Mostly. In terms of higher costs of living, the ones who said Arabs Israelis (who they insist on calling 1948 Palestinians) deal with higher prices than Palestinian Arabs on the West Bank are correct. But Jews in Israel face the same issue. Also, violent crime in the Arab sector in Israel is out of control. I think they're delusional to say Palestinian Authority law and order and the justice system is better though, but there's an argument to be made that Israeli police aren't effective in dealing with crime rates among Arab citizens. Arab politicians in Israel make the claim that Israeli police don't crack down on criminal gangs in the Arab sector, but also complain about overpolicing.
My guess is that the Arabs in Israel when visiting the West Bank try to minimize their advantage as to not come across as being supportive of Israel and to avoid creating any animosity or jealousy.
That said, the crime is an interesting topic and i’m unfamiliar with the crime dynamics in the west bank, so perhaps in some ways they do have it better…
Very insightful take, never thought about it. Same goes for internal crimes. Maybe because their society is so hellbent on taking down an external enemy, they tend to not target their fellow people
In Jaffa i ve seen Israeli arabs driving maybachs … some do very well and we get along without problems. They are like jews afraid now when they travel abroad, they get assaulted because they re israelis . Of course they have equal rights and advantages like not being obligated to serve 3 years and get accepted in universities with lower scores . Many of them shape our society and are completely integrated. Of course a small percentage is brainwashed by the anti Israel propaganda but most of them understand their luck to live in a democracy
But also, yes, it's much more expensive and the taxes are high in Israel (a big part of it is because of the endless wars...) But it's for all citizens!!
Per capita GDP of Israeli Arabs is $39,000, that of West Bank Arabs is $3,400. A one minute Google search suffices to show the incomes of Israeli Arabs is 11 times larger than that of West Bank Arabs.
@@NoVisionGuy LOL I was just pointing out his little Google search is just that. For example..average income of an Israeli is according to such a simple google search $3300 a month. Mine is $990..then again..I live in the netherlands. The numbers in itself are meaningless. And if you watched the video you'd see that some "palestinians" in the Westbank think they are better off than "palestinians' in Israel. Some even claim that "palestinians" anywhere are bad off. Which is good news..means rest of the world doesn't have to take them in as they'd anyway be as bad of there as in Westbank. And then we don't have to deal with them running around on western uni campus or western cities wreaking havoc and costing our taxpaying citizens lots of money repairing and cleaning up after
Well he did ask them if they would prefer to live under Israel or an Arab regime (without physically moving), and they either answered Israel, or kind of went around in circles without giving a clear answer.
Fun fact. I was reading once that during 1948 war the palestinians who fled from the war zone where rich, while the poor couldn't afford it. After the war rich people werwn't allowed to come back and became poor refugees while the poor who stayed got Israeli citizenship and became rich.
Not really. The rich Arabs are mostly the Christians and they already moved to the Western countries and did not live in tents. This is the same as Lebanese and Syrian Arabs. The Christians are very successful in diaspora. The Arabs who were mostly treated badly in neighbouring refugee camps are bedouines and fellahin who did not really have registered properties to begin with. They are the local Arabs of Palestine even longer than the immigrant Arabs who came during Zionist settlement. The Arabs in West Bank and Gaza are always there as they have belong to notable family and clan who have their own stronghold and political power in their own regional presence since Ottoman times. The political, cultural and traditional way of life is still the same and there is no shift in it pre and post 1948 wars. You will never heard stories about Arabs who live in refugee tents were from such and such notable clans back then. The elites have always lived there in West Bank and Jerusalem as well as Gaza. Even in Gaza and WB, the refugees who live there are always the bedouine and poor fellahins who are outcasts of their own fragmented society. They were treated badly and used as propaganda (to show heartbreaking condition) like Mawasi tribe who used to have good relationship with Jewish settlers in Gush Katif. Meanwhile the Arabs of 1948 Israel are those who also live there. The Negev and Galilee Bedouines, the northern parts are Druze with Muslims and Christian Arabs both live in Jerusalem, Haifa and Nazareth with significant presence. If you want to compare the property of Jewish people and Arab people in Israel prior to 1948 and post 1948 war, there is nothing difference and the stories about Jews live in Arab houses while they in refugee camps still have their own keys are groundless.
@@reddragonready there were 800k palestinians refugees including the rich, christians, muslims, bedouins, fellahins and I just described about them specifically as I was replying the op above who mentioned that the rich became poor and the poor became rich. The denial of stories about every palestinians refugees still have keys are not equal to denying that there were 800k refugees. The stories actually copycat the Jewish stories being expelled from Jerusalem and West Bank by Jordanian army when they took control in 1948-1967 and the Jews who were mostly Ottoman Jews still have their keys. When they came back in 1967 they reclaim their property as Jordanian government had given them to the Palestinians. Hence the stories about Jews expelling Muslim from “their” houses.
I wish Corey had asked a follow up about which jobs they think a Palestinian Arab can't work in Israel... I've seen Israeli Arabs who worked as military commanders, police chiefs, supreme court judges, parliament members, journalists and media personalities, actors, doctors, pretty much any job i could imagine...
Some jobs in Israel require idf service for example while Arab israelis are not banned from joining the idf (some do) many do not because they do not feel the military represents their interests and so that requirement locks out certain jobs even many “normal office jobs”. While this is tangential and by in large Arab israelis have higher incomes, political rights, and freedom of movement I’m assuming that’s what he might be referencing

