I'm agnostic...but I swear...if there was ever anything that could make me convert to Christianity, it'd be liturgical music. I don't know what the presence of Christ, or god, or whatever, would feel like, but these musical pieces fill me with what I can only describe as awe. It's like seeing the grand canyon but with my ears.
Glad you like the music. We invite you to listen and feel the Spirit of God.

My mother passed away on August 14th, 2017 and was laid to rest on August 19th, 2017. When my dad and I were sitting down with the pastor, this is the only hymn I could think of. It's a beautiful song, unfortunately not being trained vocalists, we didn't really do the song justice. Of course when I hear this song it now makes me cry......miss you mom.

My Dad died this morning in Cebu, Philippines! He lived a great life, served the Lord to the best of his abilities especially as a Patriarch and a Sealer! I am so sad that I can't go to pay my last respects, yet the knowledge of the gospel truly helps my soul to calm down!
May he rest in peace as he await a joyous resurrection

I cried each time I encounter this hymn. I am a hymn person and this particular hymn is one of my favorite. We should all desire to be nearer to Jesus Christ. Halleluyah. This choir has a sound from heaven. I feel the spirit of God moving as I listen. Glory to God. I can't stop listen.

This brings me to a time when my maternal grandmother would sing this to me. As a little boy, frightened of storms at night, her voice and the words of this song would return peace to me. It also spoke of her faith in the Almighty and her dearest hope of the Resurrection. Even to this day when the storms of this existence assault me, I hear her singing this and I know the Presence of God once more. What can separate us from the love of God? Only ourselves.
What good comments listed. There are few words to convey the peace, talent and spirituality this group of musicians can bring to us. I am an LDS convert. I don't think of the Titanic but a little country church sitting among the beautiful hills of Ohio. I can still see the trees out the windows and feel the ages pass. What a composer. What a conductor. And what heavenly voices. God is good.
In this time of world wide trials and tribulations, THIS is what keeps my spirits high, gives me hope, joy, and a profound sense of calm knowing that the Saviour is watching over us all. Keeping ourselves centred on what matters most...our Lord! Helps us be at peace when this world is in turmoil. We steer our own boats but as long as we keep the Lord in our lives to navigate when the storms of life rock our vessels, we will be alright no matter what happens.

The Mormon Tabernacle Choir is the greatest and most spiritual choir con al Earth. They are inspired by God and they make us feel the Holy Spirit in a very good way.
I image Heaven's choir to be like this but with billions more people singing and. with beautiful sounds yet unheard. Perhaps we'll all have beautiful voices and we'll all be dingo,g.

Several years ago I had the honor to attend a rehearsal at the Tabernacle in Salt Lake City. A moving experience reminding me of the joys of loving Christ. As one who plays a French Horn, the Horn parts in this piece are simply fantastic! God bless!

yes the band onboard the titanic played this song as they were sinking. my mother talked about it and sang the song that was written about the disaster. it is a most beautiful song.

+Brandon Suess and all, this hymn was a favorite of my great-grandmother. It was played as prelude/processional at her funeral. Every time I hear this hymn, I can't help remembering wheeling her casket into the chapel as the organist played this beautiful hymn (I was a pall bearer). That was more than 30 years ago.

This is a gift of God: to experience the sacred amidst the commonplace - to taste heaven in our daily bread, a new heaven and a new earth in a mouthful of water, joy in the ache of our muscle or the sweat of our brows.
I love this song, it gives me the chills . When my aunt and cousin passed we sang this song at church and it reminds me of them. Every time to listen to the Tabernacle choir I get a feeling I am in heaven.

It the myth or perhaps the endearing legend that this piece was played on the deck of the Titanic as it was sinking over 100 years ago. Deeply moving and touching as as the bugler makes that last call for us this is perhaps a very fitting piece as we prepare for our journey from our physical life and prepare for the next. As our whole live is laid out before us we put our whole being and living soul into the hands of the Creator and Eternal one. He who hold the balance and the everlasting book of life, which was known about by those that chose to follow the way of the giver of all life. - May God have mercy on all of us and our current lives and give us the strength to be ready and be prepared for the next!

I love listening to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and often the music is so beautiful and my heart is so full, I cry. I sing in our ward choir and wish I was as good as the Tabernacle singers. I never grow tired of listening to them and would love to go to Salt Lake to see them in reality
