain and bone-crushing fatigue by eating strict keto-carnivore. I had to also eliminate dairy to get complete relief (and I sure miss cheese and sour cream, but I don’t miss the pain at all!!) but it was SO worth it!!
Don't give up I applied for disability 3 times and got denied the times. Had to try something on my own. Keto is free. I work two jobs 6 days a week. I am 50 now I don't take any pills.
I am going to stop rhe carbs. I have had pain for so many years. Im 73 now this started in my 30s. Fibromyalgia has effected every part of my life and my childrens life. I was not able to go to their activities or share after work activities because of pain and exhaustion. I DIDNT and dont attend church or senior activities that i would love to go to. I pray for all the young people with FM that a cure will come.
I agree with lowering carbs - especially wheat and processed sugar to help. However, my intense body pain came from STATINS that I had been poisoned with for 15 years. When I told my doctor and pharmacist that I was in so much pain and exhausted, they UPPED my dose. I felt better 2 weeks after getting off of them.
Statins are PURE POISON!! Within 2 months of taking them, I lost all muscle - I couldn't hold my head up. I finally called my doctor and he said to STOP THEM IMMEDIATELY - and HOPEFULLY my muscle would return - they weren't sure. Thankfully it did but a drug with that severe side effects - that aren't all that rare, should NOT be FDA approved!
@@moonhunter9993 I agree. I recently fell off the pizza wagon and paid the price of eating wheat for a few days. Still, the pain was nothing like what I suffered with Lipitor.
Exactly my experience. Six doctors consulted as I became unable walk more than 50 yards w/o gritting my teeth in pain, each neglected to mention that 5 to 30% of people had painful leg reactions. I was told I would likely have much increased risk of stroke and heart attack if I quit taking them. I was told that the pains came from spinal stenosis, and I needed to go to a neurosurgeon to get evaluated for surgery to help such pain. I went onto Pubmed for 20 minutes, and found six papers with data explaining such pain I had had increasing for 25 yrs. I cut to 1/2 dose with no improvement. My GP said try 1/10th dose to see. I did that, and had no relief. I quit, and had almost immediate relief, and no longer needed Ibuprofen to live. Buyer beware. IMHO
I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, and later diagnosed with pcos and ultimately stage 4 endometriosis. This started almost 30 yrs ago. As a nurse at the time for 14 years I turned to keto, despite a rheumatologist telling me I would suffer for the rest of my life. I refused Lyrica due to way too many side effects. I continue to find relief by following a low carb high protein diet, and a steady weight-lifting regimen. I took high-grade iodine drops after being diagnosed with Hashimotos, and my nodules disappeared. Ditch the carbs, cake and bread. My A1c remains low. I completely revised my diet. Magnesium reversed my plantar fascitis. . None of this happened overnight. I did acupuncture and chiropractic visits, and meditation for anxiety and depression instead of pain meds and welbutrin. Did end up w/a hysterectomy. Firm believer in ashwhaghanda and Sam-E. I'm 60 years young and getting better every day. Still working as a nurse too for 28 years. I occasionally have a drink and some chocolate, but try to make it rare. Lots of options. Take back your power folks and do your research. America is about options!
I wish my wife would follow up on her symptoms and situation as creatively and scientifically as you did. If I research this topic and suggest something, she discounts it.
My wife started getting fibromyalgia 3 years ago and in March this year it was intolerable. She was in pain all the time. We changed to a Keto diet and she saw improvement within 2 weeks. We have now been doing Keto for 8 months and she has no more pain. She can now even eat some junk carbs again when she feels like it. What has been the most amazing thing is that we actually don't WANT to eat the stuff anymore because we don't enjoy the taste anymore! A little bit every now and again maybe. I enjoy every single meal and always look forward to my meals. However, we are never hungry anymore and fasts 16-20 hours a day. I used to have to eat 5 times a day. It's liberating to not have to constantly worry about the next meal. We have both seen multiple health markers improve (9 for me) and not that either of us had much weight problems (my wife gained a bit too much maybe the last year before we started Keto), but so many other things were problematic that we used to blame on 'age'. I had Vertigo for 5.5 years. Three months on Keto and it was gone!
I'm a PT. I had a patient with fibromyalgia that went on strict keto. She lost >60 lbs and drastically improved her pain symptoms, and thus did not need PT anymore. Did PT help? - A little, but we both felt it was diet that made the biggest change.

Have you ever heard of The Conditioned Mind and how it works? It's kind of like if we've been doing something/behaviors for long enough, it becomes damn near impossible to change that behavior. CBT, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, is required to fix it. Sad but true, my friend. How our minds can do this should be taught in grade school. That it's not is certainly for the same reasons that research paper was removed. You can't manipulate people who have control of their minds.
2+ years into my keto/ Ketovore journey and by adding electrolytes, especially magnesium, my fibromyalgia symptoms have improved so much. I no longer depression, migraines or joint pain. Instead, I now am able to work 40+ hours at a physical job that I love. I have lost 65 pounds and I am down to 24% body fat. I am lifting weights and working on building muscle. Something that would have been impossible just a few years ago. To say that Keto saved my life is an understatement.
@@dianac2498 I would say on average I have .7 in ketones on the mornings that I test. The longer that you do keto the less excess ketones that your body makes.