It’s so interesting that WB Palestinians are oblivious to the high standard of living of Israeli Arabs. Also interesting that Israeli Arabs have the highest opinion of Israelis than any other Palestinians…
I think it's the same. I think WB Arabs live pretty well, they just expect much more than they can have or rather much more than others. For example in the video Cory's made "Israeli Arabs how are you different from WB Palestinains" most answered "rights" or "democracy" which is ridiculous that they think it can be given by others and not made. And in another video called "Palestinians are you happy" you see women and men describing and showing their life is usual yet when someone answers why they are not happy it's because of "occupation" or because they can't go to the Israeli side. What makes the whole situation even more funny is when Israeli Arabs are being asked if they have enough, it's always "Yes but..." I think as every human being around the world, the palestinains just don't think what they have is enough (on the boundaries they can have of course).
Imagine when they learn that Arab-Israelis are equal citizens with full rights and wouldn’t want to live under the PNA even if they had an independent Palestinian state
@@qad8738 oh good sir please elaborate where is your vast knowledge comes from? cause my Palestinian acquaintances do have full rights are voting working and raising a family
This shows how little Palestinians know about Israel and how little the Palestinian dictatorial factions WANT their citizens to know about Israel, as a successful Israeli Arab minority would kind of undermine their whole shtick about destroying Israel and so on. Also, it shows how little the Palestinians in the West Bank value democracy or how little they know that Israeli Arabs have it. The Palestinian factions probably want their citizens to feel like citizens of a democratic country are unhappy and poor and want to be liberated by a dictatorship. I see a lot of misunderstandings based on a total lack of knowledge about Israel, and that is by design. UNRWA plays a major part.
Stfu dude. Life isn’t only about money and having food and a roof over your head. These are animalistic basic needs. The 1948 arabs live in an apartheid state. Go watch the video where he talked to israeli arabs, they said it all: Israel is a racist state that doesn’t treat all its citizens equally. It’s a state for jews only
Those who work in Israel either illegally or on work permits know the reality. But they probably won’t say it out loud when they go back because it undermines the narrative. Still, there is some awareness from one interviewee like the woman at 1:43 - perhaps her husband worked in Israel. Last guy also gave a frank and realistic answer. Also to acknowledge a “difference” or socio-economic separation of the 48 Arabs is to acknowledge humiliation, and their honor culture won’t allow that shame, so they maintain “there is no difference” not to lose face. You can see that honor/shame tension in some of the answers.
Israeli Arabs feel so much better: finiancially, security-wise,politically and socially. So the problem are not the Palestinians, but the country they're living in
I never would have expected the West Bank Palestinians to think that Israeli Arabs have it worse then them. I'm pretty sure Israeli Arabs would mostly think the opposite. Makes me wonder what the true difference is. Are the Palestinians in the West Bank living better then people think? Are they so used to bad conditions that they don't seem that bad to them? Are they just assuming the Israeli Arab must have it hard because they are living under Israeli rule? This is kind of fascinating...
To be honest the vast majority of Palestinians in the WB have never been to Israel or had meaningful interaction w Israeli arabs. It’s true that Israeli arabs enjoy higher wages political rights and freedom of movement the WB residents do not. But again it might sound crazy since they literally are neighbors living only a few miles away but Israelis and Palestinians have shockingly little interaction true with each other and may only know stereotypes or what they hear second hand
What a ridiculous comment, there are checkpoints at every city and village in the West Bank. Palestinians are not free to travel around their own country. Jews do not have to go through checkpoints. However you have the israeli occupation and the settlers to deal with, and the palestinian puppets that are put their by Israel.

