This is the first song that left my lips after I received the call that my younger sister had died. I envision her at the feet of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, learning from them, being healed by them and being encompassed in their arms of love and protection!
@glass half full i send you my deepest condolences on the sad loss of your little sister - as a sister myself who buried one of my baby brothers when i was nine i absolutely empathise
Just lost my little brother in a car accident this morning. Someone posted on facebook, "God be with you til we meet again" and now I'm here. I can always count on our Gospel for comfort in knowing Families are Forever!!! Thank you for sharing this clip. I needed it. xo
Just found out today that my first cousin Mike Tehi died a few months ago. He was such a good man. He is now with my father, his favorite uncle, to whom he bears a striking resemblance. I know that Mike is with all his family and the Lord. He was 77 and suffering from Alzheimer's.
My sincerest condolences ❤ ❤❤ I came here tonight because we lost a family member tonight... this song was the 1st Melody and words I could respond with after she took her last breath. Tonight I've listened to this from a whole new perspective... as if the one who has passed on is reminding these words of comfort to the loved ones who mourn... she's in a perfect place...
My mother passed away in 2007 and this is the song my mother's big sister sang for her at her funeral service 😢😢 God has blessed all those whom have passed on for they no longer share in the sufferings of this world but wait on the Lord for the resurrection unto the glory of God's eternal reward. Amen
I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints for 30 years now, i am so glad i became a member , and this is one of my favorite Hymns , hope to see my parents , grandparents and aunties and uncles again ( and cousins) , this song gives me always reassurance that i will !!!
I can remember singing this song in church when I accepted Jesus as my savior again. He has stayed with me from that day on and I believe he is the son of god that died for my sins and rose again. I’m ready to come home whenever you want me.
After delivering my sister's eulogy at her funeral, I was going to play as we were walking her casket out of the church for her final journey to God. I miss her very much!
I was 8 years old, and it was 1960. My Dad was the pastor of a tiny country church. We were moving to a larger church, and this was the closing hymn of the last service. I started to cry because I looked around the sanctuary, and there were many elderly people there. This was truly a goodbye. Many of the congregants died within a year, some through car accidents. Our lives fell apart when we moved to that next church, and we all regretted the move. Even though this became a song of tragedy to that 8 year old boy, it is a song of extraordinary hope in the knowledge that I will again see and enjoy all those beloved people again.
+srichdway I understand your feelings, I too get tears when I hear this song. I am Mormon and we sing this song at a lot of funerals, but the memory that hurts the most was when this song was sung to our family as our boat pulled out of the harbor in Hamburg Germany in 1951, we were leaving everything and everyone we loved and immigrating to America, I was 8.
My mother died 3rd of July so I will dedicate this song to her till we meet again.... Rest in peace my beautiful soul OKEKE BEATRICE AMECHI 🔥🔥🔥 💓 Sleep tight mummy much love for you
Condolences from England. When my mother died I kissed my hand and placed it on her forehead, as I had done for many years, and said "night, night, sleep tight". Your words brought tears to my eyes, but after all the years since then, they were happy tears.
This brings me to tears every time I hear it, I lost my son in 1994 and seems like yesterday . I know he’s with God , but my heart still breaks everyday . 😪
This song knows no Christian denomination boundaries; it is universal and speaks to the hope and knowledge of eternal life with Jesus Christ. I was a young boy in a German from Russia Congregational church when I first heard this sung at the conclusion of a special church gathering. For me, it is not just the ending, but the beginning of the journey!
I first heard this song in Virginia 1956. The Christians I met with most always sang this at the end of our meeting together, those were wonderful days. I always carried my Bible with me, every where I went.
I lost my mom to covid a month ago. I'm not sure if we will meet again. Unfortunately I don't think so. But would be so great if we can meet again someday. Mom I miss you and I love you, beyond the sun amd the stars.
Although I am not LDS I love the choir! They fill my heart with GODS LOVE! SOMETIMES I WISH I COULD HEAR THE WORDS MORE CLEARLY! I LOVE THIS SONG! GOD BE WITH YOU!
For those who died this 2020 because of pandemic and because of some disease those who have a good heart RIP til we meet again. Sending prayers for everyone
This really should be nominated for a You Tube Award. Not only is it moving, but it is filmed well, and the sound is good. I know it's not funny or anything like that, but it really is a good You Tube.
I am 44 years old and I recently lost my mother. I have had my battles and struggles in life, but losing my mother has been a shock to me. I find a great deal of faith and solace in this beautiful song of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
I believe in Christ. I know He is my redeemer. He lives and hears my prayers. Answer in His perfect timing. Is always with me in difficult moments and His holy arm he restores my soul. Rest in Him because it's my company. I will not fear the circumstances, shadows or death. God, the Lord is with me.
+The Whisperer I am LDS and thank you for your positive comments. We don't all have to be religious to appreciate heavenly songs....greetings from Australia...