My close friend suffered with fibromyalgia for many, many years. She would get med upon med for 2 to 3 years until her body rebelled and she would end up in the emergency room for some random extreme problem. At that time, and after many tests, the emergency doctor would tell her to stop all meds immediately. Slowly over time her regular doctor would again stockpile her meds, until once again she was in emergency. This cycle repeated 3 or 4 times until on her final emergency visit she was told that she had cirrhosis of the liver. Being she had never consumed alcohol (for religious beliefs), she was shocked. The doctor told her that over use of medications could also cause cirrhosis of the liver. He told her to get off meds and stay off meds. This time, she committed to stay off meds. The next day she quit diet coke, started to take short walks, improved her eating and sleeping habits. It took less than 2 years and she considers herself fibromyalgia free. The condition of her liver means she has to take care with her meals. (Which, honestly, has been a blessing.)
@@joanneclark8256She just has to be careful what she eats so her liver doesn't have to work as hard because it was damaged, leading to cirrhosis, from so many medications.

My partner suffered from fibro, svt and ibs for years, passing out, unable to keep most food down, fatigue and lethargy, sleep apnoea and more. It was terrifying. Doctors treated him awfully, called him a hyperchondriac, prescribed peppermint tablets and told him to “just eat more vegetables” as he was somewhat overweight. He was traumatised by all of this, terrified he was dying and nobody cared to help. It got to such a low point when he said f this and took things into his own hands. He changed his diet himself by paying attention to his body, his inner compass, and following a low-fodmap diet (with some changes of course), he also sought therapy for his trauma, and made great strides in both physical and mental health. Now after so much hard work and paying close attention to his mind and body, he is able to eat/drink whatever he likes (yet still a majority healthy diet), he is thriving and is so much happier and empowered and confident. I’m so proud of him and so happy to be out of that hell. There is hope out there, please listen to your body and mind and take care of your self first and foremost ❤️ tune in to your needs and your inner compass, it takes time, but you do have an inner guidance system that is so powerful if you can learn to listen to it and differentiate it from fear responses. And boy does it take practice and a lot of self love, but mine and my partner’s inner compass has pointed us down the right path time and time again, where most doctors have mislead us, doubted us, and fed that fear and self doubt. Yes, doctors can help with certain ailments, but with these invisible illnesses it becomes a real skill to be able to wade through their “I know better than you because med school” gaslighting gatekeepy bs and stand up for the real pain and suffering you feel inside yourself, and what you know to be real and true.

