My TAC/3D arrow is the RIP XV 350 spine with Bohning X3 vanes (3 fletch), standard 50 grain insert with 100 grn field tips. TAW = 346 grains. It's a rocket at 295 fps. Shooting a Mathews Lift 29.5 w/ 60# pull and 28.5" draw; Ultraview scope. My hunting arrow will be the RIP TKO 350 spine with Bohning X3 vanes, 75 grain outsert, and broadhead (yet to be decided).
Yup to 3 fletch, yup to Arizona EZ fletch. Yup to TAC vanes.
Lol same exact arrows I built but used Josh Jones titanium half out inserts.
Sick arrows!!
Because of the high helical I used the TAC 2.0 vanes.
Didnt want anything to big.
Awesome!!! we have been very happy with them so far.
I agree.
Podium Archery has the titanium half inserts.
Im running those and they are amazing.
With Sevr field points
We have been experimenting with the Sevrs a bit. They seem pretty solid so far.
Arizona essay flech is around 60.00
I’ve been wondering how good these would be with the new Easton match grade collars (if they fit) and the 75 grain brass hit inserts.
RIPs absolutely come in 250 spine
Good luck getting those tac vanes to stick good.
I’ve never had any issues with the tac vanes as long as you prime it
The primer pen and scuffing the surface are a must with AAE and TAC vanes. If you do that you can hardly get them off.
Yea I use aae and never have any issues. Me and several friends do not have any luck with tack vanes. I been fletching my own arrows for 31 years and this is the only vane that gives me problems
@@kevintabor6586I do a lot of vanes for my testing, and TAC vanes require prep. But I go overkill on everything so the only time any vane falls off is when I screw up.
Clean shaft with alcohol, clean vanes with acetone, apply primer, use a thin glue and hold at high pressure for several seconds. I did this with every vane I use long before I bought a pack of TAC vanes.
The only thing should be stronger than the standard Ethics components is the Sirius half jackets, also made by Ethics. Haven't broken either yet.
I run the TAC Summit vanes in a 4 fletch. I get more lift for the weight.
We couldn't be happier with them they are awesome components.
Sounds like a solid set up. All this arrow building and shooting has us ready for fall. Good luck this year!
How much is your total arrow weight with this build.
We forgot to throw them on the scale. We will weigh them today and get back to you.
@@gritarchery thanks
@@michaelhines4122 28” arrow weighed in at 460 grains
@@gritarchery heck yeah that’s perfect. How do they hood up on animals pretty tuff?
Extremely, they've held up to everything we've put them through so far.
I wanna go fast
You know it Ricky Bobby
