Maybe the reason we get chills when we hear them is because they are not just singing a song, they are bearing their testimonies of the Savior, Jesus Christ.

When I was young I joined father Smith's choir to sing this beautiful song.Now I am already old.I Always feel proud everytime I listen to this song.Praise the Lord Jesus !
This IS THE BEST choir on earth!! No other choir sings like the Mormons. They deserve a standing ovation every single time!!!! And their orchestra ties in perfectly too!!!

I am amazed that the orchestra is not paid. In Canada (Toronto) the Mendelssohn is not paid, but the Toronto Symphony Orchestra is. My deepest respect and gratitude to these musicians for donating their professional skills and time to the Church. My heart felt prayers and thanks go out to you. I was a chorister for 31 years and sang the great "Messiah" many times during that time. I considered it a privilege to be able to sing that kind of music. I never took a dime for it, nor wanted to, and I know most chorister feel the same way.
It's all part of worship.
I immediately feel the Holy Spirit lighten my ❤️. I feel happy 😃 when I hear this. Every time.

I'm more atheistic but I'm hoping nowadays that there is something like that. Something divine to lead us back to better days. This song certainly describe something wonderful coming to the world peace and brotherhood.
That so many singers could coordinate their voices so exactly such that you hear each and every note of the trills and arpeggios is amazing and a tribute to the greatness of this choir.
This is choir music at its absolute best. Handel's best, perhaps, also.

Billy Graham came to our town on one of his revival tours. My mother sang with that Choir and later sang with our city's choir. I think I was 7 or so when Mother and the rest of the choir put on Handel's Messiah and Dad took me while Mom was up there singing.I thank God for my parents who loved me enough to show me the way to salvation..

The verses: Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The Prince of Peace are possibly the most awe inspiring part of all of Isaiah. I would like to personally thank Handel for setting them to such uplifting music. However, without a doubt, Isaiah is a man to remember! And, a bearer of Good News!
The lyrics are bestowing honors on Him of humble origin. Wonderful! Counselor! Prince of Peace. Everlasting Father. Greatness.
I love this Choir, they always make me reflect on what joy we should expect in the Celestial Heavens after we must have kept to the Covenants we made with our Father in Heaven! This is another wonderful way this choir proclaims the gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in whose church this choir comes from! What a wonderful privileged to always hear and watch them sing!