I have a very similar story.. no luck with doctors or specialists and always telling me I was in the wrong specialists office and once I started working with a meditation coach, healing my energy field and changing my diet completely I cured my intractable pain syndrome. For me it was adhesive arachnoiditis however many doctors first told me it was fibro. I also cured my diabetes, pcos, endometriosis, anxiety, depression, ptsd, asthma and every single chronic illness that lived in my body. It was only when I was so fed up from being led astray from people who pretend to be authority figures that I figured things out myself. Now I live with zero pain and was also able to conceive naturally - something I’ve been told since I was 15/16 would likely be impossible. I take high doses of magnesium, melatonin, vitamin D3 and K2 and C, have for a least 2 of the 3 yrs keto(like I mentioned before, have also lost 72 lbs)While I have gotten tremendous relief, and thankful for so many who get their cure all, I did not get my cure all. Still grateful for the improvements over past 3 yrs. It’s just very hurtful for many who have still suffered pain like I have for over 16 or more yrs to come on here and read others calling it a fake or bogus disease, when I live it and have seen many specialists. It’s very inconsiderate to those who live it and do not get their full cure all. I haven’t taken drugs for Fibro for over 14 yrs, because they did not help and caused other side effects, but my chronic pain is a reality that I live with every single day. I will still watch, learn, and keep staying on it. It’s certainly helped more than anything else. People need to be respectful for what they do not know or live themselves and every one is different. I agree with you on many points Dr Berry, but it isn’t a cure all for everyone who truly has fibromyalgia, and especially from neurological and central nervous system issues like mine was diagnosed. I do appreciate your care and help though. Thank you Dr Berry and Neisha.
The longest 72 hour fasts also play a big role in reversing fibro. Did you only do keto/ carnivore or are you also doing IF? Try playing around with a 72 hour fast and see what effect that has for you. This is a long and arduous battle, but you will prevail. Don't give up!
@@The_Joy_Finder Yes, agreed. Many years of damage isn’t always a quick fix for some of us. And yes, I do regularly IF every day at least 16-18 hrs, and also fasted for days at times since 2017. I’ve also done complete carnivore for months(I follow Makayla Peterson too. I just came off of a 21 day fast. I’ve definitely seen improvements these past yrs since I began in Sept 2017, it just hasn’t been a cure all for my all over pain. I try to stay positive. I feel many people call food issues Fibromyalgia, when it really isn’t always food issues for all Fibro sufferers. It isn’t that cut and dry for Fibroymyalgia. Sometimes every illness isn’t a quick fix with a magic pill/bullet/diet, so to speak. Diet certainly is key to helping though, and I do believe that! I am happy for those who have gotten their complete cure, but some out there still haven’t, and we should always have compassion and empathy and a curiosity for staying open to learning for what illnesses any of us do not fully understand. There are MANY theories out there about fibromyalgia and even the specialists who deal with it regularly do not have the complete answers. Just like some cancers, not everything is a cure all for all. Everyone is different. I’m not looking for anyone to fix me, or feel sorry for me, only sharing my truth and reality. I’ve been working Dr Westman, Dr Berry, Neisha and Kristie Sullivan’s program since 2017 very seriously follow them and take their advice. They have helped me so much these past yrs. I am continuing on, and won’t give up. Thank you for your kind response.
@@jenn_jean_kent_artist I agree. I have a dear friend who also struggles with FM. Sometimes it is not so clear cut. Compassion is very important. I hope your complete cure knocks on your door soon.
Last May I felt so ill and seemed to have all the symptoms of fibromyalgia. These had progressed, getting worse for months. Whether this was the case at the time or not I can only speculate, but every part of my body seemed to hurt, I only had to sit down and I would fall asleep whatever time of day and I felt like I had lost the ability to reason or remember anything. I was unable to get a doctors appointment due to the Covid outbreak and turned to TH-cam for answers. Luckily for me I found you, Sten Eckberg and Rob Cywes. After only a few days of being low carb the change was amazing. The pain had pretty much gone, my mental clarity was back and once I got up in the morning I never even thought about wanting to sleep. Thank you for getting the message out there. You really do change peoples lives for the better.
I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, I had many other symptoms and finally 15 years later I was diagnosed with late stage lyme disease and multiple co-infections. I will say the ketovore diet has been a tremendous help in alleviating symptoms and I thank you Dr. Berry from the bottom of my heart. God bless.
Please don’t let anyone convince you that there isn’t a cure for fibro, fibro can be treated. I’ve seen about 7 patients including my stepmomma get cured so if you’ve been suffering from chronic pain and fibromyalgia, there is treatment that really works. Contact me if you need help....
@@auroracasteel7561 - Me too....FM and late-stage Lyme. Unfortunately, I also have exocrine pancreatic insufficiency aka EPI, so I have to take prescription enzymes to be able to eat anything at all, and can't eat much fat even with the enzymes, making keto impossible. I've been on Paleo for over 2 yrs. but it hasn't helped my FM and has emptied my wallet.
