The jews deserved a country in their religious and historical homeland. All the Muslim colonial powers ( ottmans, mamluks, egeptians, arabs ext) persecuted the jews in Palestine for hundred of years. Therefore The creation of a jewish state was an act of justice. Palestinians recieved jordon. It was natural that some Palestinians had to relocate to the new nation state. Same as 1 million Jews from Middle East countries eventually had to relocate to israel.

Great twist to the question, gave a beautiful video. I will never stop dreaming of a world where there is peace in this land. This little clip is one small proof that the obvious way forward is what seems impossible now, the two-state solution. From there, the two groups can approach each other and, step by step, build trust between normal people on both sides.
I would make the Palestinian leadership to go the Knesset and inform the Israeli people that they want to live in peace, along side of Israel. I would also make the Israeli leadership reciprocate in front of the Palestinian parliament. Both sides would outline steps to be taken to increase confidence in each others intentions such as updating their education systems. That would start the ball rolling in the right direction.
There can't be two drivers at the wheel. There can only be one person calling the shots and I think it should be the Palestinians. They never asked for Britian to bring the Israelis and take over the country. What was taken by force will be returned back eventually. A return to former glory days is the solution that I am proposing.

You are missing a fundamental reality. The state of israel sits on land taken via ethnic cleansing and in addition to that, the Israelis have been abusing their victims ever since. Great program. Thank you. Honest, instant reactions, some with deep thought, some just open impulse responses, from people on streets of Israel. Amazing and powerful to hear - so DIFFERENT from the acts of the government and military of Israel. A follow-up question could be something like this, "Yes, your solution ideas are good and reasonable. Do you know that the government and military of Israel do not allow for equal respect and equal rights for Palestinians? Or maybe, have you contacted the person you elected to Knesset to ask for granting Palestinians equal rights? Or to buy land? Or to travel as freely as Israelis do? And same basic questions for Palestinians and other non-Jews you speak to.
1. The military is made out of regular people. Everyone capable is expected to serve. 2. Palestinians don't have equal rights as Israelis because they're not under the same authority. Israelis are under the Israeli government and Palestinians are under the Palestinian Authority (and Hamas in Gaza, but not for long). It's like asking for Americans to be given equal right to Mexicans in Mexico. They're not citizens of the land, so they don't have the same rights. 3. I long for a day that we can all enjoy this land together, but that day will only come when Palestinians acknowledge that we are also indigenous to this land (even more than they are, since this is where Judaism started and the Jewish people became a nation 4000 years ago, and on the other hand most Palestinians came from other Muslim lands in the area around the time jews returned from the diasporas) and deserve to live here just as much as they do. They need to renounce violence and agree to work with us, not against us, for a brighter future for both sides.

5:09 im really intrigued with this lady’s answer, prob the most unique response ive heard so far on this channel - does she mean that the war is more to do with some “spiritual/otherworldly” affairs? Not to say that I necessarily believe in those concepts, but her take is still quite awakening and something to think about.
It's a common Jewish view, that everything bad that happens to the Jews is because if "sin'at hinam" (unjustified hatred) among Jews. It is said that this is why the temples were destroyed (not because of the Babylonians\Romans)
This is a very basic explanation, but it relates to (and possibly stems from) the concept of Tikun Olam, which she briefly mentioned. It literally means “fixing/mending the world”: according to this belief Jews should be “light unto the nations” by being the most moral, compassionate and loving people, which is accomplished by observing the mitzvot (G-d’s commandments). When the Jewish people will treat each other right, then they will be a force that would fix the world around them, and thus lead to peace and prosperity. Since many Jews don’t observe the commandments, don’t “love their neighbors”, and aren’t in touch with the spiritual aspect of reality, then this has not yet come to pass. I think this is what she meant by that. It’s a very religious perspective of the conflict, insofar as the problem not being political, sociological or military, but rather spiritual and transcendental (or “high”, as she put it).
@@dbuc4671 More or less. It’s more “you can’t improve the world if the people can’t be what they’re meant to be, and that’s a responsibility that each individual of the people has upon themselves” - in Judaism, Jews are seen as one basic unit, with each individual having the freedom of choice to choose whether to do the right thing (in this case, observing G-d’s commandments) or not.
Palestinians were only there part of the time in history, thats why they deserve * part* of the land. Same for the jews. They were there part of the time and so they deserve * part * of the land. That is what is called justice for all. Split the land and learn to live as good neighbors 🙏