LDS believe every good thing comes from God. Mormon Tabernacle Choir was and is God's plan for the benefit of all his children including all religious denomination, kindred and tongues.
This song is so dear to my heart. At my grandmothers funeral, I conducted this song while my mother played the piano. Every time we hear it we both can't help but cry, of sadness and of joy. When I hear the choir sing the song the spirit firmly testifies to me; we will all see our families again some day.
May God bless and hold you and your family in his loving arms during this time of sorrow. I lost a brother a year ago and I know the pain....but trust in Jesus for he is with you.
May all souls who have returned before us, rest from all their earthly cares, and WE, live in the peace and love that we will certainly meet again at the Saviour's feet. I can feel the Spirit of God everytime I hear this song
Who can deny that Christ lives and that he is our redeemer when you hear magical angelic music like this? The waves of the spirit and loved ones come flushing through me as I hear these songs x
One wouldn't think that tears can be wonderful, but these are tears of joy when hearing this performance, and as someone else implied, --- homesickness for the past, as well as the future. In my memory book to pass down: my favorite vocal group---the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Incomparable.
I remember when my mission president talk with me a day before that my mission was about to end tears falls and can't describe the feeling how much bless to serve with the Lord vineyard seeing the people whom you served and how you grow in the mission field from boy to man...
At first I hated this song because I was not ready to say goodbye to mom on her funeral, but today, listening to it "....till we meet again" gives me hope and assurance of seeing mom again
This is my favorite hymn and I know I will meet my grandparents again and I know I will finally meet my other grandparents and my older brother. God be with you tell we meet again
Beautiful music and lyrics: God be with you till we meet again; by his counsels guide, uphold you, with his sheep securely fold you; God be with you till we meet again. Till we meet, till we meet God be with you till we meet again. Till we meet, till we meet till we meet at Jesus' feet; till we meet, till we meet, God be with you till we meet again. God be with you till we meet again.
I've just shared some beautiful with my Grandchildren. Climb every Mountain by the Mormon Tabernacle choir. Followed by God be with You Till We Meet Again. Is probably the most up lifting Music I've ever heard. I've not been a member for about 30 years but this still reaches me. Amen.
This is for my mum who died in 1989 and I miss her still please lord keep her safe till I come to your heavenly kingdom to be with my family in Christ Zoe Wilson
Saw this beautiful choir at the Tabernacle in Salt Lake City with Morman friends and they sang this lovely hymn. Will never forget it. Ray Burgess Devon UK
I just lost my sweet dad, and it has been difficult to understand , very hard to cope with. But this gives me assurance that I will see him again and this time never to part again. I love and miss you dad❤️
My grandma just passed away.. This song was sung at my uncles death and I sat so close to her as a child not understanding grief, I never forgot. Now I feel and understand. Thank you Lord for inspiring the person to whom this hymn was given to, as to me, i hope,, this is given to many of Christs flllowers.
I personally prefer the 'Randolph' version. Cried every time we had to sing it on the last service before the summer holidays and the sixth formers were leaving. This has more of an up-beat hopeful tune, while the 'Randolph' is more of a sad good-bye.
this song as a child till now is still powerful to me I lost my faith after the passing of my dad and grandma and as I sit here at work I'm overcome with emotions it's still the same strong feeling it was when I was younger and still the reason I don't lose my faith just hard at time feeling your alone till u hear the love God has for all of us
I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope you get to spend every last precious moment with her. I recently lost my grandpa too and miss him so much. The choir has really helped me heal. God bless you and your family.
November 11, 1996. I sang this himn, and at the same time I shook a white handkerchief in the air, along with a 1000 brothers choir and thousands of saints in the Vélez Sarsfield stadium in Buenos Aires, to say goodbye to Pte. Hinckey after his visit. I can't remember the words he said. I only remember fire burning my heart and soul, inexpressible joy being poured out in my heart, and the words of the Spirit saying: "Behold the anointed of the Lord". I became a priest-disciple of Jesus Christ that day at the recent age of twelve.
The singing of the Tabernacle Choir is just beautiful and heavenly. My mom is in hospital waiting to go into a home for those with Alzheimers and it gives me comfort to listen to this as I suspect I may not see my mom again as Covid-19 has stopped me going to mainland UK from my home in Channel Islands.
heard thi s song at church but it was played by a band..so its my first time to hear the actual words...its very touching cous it was played at a funeral of one of Gods KNIGHT,IT VERY TOUCHY..MAKE ME CRY EVERY TIME I LISTEN TO IT
My wife and I love the beautiful, uplifting words of this hymn. Each morning, at the end of Morning Prayer, this is the closing hymn. From my rural town upbringing, God Be With You is the spiritual version of the song made famous by Roy Rogers and Dale Evans. Happy Trails!
This is the first song that left my lips after I received the call that my younger sister had died. I envision her at the feet of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, learning from them, being healed by them and being encompassed in their arms of love and protection!