Thankyou sir. I’m from the U.K. and I suffer from fibromyalgia. It all started with a spinal incident which led to me getting acute lumbar spondylosis and degenerative disc disease. I’ve been on morphine and fentanyl 112mg and have been on thyroxine, sertraline for depression. I have constant brain fog, plus my weight has gone through the roof and I have a constant need to eat sugary foods and carbs. Then the pain started getting worse, my knees were hurting, now diagnosed with arthritis and need a total knee replacement, but in April this year the orthopaedic surgeon said I had been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. This was a first discovery for me. When you mentioned insomnia, tiredness depression etc. I thought wow these are 90% of my symptoms. By watching your vlog and reading this article I am going to see my GP, plus I’m going to do a macro managed diet where my carbs will be 35%, my proteins 45% & my fats at 20%. I am hoping my doing this that my fibromyalgia will dissipate, the weight come off, the stomach pains go away and my ability to sleep at night will return. Plus my HB1aC numbers go down, along with my pre diabetes results. Once again thanks. I found the article fascinating and I agree, this looks like big pharma seeing their dollar bill profits depleting. No company should have this power. It’s frightening that so many politicians have taken backhanders from big businesses to sway decisions in their favour rather than in the favour of the people, who actually vote them in. Your political system in the USA is scary at times. Wish me luck 🍀
Hey Julie, please don't neglect the importance of your body armor (muscles 💪) in fighting chronic disease! You especially need strength training & cardio multiple times a week with insulin resistance and others. Don't overdo it, enjoy the ride, feel better after. Get great sleep!
Got diagnosed with this, called out to jesus for help... I then quit all my medication, anti depressants and pain medication and started weight lifting, high protein diet. I'm okay now 🙂 😊
This is absolutely true. I got diagnosed with fibromyalgia and lupus in 83. I’ve been in ketosis for 5 years and it got rid of it and the depression. I’m not taking anything for the lupus either and I had it bad in the kidneys when I was a teenager.
Cured lupus. That is interesting. I have eaten keto and gone more over to carnivor now to cure my Rosacea, I have type 1, flushing, and it has been much much better after i changed my lifestyle… So glad to hear you are well now. Thanks for shareing ❤️
@@Angela-by7qb I really doesn't have to be, there is a lot of bad advice online, some is well meaning some is just trying to sell you something. Dr Berry above has a keto 101 video if you search his channel and it gives you a nice easy rundown of how to do it. Basically if you stick to meat, dairy, eggs, above ground vegetables, herbs and spices (as long as they have no sugar added) and low carbohydrate fruit (such as berries and avocado) you can't go wrong. If you really need a treat, 70%+ dark chocolate is fine (you may find that doesn't taste sweet now, but once you've been keto for a while it tastes very sweet. If you start looking for all the keto treats, or trying to add huge amounts of fat, or worry about too much protein, or needing to measure this that or the other with expensive strips etc you'll go crazy but non of that is necessary. Also don't feel you have to do it all at once. I started by just making my breakfast keto, when I got used to that and had figured out a few options that worked for me and it had become a habit, I also made my morning snack keto, then lunch etc until I was following an entirely ketogenic diet. It took me about 3 months to become fully keto but by the time I got there it felt normal, it wasn't difficult to follow as I'd done it little by little. I also avoided any side effects that way. It's definitely worth the effort though.
A sufferer of fibromyalgia, I noticed today I ate a good sized piece of pizza and immediately felt a huge weakness all over my body. I told my sister right away that I think it was the gluten / dough
A surgeon did a study on patients with cervical spondylitis and fibromyalgia. He had these patients undergo a MRI with a pillow under the patients shoulders, allowing the head to arch backwards. The imaging showed impingement involving the spinal cord. These patients had reported that their fibromyalgia symptoms were worse when they arched their neck. They all under went decompression of the cervical spine, their fibromyalgia symptoms ceased. In his paper on this study, the surgeon advised patients undergo MRI with their neck arched if they had fibromyalgia symptoms, as impingement could be the cause of their fibromyalgia.
Thank you for talking about this Doc!! Unbelievable.. This is nothing but CRIMINAL!!! You are a godsend for making this this information publicly accessible! 🙏
YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY CORRECT!!!! 👌👌 I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia many years ago and it was so bad that I was on very heavy medication to control symptoms. Well I also had other symptoms that the doctor just scratched his head and I went to see another doctor, one just like you.... More educated in the field of health rather than just writing a prescription👍. He said he wanted me to do a candida cleanse for 30 days, NOT eating carbs or sugar. I did just that and OMG can I just tell you the whole world opened up to me. My fibromyalgia totally disappeared as well as depression, anxiety, and a whole host of other symptoms. I no longer needed any kind of medication and no longer had pain. So yes! Them blood sugars will mess you up good. Naturally I didn't stay on that diet forever and with much regret. However, I go back to it often and now I'm just doing carnivore. That being said I've never needed hardcore pain meds since that diet. I keep things in check and take loads of oregano because that seriously keeps fibromyalgia in check and has for me for many years. Love your videos👍😊
Very interesting! Ever since I started following a mostly Keto lifestyle, my inflammation and pain have been dramatically reduced. This definitely includes rarely consuming starchy carbohydrates, processed foods or sugary options. This concept sounds like it has great merit with regards to beating Fibromyalgia once and for all.
If you ever want to do the deep dive into why, check out butyrate, a byproduct of good gut bugs, that has a role in immune signaling all up and down the digestive tract. It's kind of wild.
Good work and keep it up! Also gradually introduce strength training a few times a week, ease into some basic squats and knee pushups, etc. Don't overdo it but gradually keep challenging yourself over the coming years to get *STRONG*. Food & beverage changes alone is only half as effective
I'm from the U.K. I was diagnosed aged 21. Now 47. It was 2/3 years ago, the DWP believed me. I have been living with it by myself. & was 1 of the first diagnosed with it. Thank you KenBerryMD for putting this up. I have shared it with others I know. & I know they will share it to.
I've been doing a combination of ketovore/ carnivore /IF for 4 months. I've been Weightlifting, walking, muscle strengthening exercises, and lost 25 lbs. I feel better than i have in years. I'm working on losing the last 25 lbs. My highest weight i was 300. This is my second disciplined journey on keto/ketovore, etc. Nothing is going to stop me this time.