Palestinians that are being killed on daily bases are native to that land, they are the Jews that never left and whoever who converted to Christianity and Islam, those 3 groups of people lived there for thousands of years with hardly any issues till the certation of the Zionism, they the world stated to see these Eastern Europeans poring into the country and stealing it, killing thousands in the process.
The answer should be so simple. When everyone realizes that there is a god who created the world, he created every individual person, and he spoke to the Jewish people and gave the Torah, then everyone will know. They will know that the land is not just a generic land. כי מציון תצא תורה ודבר ה' מירושלים. Who has the Torah? The Jews. Who needs to spread it? The Jews? From where? Jerusalem.
There are 18 million Jews in the world, half of them are atheists. The remaining 8 Billion humans don't care about your Torah, the fact the you believe that your book and your God gives you the entitlement and you expect the rest of the world to believe that as well is concerning to say the least, the rest of the world don't see the issue as you do, and you better start understanding that.
Corey can you please reupload and fix the blurred face at 7:19? He moves his head and by doing so revealed himself because the blurring didn't follow him
The conflict is so intrinsic in their lives that is difficult to imagine the question. If G-d gave you the ultimate power to solve the conflict… the question is so elusive, so floating in a cloud and the conflict is so pervasive and personal to them for so long, that is quite difficult to imagine otherwise. I can say I would give them all the power to love each other no matter who they are, but the idea is very foreign and imaginary, knowing that it will never become a reality. Very difficult and complicated conflict.
Similar to what I said with the Palestinian version, this was pretty disappointing, and I am not surprised. I heard 3 good answers and some really bad answers towards the end. Again, this question is not for the normal joe off the street, so I can't blame anybody here. This conflict does not have an easy answer and should be understood as such.

All of those incidents - the 1948 war (Israel's Arab neighbors attacked the Jews in the largest massacre yet of a string beginning in 1929 Hebron), Gaza blockade (Hamas came to power and started shooting missiles), and the post-October 7 (October 7 massacre) war in Gaza - came about due to Palestinian terrorism, because they will not be satisfied until the Jews live as their dhimmi subjects again under another caliphate. Our *religion, language, culture, holidays, rituals, liturgy, history,* and even the words Jew and Jewish are all inseparable from *historical Judea* and our collective longing to *return to the Land of Israel.* The land of Israel is where Jews became *a people* and the *oldest monotheistic faith.* It is where Jews *achieved sovereignty* before losing it and regaining it several times until much of the *indigenous Jewish population* was either killed or forced into exile following the *Roman Empire’s* brutal suppression of the heroic *Jewish revolt* in the second century of the Common Era. Though the Romans subsequently *renamed the land* Syria Palaestina, the Jewish people *never left* our homeland physically or spiritually. *Archaeological evidence* of Jewish life can be found in more than *30,000 sites* in Israel with antiquities dating back centuries. Even when we were massacred and persecuted by Christian Crusaders, Arab and Ottoman *invaders,* the British-led Jordanian Arab Legion, or more recently Hamas suicide bombers and rockets, our attachment *never* wavered. It is in this same land where Jews miraculously *revitalized* the Hebrew language, *rebuilt* the institutions necessary for independence, *re-engaged* in rituals that are uniquely observed in the land of Israel, *redeveloped* the land and the economy so that by several magnitudes the Jewish and non-Jewish populations grew, and offered refuge not just to the remnant which survived the Holocaust, but also millions of Jews fleeing persecution from the Muslim Middle East, Ethiopia, and the former Soviet Union. Today, Israel is a *rich tapestry of diverse citizens,* including over half of Jewish Israelis who identify as Jews of color and 20% of whom are Arab citizens. *Peace Not Hate!* 🇮🇱🤍🩵
Harsh border restrictions. Nobody lives on either side or travels to either side that's unpermitted by either side and nobody goes back and forth. Basically segregation. For the safety of both groups of people. In an ideal world people would travel freely between both places with no issues but considering that's not what either group actually wants we do not live in an ideal world and the realistic approach is to strictly enforce immigration restrictions on both sides so there's no complaints of Israel settlements in Palestine and no terrorist behavior from Palestinians in Israel.