I am taken away by the whole combination of the voices and orchestra not to mention the choir master's skills.
My deepest condolences. We will indeed meet again at the resurrection.

Till we meet again
After delivering my sister's eulogy at her funeral, I was going to play as we were walking her casket out of the church for her final journey to God. I miss her very much!
I was 8 years old, and it was 1960. My Dad was the pastor of a tiny country church. We were moving to a larger church, and this was the closing hymn of the last service. Till we meet, till we meet

I grew up in the Church, did my time in the England London Mission, now I am an atheist, but damn I got to say lots of good memories with this Hymn.
I dedicate this to my parents, grandparents and beloved brother who have all been gone too soon.

still mis my beloved mom..... till we meet again in Jesus's feet
There are no words to describe how I feel when I listen to this. Too much emotion involved.
I personally prefer the 'Randolph' version. Cried every time we had to sing it on the last service before the summer holidays and the sixth formers were leaving. This has more of an up-beat hopeful tune, while the 'Randolph' is more of a sad good-bye.

Till we meet again my precious husband!
So sorry that a precious part of you is gone, for now. Maybe he has gone ahead to prepare the way for his amazing partner and Queen....
When I came home from my mission a few months ago, I was sung this song as was our mission's tradition. One of my favorites.
People may not respect the LDS but this is a beautiful song that provokes the spirit and compels one to praise our savior
This is the last song I listen to on TH-cam every night.
wildirishrose01 that's a great habit to have. I think I will start doing that too.
Wow. That is brilliant. I will probably start doing that too.
Lovely. Takes me back to our little church in Tasmania all those years ago.
This song reminds of my uncle's funeral on the 8th April 2021. I cried so so much
I am welsk and I love my choirs, but this is superb.
The Mormon Tabernacle Choir was in fact founded by Welsh converts.