I was diagnosed with fibro at 13 years old. I was an athlete, with a BMI around 12%. I find it hard to believe that at that point in my life I had insulin resistance. However, 20+ years later I could see that being the case now. Unfortunately, I also have chronic lymes disease. I loved reading the comments on this video, it gives me hope. I have been wanting to start dieting etc, this just pushes me to do it.
I heard it comes after severe physical and/or emotional trauma. That was true for me. But the trauma also made me self medicate with food, so it still went hand in hand. I hope you are much better today 🤍
Both fibro and lyme here also. Insulin of 5, and A1C of 5.3 for a long time. On the Paleo diet for years. NO improvement. Studied Naturopathy and have tried everything. There are some things that help a lot, like Mg, but I have not been cured by any means. Imo, curing the alpha-delta sleep disorder is key.
Young athletes rely on exercise to "burn off extra calories" so everyone justifies the stupid sugary sports drinks & potato chips/candy they consume often. Unfortunately that's far from how the body works. I'm sure I was insulin resistant from early on, and that's also something able to be inherited from Mom's indulgences in womb
Yep! I worked with those doctors. What they said in the back office about the patients was even worse. In their minds, it is all in women's heads. They even said we complain just to get attention
@@live_troublemaker You tell those types of people that it is in your head...just not the way they are saying. That you are well aware that pain signals are processed in the brain and that's when we become aware of the pain. I remember life before fibromyalgia & it was great. Medical professionals who deny that fibromyalgia is a truly painful disorder that isn't the sufferer's "imagination" need to pray that they won't be affected. I know if I was going to imagine something about myself it sure wouldn't be something painful! Maybe imagining I was younger, wealthier, or could eat whatever I want without dieting would be more up my alley. Lol
Stress response plays a huge part, but the docs are getting so shallow they just look things up on a computer and guess sometimes. Same with shallow uninterested teachers, govt workers, all kinds of professions are just out for their salary and not invested in their mission.
I completely agree ! have suffered significantly with Trigeminal Neuralgia after 3 years of agony, awfully debilitating pain and even worse side effects from carbamazepine topiramate & gabapentin prescriptions - None of which decreased my nerve pain & am off ALL of them now - I have found Keto and within the last 3 months my life is back! Please please share this info with anyone you know who has neuralgia
I have Trigeminal Neuralgia, and had Gamma knife surgery 2 years ago. It's back, and I'm back up to 2400mg of gabapentin. I'm doing keto, using pureed soup to get my nutrients, and will be drinking lots of bone broth. Good thing I've been drinking the BPC for awhile, because there are days that coffee or tea is all I can stomach. I can't even open my mouth now for more than a straw. 😩
You have true passion for your work. Its so refreshing to hear a Dr using their gifts to uplift people and empower them instead of draining their financial resources and offering little in return as so many Drs today have lost their humanity.
I started have fibro symptoms at a very young age. By the time I was 23 I was in horrible shape. I had never been overweight but had been on a low calorie, low fat, sugar filled diet my whole life. I was diagnosed and given Lyrica. The first 2-4 weeks on lyrica felt like a miracle! I thought I was better. I thought I could finally start living well. Nope........after that point the benefits began to wain and I gained 40lbs in one year on it. I was not binge eating. I was following my same dietary values as before even stricter in fact. I quit that mess. (Which was a whole other bear) So, I have been struggling with pain, chronic fatigue, anxiety, depression my whole life. People that were older than me continually told me I was too young to be feeling that bad so thus I wasn't. (😡) I started keto 2 weeks ago after fighting with my 40 lyrica pounds for a few years and my husband having many health complications of his own. (Fatty liver) I started feeling better in 2-3 days. 2 weeks in and I never want to see a carb again. I love carbs but no bread or pasta is worth feeling like that. I hope to be off of antidepressants in the near future now as well.
Fibro is caused by a candida yeast over growth in the digestive system. They live off sugar that is why keto removes the yeast food source. U need to take apple cider vinegar to aid in killing out the yeast. Add fermented vegetables like saurkraut to your diet. GL
@@bluesky7704I would def believe that as I had recurring yeast infections prior to keto. (Sorry for the tmi) I haven't had a one since starting. I do use ACV some but not every day.. I am a year in on keto now and have never felt better. I've lost 45lbs and I am in fact off all meds. I feel better mentally now with keto and no meds than I did with the meds. I have a normal iron level for the first time in my life and no anxiety attacks anymore. My husband has nearly reversed all of his health problems and we're both way better off because of Dr.B's advice. I have found that seed oils make me achy and sugar makes me tired and sluggish.
I put this basic equation together 18 months ago and tried to explain to to my mother in law. Unfortunately some don't want to be told, they don't want to do what is necessary and just want a pill.
This is exactly why people would rather stay sick because putting in the work to get better is difficult and to them why would they do that when they can just continue popping pills? It’s sad.
Had fibro 10 plus years. In 2012 I had a spinal fusion because my spinal cord was pinched off, and I couldn't use my lower body. A few months after the fusion I noticed I didn't seem to have fibro anymore. I titrated off my meds. 10 yrs now. So far so good. No one has had an explanation.
Thanks so much! I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 1995. It is a struggle! I do take metformin for pre-diabetes, but that has not helped my pain or fatigue. Have tried low carb off and on for weight loss, and now thanks to all of your videos, I am planning to start carnivore soon. Trying to find affordable meats now. Thank you so much for your help!!