@@tommykawaii actually crime rate among israeli arabs is quite high as well unfortunately.
But also, yes, it's much more expensive and the taxes are high in Israel (a big part of it is because of the endless wars...)

Fun fact. I was reading once that during 1948 war the palestinians who fled from the war zone where rich, while the poor couldn't afford it. After the war rich people werwn't allowed to come back and became poor refugees while the poor who stayed got Israeli citizenship and became rich.
The rich Palestinians had already been driven out by the British years prior to the 48 war.
You’re talking about filthy rich.
But culturally poor.. things are now changing once again hope for the best..
@@EAlyahya So, judging by your story..there never were 800 000 "palestinian" fleeing

Some jobs in Israel require idf service for example while Arab israelis are not banned from joining the idf (some do) many do not because they do not feel the military represents their interests and so that requirement locks out certain jobs even many “normal office jobs”. Do you mean Israel Arabs? Confused
Yes. Some prefer to call Israeli Arabs Arabs of 48 (those who were on Israel's land after the War of Independence and were granted citizenship) and others Arabs of 67 ( those who lived in territories that were captured by Eqypt and Jordan in 1948 aka Gaza and WB and weren't granted citizenship after Israel captured the land and didn't annex it). I don't know if there is a different name for Arabs of Jerusalem that was annexed and who can apply for Israeli citizenship (but lose a Jordanian one that many of them have).

@@gibranhader1702from what i’ve noticed some israeli arabs really do prefer the neutral “arab” term over “Palestinian” I guess it depends on the community…
Could the people on camera have social pressure to say this? They are right though about the crime in arab israeli society but that is one thing.
I am a country called Israel 🇮🇱 not 48 area and the fact that Corey asks this way is very insulting and encourages the denial.
It’s not even about encouraging denial- that’s what they call those Arabs - if he said Israeli Arabs they wouldn’t understand what he was taking about. It would no doubt be a confusing question for them
Calling the land you occupy Israel is an insult to them
They just don't get it !!!!!!
Why the hell do you refer to the people in West Bank as Palestinians but the others 1948 Arabs or "Arab-Israelis". They are all Palestinians! Even the way you use language reeks of Apartheid!
Because of Citzenship, dummy, Citizenship. One group has Israeli citizenship, another doesn't. Others have Jordanian citizenship, etc.
Palestinians, someone living in Palestine
Israelis, someone living in Israel
Americans, someone living in America
Brazilians, someone living in Brazil
etc...
Also, tf you mean Apartheid, give me 1 thing an Israeli Arab can't do that an Israeli Jew can ( Israeli, not Palestinans, Palestinians live under the rule of their own governments being Hamas and the Palestinian Authority, and you can't do apartheid against civillians of other country because thats not defenition of apartheid bro )
@@yoavshachar9136 Funny how the occupied territories are always in some sort of quantum state for you genocidal Zionists. @IGORLETOXD It is easy to misunderstand "1948 Arabs" as Arabs living in 1948. It quickly becomes clear through context that they mean Arabs living in Israel.
I am sure the term is more immediately recognizable to Israelis
@codycrawford7842 in arabic, they are called 48 arabs. Just google this to see for yourself: 48 عرب

Yes obviously Israeli Arabs (Palestinians) have a lot less restrictions by Israel, than Paletinians in the west bank, and they also have more opportunities for medium range jobs as Israel is being financed from the outside, however the crime rates and the types of crimes in Israel are a lot worse and the police is not helping enough in arab areas in Israel are often racist. There is also a lot of areas were Arab Israelis are excluded, indirectly by law. And they have a lot of things that target their culture and discriminate against them. They are also not allowed to freely speak their mind, or tell the truth about history.
They saddly also have the same societal problems that the west has, with a lot of divisions, while in the west bank, life is a lot more united and you can trust each other. However you have the israeli occupation and the settlers to deal with, and the palestinian puppets that are put their by Israel.
When it comes to becoming wealthy in the west bank, and becoming a land owner it becomes much easier, however there is always the risk of Israeli Government or illegal Settlers to steal it. Also your water can be taken by Israel, and you generall at risk of being bombed or killed in another way from the IDF, just because you are Palestinian. And the chances are exremely low to get approvals to build your house on your own property. So you will have to built it illegally and then destroy it, so this will increase your cost of living significantly.
If the occupation would be lifted however, life would become drastically improved, and you will see the west bank become very very rich. You might see an increase of Palestinians migrating back to the country, tourism, and businesses everywhere. At least as long as Israel does not keep invading our lands.