It's complicated, but el stands for God and i.s(sh).r. can be understood either as "shall rule" or "fighting". This name was given to Yaakov when by the angel whom Yaakov have fought. The angel told him "Not Yaakov would be said more your name, but Israel because you [sarita] - (have ruled, became great or have fought) with God, and with people you could" לֹא יַעֲקֹב יֵאָמֵר עוֹד שִׁמְךָ, כִּי אִם־יִשְׂרָאֵל, כִּי־שָׂרִיתָ עִם־אֱלֹהִים וְעִם־אֲנָשִׁים וַתּוּכָל Some people believe that isr means "straight" and explain the name as "Straight (before) God". Another explanation of Isr is man and Raa means to see, so it stands for "Man who sees God", meaning either "A man who witnessed God" or "God fearing man". As I said, it's complicated, but El most certainly means God, similarly to "Il" in Islam.
We live in a time of history where this group of people are in a position of power, and it's very clear that their leaders are doing everything they can to flex that power on the native Palestinians who have been colonized, occupied and oppressed in every way possible. And most of them are ok with it.
Your view of Palestine and palestinians is wrong. Many of them, their grand-parents didn't live in the area. This area used to be colonized by different empire and the last time it was a country with its own law and leaders, etc. was with the jews. With the roman empire, arabs, ottomans, british, a lot of migrations happenned. Arabs (palestinians) cannot claim to be more indegenous when a majority of them don't have an history of more than 150 years in this area. Jews migrated, but arabs to. Jews have all their history in this land (their religion, their nation identity, etc). Some arabs have a personal history, not has a nation, as a family, a clan. Both are legitimate. The only issue is that one party refuse the other one right to exist with it's own independance. If you think it's like british or french colonization you really didn't search and read a lot of history books. It's a lie that perpetuate violence and steal palestinians opportunity to live in peace and build their country.

The Jews have one state, why should they give it to the Palestinians who don’t seem to know how to govern and provide quality of life.
Wow, I can’t believe what you are saying. You think the people who want to murder the Jews should run the government when we see what they did with the government body’s they have.
@@sarahk93882 How are foreigners from Europe better at proving this better "quality of life"?

Actually I did not get it what she meant by that..
@@om1ri so basically that concept that goes like "you cannot improve the world if you cannot even improve yourself"?
@@dbuc4671 More or less. It’s more “you can’t improve the world if the people can’t be what they’re meant to be, and that’s a responsibility that each individual of the people has upon themselves” - in Judaism, Jews are seen as one basic unit, with each individual having the freedom of choice to choose whether to do the right thing (in this case, observing G-d’s commandments) or not.

@@shainazion4073 We use the world Palestinians to address the indigenous people of Palestine, Palestine the name itself is older than Israel the country, in fact all Jewish prior to 1948 held Palestinian passports, you need more education on top of the crap they feed in your brains, and before you say the word Israel is very old, we know that and it is the name of a prophet (Jacob, I think) and not a country.

The remaining 8 Billion humans don't care about your Torah, the fact the you believe that your book and your God gives you the entitlement and you expect the rest of the world to believe that as well is concerning to say the least, the rest of the world don't see the issue as you do, and you better start understanding that.

That's their prerogative, but they can just be honest about it rather than putting it off to "resistance against the European Zionists" victimhood nonsense. Most Israelis' ancestors at this point never even resided in Europe, and those who had were forced there from Judea under the Roman occupation.
"Everybody should just live in peace and be happy" - absolutely zero awareness or empathy for the ways the Israeli state makes it nearly impossible for Palestinians to live peaceful, happy lives.
I know what you mean. It's almost as though they think we want to be angry and live chaotic lives, with our kids being taken and killed. They don't care to see things from our perspective.

@@amitb.e.5244 My personal perspective on the conflict? Well, I would like peace under Arab rule. I don't want to kick out our Jewish neighbors (contrary to Israeli opinion). I want the needless restrictions and strange rules to be replaced with more freedom and normal, democratic rules. We are not all Jewish and should NOT be ruled by laws that reflect Jewish values. I would think that this is what most Palestinians would think, but I can't speak for all Palestinians. I can only speak for myself as a Palestinian.

The Jewish people are *indigenous* to Judea - Land of Israel. 🕎🙌
After over 2 millennia of forced exile, persecution, and genocide, the *(re)establishment* of *Jewish sovereignty* in our *ancestral homeland* is a remarkable story of *national liberation.* Jewish claims to the land are far more than biblical accounts. Our *religion, language, culture, holidays, rituals, liturgy, history,* and even the words Jew and Jewish are all inseparable from *historical Judea* and our collective longing to *return to the Land of Israel.*
The land of Israel is where Jews became *a people* and the *oldest monotheistic faith.* It is where Jews *achieved sovereignty* before losing it and regaining it several times until much of the *indigenous Jewish population* was either killed or forced into exile following the *Roman Empire’s* brutal suppression of the heroic *Jewish revolt* in the second century of the Common Era.

Some people believe that isr means "straight" and explain the name as "Straight (before) God". Another explanation of Isr is man and Raa means to see, so it stands for "Man who sees God", meaning either "A man who witnessed God" or "God fearing man".