I've suffered hell with fibromyalgia for 10 plus years. I am not overweight, have remarkable blood sugar tests so I'm told. I had a neck injury that may or may not have contributed to it over 10 years ago.
I can testify 🙋♀️💜 As long as I stay on track my fibro pain stays away! I tell friends and family who have it they should at least try keto but they don't believe me.
They would rather not know. I tried to get my mother to swim a little, take vitamin C and use a hot tub. Even that little change was too much. I get very little support re keto diet. I'm just doing what I can. Wheat and sugar are murder for me.
Yes, and many of us hold stocks in such companies, getting significant parts of our retirement income, yet by doing so we have no good way to elevate our personal ethics to the corporate paradigm... and too many of us look the other way. Me included until I just was too fed up with the corruption of the corporate systems that have deficient ethics, and do nothing to account adequately for costs they externalize onto other living breathing people in the public in the blind rush of greed to take false profit before public health. IMHO

Ive had it for over 20 years and still dealing with it on daily basis. I was on a STRICT gestational diabetes diet due to maternal age and I never ate any sugar or carbs. I followed it religiously because of my child inside. My fibromyalgia never got better! So ive tested this out and it didnt affect my pain level!

A few years ago I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. My doctor at the time told me she firmly believed it was caused by my high blood sugars. She seemed to be on to something. I was a type 2 diabetic with a1c ranging from 10-13. I was on metformin already. I recently had gastric bypass. I'm off insulin and metformin. I follow a low carb diet now. My fibromyalgia is much better now.
Great information. Thanks I have had this for 25+ yrs. I have refused all pain medications because of the side effects they may cause and any harm to my organs. Quitting sugar and going low carb has really helped. Thanks for all the good advice.
I have fibromyalgia for over 25 years . For the past 2 months I have been eating just red meat 🍖 following the Carnivore diet and I am having less pain, brain fog has lifted it's like I finally woke and feel so happy and positive .😃
I was seeing an elderly neurologist who decided I was suffering from cerebral palsy although I had a normal childhood with no physical disability.( I had previously been seen by a rheumatologist who did diagnose fibromyalgia.) The elderly:"old school" neuro doc maintained that "fibromyalgia" was just a catchall term for "I dont know why you ache all the time". I know people who are diabetic who have NO "fibro myalgia" issues. I also know people who have fibromyalgia who have normal blood sugars and normal a1c.
There is still currently several doctors in local hospitals that think and have essentially said so that fibromyalgia is just neurological mental disorder since pain is hard to impossible to test and prove person feels pain. Thankfully i was able to get to specialist on young age, not that it has done much, but least i understand per say what is causing this. Now that there is this study even if retracted its least indication to what is causing all this.
This is Mary on Richard's phone in Florida. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 1980 and was told that it was due to unrelenting stress and also possibly because my mother also was juvenile diabetic and had rheumatoid arthritis very badly. I saw a couple who are chiropractors who did allergy testing on me and sensitivity using the muscle testing procedure I eliminated all the foods I was sensitive to as well as they told me to go low carb I was doing fabulous until my husband took ill and I started hitting the ice cream tub and it triggered everything I finally licked that addition and I started out with intermittent fasting and have lost 65 lb also not going out and eating out three times a day with my husband helped tremendously so right after he passed away in 2017 I quit eating processed food and intermittent fasting now the pounds are coming off I've gone from 213 to now 147. I have tried keto a full few times and I keep getting sick and it's not keto flu my sodium level drops even though I am in taking at every opportunity I was just diagnosed with hashimoto's so I'm about to begin that war.
If you get the benefits you're after with low processed food (which will be much lower carb than a standard diet) and then intermittent fasting then that's great, there is no need to go keto if that makes things difficult for you. It's about getting the best outcome for you. Good look sorting your hashimoto's.
Electrolytes daily Salt Potassium (eat plenty of fibrous, esp leafy, vegetables) Magnesium capsules (NOT oxide) at bedtime Salt ur water, salt ur food liberally NuSalt or NoSalt from grocery store for potassium
Hashimoto's causes low sodium. In fact it's the low sodium that can kill you if Hashimoto's is not treated. My mother died from hypothyroid hyponatremia coma. Once you're treated try keto or carnivore again. Make sure your doctor also monitors free T3 not just TSH.
this makes total sense Dr. Berry! I also listened to your video on low thyroid as a possible cause as well. I started taking iodine supplement 2X a day, I take Keto Chow Magnesium which made a HUGE difference in the severity of my fibro , which I have never been on meds for. I am just not a fan of prescription meds for ailments. I am also attempting to stay on the Keto diet which I did 3 years ago with great success and my fibro was non existent for 3 years until recently when I started to SAD way of eating again. Thank you so much for your willingness to help us all. You are a God send! Blessings
My mother has fibromyalgia. She has been taking Magnesium supplements and that alone has resolved 80% of all her symptoms. It all started when she was in agony and was complaining of having a) No energy. b) muscle pain. c) mental fog and being stuck in bed. To me, being young and in sports at the time, it sounded like her muscles were not either healing or getting the nutrients to perform, and that is why they were hurting. We all were eating the same foods, so I knew she should have had plenty of vitamins and proteins to help her muscles. So I did a bit of research on what vitamins / supplements were the best at a) supporting muscles getting the nutrients they need and b) helping muscles heal c) help product energy. Magnesium tackled two of those. At first she didn't think it would help, but I chastised her that she needed to try for a while so that the nutrient levels would have time to build up in here body and in her muscles. Sure enough, she quit hurting so much and became more and more active and returning to her work ethic and hobbies, but she still didnt have all the energy. She takes CoQ10 and Vitamin D and that seems to do the trick. I'd say she's at 95% recovery. If she neglects her supplements or over does it, it will set her back a day (which is normal at her age I think anyways), but certainly not weeks on end being bed ridden anymore.
I’m glad to see this. I’m doing healthy keto, IF, and a ton of supplements. Magnesium, Potassium, COQ10, NAC, Vit D, K1 MK7, zinc, benfotamine B1, tocotreinol Vit E. I’ve had a lot of improvement. Plus physical therapy.
Thank you dearly Doctor. I have type 2 diabetes and know it is due to a high carbohydrate diet in childhood and early adulthood. You are a true doctor in the sense of the word.
Interesting. Side note because you mentioned magnesium depletion. Back in the 80's I ran across some data that implied that low magnesium was a better indicator of the severity of heart attacks than potassium imbalance. The summation didn't suggest stopping routine testing for the usual electrolytes and enzymes, rather that magnesium levels should be added to routine cardiac bloodwork. Nothing ever showed up in the literature after that, though, not even any data that proved the opposite. It just seemed to "disappear" from consideration.
I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and cfs, tmj and depression. My symptoms can be very debilitating and the pain is horrific at times. Thank you for your research, info and advice 🙏 I will look into this
@ Jillian Martin if their is one and only one piece of advice I could give you PLEASE ask your Dr. to check your vitamin D levels, so so very important and that alone can make you feel a bit better if not alot better, if you are low and work on raising your vitamin D levels! I know this as I learned this the hard way.
@@allison471 I'm trying Vit D now. Can't find anyone with a recommendation dosage. I've been low carb, low sugar all my life, I'm usually underweight. The diabetic thing does not add up here.
Thanks for sharing the research. As of last week, I'm off my fibromyalgia meds. I realized I'd been on them for years and all they were treating was the pain. I started to wonder why I was on medication if it wasn't treating the problem, just the symptom. I'd had such good results with Ketovore in regard to my RA that I felt ready to make the jump. So far, so good!

Doing tons of detoxification completely removed fibro symptoms for me- infrared sauna, colonics, coffee enemas, liver cleanse, oral chelation, etc... Fibro is caused by inflammation & sometimes toxins are the cause of that but keto/carnivore diet can definitely make symptoms enough to feel well enough to detox
After 25 years of suffering with Fibromyalgia I discovered last year that my pain was so much less eating Keto. Wish I had known sooner. What a waste of years of my life.
Back in about 1982 I lost a good deal of weight on what was then Atkins, Low Carb. Early 90s, I remarried, had another child, and gained back weight and got to a max weight of 252. I went back on what I knew for me, worked and went back to low carb, eventually losing over 100 lbs. However in between I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. I had no idea at that time, as to a connection between carbs and Fibro but it makes so much sense. Getting remarried and pregnant also changed my lifestyle to the point that I was making meals for the family based on their preferences and of course that included potatoes, veggies, macaroni, pastas etc. After losing the weight, as my family grew up and my then husband walked out (it seemed my weight loss caused unexpected jealousy and insecurity for him, rather that appreciation) I have gone back to eating low to no carb meals. I haven't had a Fibro Flare now in years. I think I now know why...
UK bans it which is why I was born away when I came to America in mid 2000's and all I could see advertised was drugs. It was so alien to me but you guys have been brainwashed
What in the world are you talking about. What about the food industry? That’s where you have to start. The food is the cure and the food is also the poison.
Ha! Well, this is an interesting coincidence. Since adopting a modified Keto diet (low carb) my wife has noticed that her Fibro symptoms are less and when she eats too much sugar, it's worse. Magnesium is also helpful, many people have said such and she finds it helps and it keeps her regular, which is harder as you age, especially for women. Studies show they not only digest slower than men, but get constipated more often too. Fibro also seems to affect women more than men too. So get your mag. ladies and make sure you get enough water, as that's how mag keeps you regular, by drawing water into the intestines. Hence milk of magnesia, as a laxative. Epsom salt baths are great for Fibro pain for the same reason, magnesium sulfate. This has been a common thing discussed in Fibro forums and they all agree, including her, that mag. supplementation, is a game changer. And it helps your bones and more, so......And oh, fun fact it is now proven that magnesium is protective against lung Cancer.
I’ve had undiagnosed fibromyalgia & PTSD for over 25 years. Unexplained Chronic pain, anxiety, fatigue, migraines, IBS, bladder issues. Ive suffered physical trauma & emotional trauma so I do a lot of mindset work which helps heaps. I’ve seen a chiropractor which helped reduce some of my pain. Aside from that I drink plenty water (I aim for a gallon most days), I try to keep stress at bay, have more balance in my life, rest when need to & i’ve just started a carnivore diet (not super strict) & dropped 10kg in a week. I think we tend to reach for carbs as our body craves this because of the pain & fatigue we are battling. I only take meds when I have a flare up. I will ask my doctor re insulin thank you 🙏🏻
I was diagnosed with it soon after I was prescribed what I call “head meds”. When I took myself off these horrible drugs after several years, all symptoms of fibromyalgia absolutely disappeared! There most certainly is a correlation!
Dear doctor, I discovered your channel during the plandemic. I have to thank you and others like you for doing an amazing job in enlightened us. I also want to share my findings in the hope of helping others, too. I discovered autophagy. I started doing 24, 48, 72 hour and saw immense benefits. If you're willing to try new solutions, I would encourage you to consult with an osteopath and find a Hellerwork practitioner. I have had excellent success with both. An osteopath can find things that a Chiropractor can't and the Hellerwork practitioner will release your fascia which may be the cause of your pain.

My balance is so much better and the pain in my body is gone.
r-alpha lipoic acid has been a life saver for my neuropathy.
I had desperate pains and shocks all the way up my thighs. Nothing worked. Then white iodine , full dropper in water , 10 day challenge. Day 4 shockes decreased 30%. By day 10 pain to zero.

So often doctors just treat symptoms and not the cause, and as they turn away from the fundamentals of the human experience when it can’t be explained through science, they stop themselves from treating the cause of the symptoms.
I used to think holistic medicine wasn’t worth my time, but once I realised conventional means were harming more than helping, I began looking into it more.
Not ashamed to say, it’s helped me and my partner both far more in the last year than anything a doctor has done for me in the last 10 years.

You're so right! Damn shame my mother doesn't listen to me. Well it's not like i didn't try
Don't worry. The UN is going to define the correct diet for all humans on the planet this year. It is already decided this is a plant based, high carb, high omega-6 / seed oil diet. Meat is this year's "global crisis" and it will be soft-banned as of now, then probably banned altogether in a few years. Watch Nina Teicholz' video on this. Quite interesting.

Most Drs I've seen try to tell me Depression caused my physical pain when I knew the pain caused the depression. I quit taking their antidepressants which caused more depression. I eat healthy try to exercise carefully & feel so much better. The depression was due to tragedies which is normal & it's dangerous that most Doctors drug you & don't give a crap the damage they do to your health & life!!! 1 Dr gave me a drug for Fibromyalgia & it paralyzed my arm for days, then my neck, it was terrifying!!! READ THE FINE PRINT OF PHARMACEUTICAL DRUGS/POISON! I asked Drs WHY they gave me drugs that have horrible side effects without explaining those risks, they get angry & say well we believe the benefits outweigh the risks. WHY is that THEIR decision & not OURS???? Ridiculous what they get away with! Thank you!!!! God bless you and all HONEST Doctors.

I was diagnosed with fibro and cfs. Turned out i had chronic lyme disease. I have 2 strains of borrelia so i was infected twice but never diagnosed. It has destroyed my life. Medical neglect is real and ruins lives
I have a slipped L5 disc, but I'm also having carpal tunnel pain, thumb joint pain, and chronic middle to upper back pain wrapping around to the sides of the rib cage.
I had blood work done to check for Lyme disease. I was told that I was negative for Lyme disease, but that antibodies show that I had a tick born illness, so I suppose I could have some kind of auto immune disorder. I was almost hoping for a positive test result for Lyme, because it would explain why I'm having chronic pain. It could be MS, fibromyalgia, or some type of auto-immune disorder.
It sure is and their is no accountability 😢

Intermittent fasting and low carb diet has significantly improved my fb symptoms. I feel like a whole new person.
Strangely I have very low cortisol which contribute drastically to my pain ect

Dr Berry, I respect you a great deal. I’ve had all the tests for a1c and fasting glucose, etc(many more tests over the yrs too, never been pre diabetic). Wish it was as simple as changing my diet for me. I am a patient at UNC Chapel Hill and see Rheumatology and Neurology. Keto and even carnivore did not “cure” me. I have done all the supplements for over 2 yrs now. I’ve followed your advice since 2017, and listen to you and Neisha too.
Keep searching, never give up and keep going.
The answers are out there and within your body.
The longest 72 hour fasts also play a big role in reversing fibro. Did you only do keto/ carnivore or are you also doing IF? Try playing around with a 72 hour fast and see what effect that has for you. This is a long and arduous battle, but you will prevail. Don't give up!
Same here..and now it's in my legs

I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia many years ago and it was so bad that I was on very heavy medication to control symptoms.

Both fibro and lyme here also. Insulin of 5, and A1C of 5.3 for a long time. On the Paleo diet for years. NO improvement. Studied Naturopathy and have tried everything.
Dr. Berg recommends Olive leaf extract for fibro, supposed to be very effective plus cardio benefits.
Fibro is caused by a candida yeast over growth in the digestive system. They live off sugar that is why keto removes the yeast food source. U need to take apple cider vinegar to aid in killing out the yeast. Add fermented vegetables like saurkraut to your diet. GL

@@allison471 I've done turmeric to no avail but not Bowselli. I will try. I bought lotion with capscian in it for my arthritis in my lower back. I will never do prescription again. They did more harm than good
A few years ago I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia.
Did you remove sugars ? Packaged foods? All keto no greens or fruits? I know meat lower Inflammation
I just shared this with someone I know that has fibromyalgia - THANKS!!!👍👍💖
Great information. Thanks
I have had this for 25+ yrs.
I found it was wheat consumption and low iodine. Give that a try, along with magnesium supplements.
If you get the benefits you're after with low processed food (which will be much lower carb than a standard diet) and then intermittent fasting then that's great, there is no need to go keto if that makes things difficult for you. It's about getting the best outcome for you. Good look sorting your hashimoto's.
Electrolytes daily
Salt
Potassium (eat plenty of fibrous, esp leafy, vegetables)
Magnesium capsules (NOT oxide) at bedtime
Salt ur water, salt ur food liberally
NuSalt or NoSalt from grocery store for potassium
Please watch Dr Berg on TH-cam. He explains key and IF thoroughly and in layman’s terms. Don’t give up on keto!!!
Did your mom ever take a fluroquinalone antibiotic like Cipro? So much of what you describe sounds like what I’m dealing with.
How old is she
I’m glad to see this. I’m doing healthy keto, IF, and a ton of supplements. Magnesium, Potassium, COQ10, NAC, Vit D, K1 MK7, zinc, benfotamine B1, tocotreinol Vit E. I’ve had a lot of improvement. Plus physical therapy.
What's her food intake ? How old is she?
Magnesium supplements didn't help
It will stop a stroke. It should be on all ambulances.
I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and cfs, tmj and depression. My symptoms can be very debilitating and the pain is horrific at times. Thank you for your research, info and advice 🙏 I will look into this
Try the Wim Hof Method. Cured my son of similar symptoms
I'm so sorry you go through this Jillian. I know all too well your suffering.
@@brrjohnson8131 have you had your vitamin D levels checked recently?
Hi I went Pescatarian 3years ago and I'm on Toprimate for the chronic migraines. It has helped a great deal.
Please don’t let anyone convince you that there isn’t a cure for fibro, fibro can be treated. I’ve seen about 7 patients including my stepmomma get cured so if you’ve been suffering from chronic pain and fibromyalgia, there is treatment that really works. Contact me if you need help..
Fibro IS inflammation
Any other tips?
Did you buy your own suana and if so,where did you get it?
Thank you for the feedback. What type of liver cleanse and oral chelation did you use? Also, how long did it take for you to experience relief?
@@AMTSA1 i have heard from other experts that it is not caused by inflammation..so many theories 😳
Unless, and until the U.S. stops allowing PHARMA to advertize directly to consumers there is no possibility of solving this problem.
Big Pharma are main sponsors of medical schools. Makes so much sense why most doctors don’t prescribe anything other than pills! Dr Berry excluded
UK bans it which is why I was born away when I came to America in mid 2000's and all I could see advertised was drugs. It was so alien to me but you guys have been brainwashed
What in the world are you talking about. What about the food industry? That’s where you have to start. The food is the cure and the food is also the poison.
God Bless You. Thank You for your great research. Thank You for sharing this with us. What a great Blessing
My wife and sister have fibromyalgia, they're completely hopeless and they're doctors have no idea what to do with them 🤷♂️
That’s because they (doctors) are married intimately to BIG PHARMA.
Share the video w/them
I'm with CFS.Hope we CAN get this😓 and hope this can help us. Good luck!!!
See "Crime of the Century" a 4-hour documentary about the opioid crisis [on HBO]. So much worse than we've been told.
Get their stress levels down
Not only I lost the belly fat , all my pains disappeared. I cleaned up my diet including stop being vegetarian. The fog is lifted. I have 2 red meat , I poultry, 3 legumes and I day of fasting. The use of oregano oil drop in my water, apple cider helped my craving. Getting regular blood test to check my vitamin level and top them up accordingly.
Thanks
