    Hi! Thanks so much, a very informative video. I would like to ask could these problems be occuring at younger age. I am still a teenager and this has happened to me multiple times by now. I've investigated the fluid and sometimes it's scentless and colorless, but sometimes the smell and color suggest it's urine.

    • @PelvicEmpowerment
      @PelvicEmpowerment  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm so glad this was informative for you! And yes, these could in theory be happening at a younger age, but, if someone is otherwise healthy with no history of childbirth or pelvic dysfunction, the more likely culprit is female eja-culation/squir-ting, especially if the fluid is sometimes scentless/colorless. If you want to learn more about that topic, check out this video: th-cam.com/video/YwmIpAI5Y5k/w-d-xo.html

    Hi doctor. I was born with meningocele and had an operation when I was two months old. This problem has had many effects on my life. I think my urination is not like other girls. I urinate even if I'm slightly irritated or want to have sex. Even during sex or orgasm I urinate. I wanted to know, do you think there is a place in this world where I can fix this problem? This has really affected my mood and I feel depressed. It has made my life difficult. Thank you 🙏🏼❤️

  • @anongmail9986
    @anongmail9986 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    Squirting seems to be diluted urine according to the studies which have been done about it, and bladder empties during squirting, so the difference between squirting/peeing isn't really that big I think. Nothing wrong in that though.

    • @PelvicEmpowerment
      @PelvicEmpowerment  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      That's the super interesting thing about it! It is definitely coming from the bladder, but how quickly it can be created and expelled is compelling! Women can empty their bladders entirely (tested on ultrasound), and then squirt hundreds of mLs minutes later - in fact, the world record holder can squirt OVER A LITER of this fluid minutes after emptying her bladder. The studies I've read have shown a mix of what's in the fluid - some women's looking more like diluted urine, others having markers of female ejaculation (coming from the Skene's glands maybe?), and still others not quite having all of the components to consider it urine. It's a really fascinating topic. I agree, nothing wrong if/when it is urine, but at the very least, I want to understand/wish science would further investigate how that much fluid is created so quickly!

    • @anongmail9986
      @anongmail9986 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@PelvicEmpowerment Yes that's interesting and I find it to be a shame science hasn't yet discovered how it actually works. Maybe the main difference there is that if the fluid comes from the kidneys (urine) or Skene's gland (non-urine fluid). Bladder just works as a place to briefly collect the fluid before shooting it out like a water-gun's tank.
      I think it shouldn't be too hard to get a few "skilled" participants into a MRI scanner with a vibr*tor and see what actually happens. Maybe in the near future it will happen?

    • @PelvicEmpowerment
      @PelvicEmpowerment  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@anongmail9986 I think you're on to something with the kidney vs. Skene's gland proposal! And yes, I agree, in theory it shouldn't be a difficult to find the right subjects! I'd love to see it in the near future. I keep my eye on Dr. Whipple and her colleagues, I LOVE the questions they ask and the studies they produce!

    • @jeffa847
      @jeffa847 ปีที่แล้ว

      No way - it's too slippery to be urine. And it tastes different. You can even tell the difference whether during sex or oral when a woman is leaking a little urine or whether it is ejaculate.

    • @Foreignmonk34
      @Foreignmonk34 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jeffa847 It's propably partially urine, there's urea in it in chemical analysis tests. Obviously there are other stuff which makes it viscous (which isn't found in urine). So it isn't incontinence imho, just a physiological/normal reaction and not a sign of muscle weakness or anything like that. Definitely nothing to be ashamed of.

    I have another question. Why so many people just like me ( i mean with Cerebral palsy) struggling with chronic constipation?

    • @PelvicEmpowerment
      @PelvicEmpowerment  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      While I'm not entirely sure, if I had to guess, I'd guess it has something to do with the spasticity that can come with CP. That kind of muscular response can affect the pelvic floor as well as the intestines, and in both cases, it lends itself to constipation. Either the pelvic floor is too tight and has a hard time fully relaxing/allowing for complete bowel movements, the intestines are too tight and have a slower transit time, or both. I'm sorry I can't give you a more certain answer, but that's my best guess.

    1. Urinating before masturbating will help cut down on cleaning up puddles afterwards ;)
    2. Consuming Caffeine will create water works even you’ve urinated prior to starting!
    3. The more you squirt, the more dilute and opaque the squirt becomes.

    I thought your earlier video about squirting said the fluid was urine? I had heard other claims that it was similar to male ejaculate but missing the semen. And of course the quantity is greater

    • @PelvicEmpowerment
      @PelvicEmpowerment  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, it's kind of urine... but also not quite urine? It sometimes has the right components to call it "urine" and other times it has added components that suggest there is some female ejaculation in there (maybe coming from Skene's glands?) and still other times it doesn't have all of the right components to call it "urine." Probably one of those "it depends on the person" kind of phenomena!

    • @PelvicEmpowerment
      @PelvicEmpowerment  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm so glad you found this one informative! Oh my gosh, this would actually make for a really interesting video. So yes, all men have that line, and it's called a "raphe." Specifically, the one on the underside of the pen*s is the "pen*le raphe," which runs into the "scrot*l raphe," which runs into the "perineal raphe." This line is actually left over from when you were a fetus! It's a part of developmental biology - we all start out with more female looking genitals, and those of us who turn into males have a sort of swelling and fusing that takes place to create the male genitalia (I think in the beginning of development... like 7-8 weeks?). I LOVE developmental bio, embryological development is wild!

The most fascinating part is the artificial fluid needed..in James Cameron (the abyss) they actually used a real mouse/rat and trapped it under fluid and it was able to breath even though it's lungs were full of fluid. Perflorocarbons (pfcs) are highly oxygenated fluids. Like I could seriously talk your head off on this subject. Yes, this is unfortunately a more common side-effect of prostatectomy than you might imagine, pending on the sample of men surveyed it can be as prevalent as ~50%, and it's formally known as "arousal incontinence." It's associated with stress incontinence and usually points to dysfunction in the urethral sphincter, maybe muscular, maybe nervous. I'm so sorry that you're experiencing arousal incontinence, but know that you are NOT alone in that experience whatsoever, and that it can resolve!

      @PelvicEmpowerment  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@artmaltman Those non-medical statements can be so frustrating to receive. I'm sorry your providers aren't able to give you a clearer answer. I'd bet it has to do with nerve healing/nerves "waking back up," and, unfortunately, this concept is poorly studied/understood in ALL areas of medicine, not just pelvic health/prostatectomy recovery. It's also highly individual, which makes trying to guess how long something will take even harder. I'm actually uploading a video questioning whether or not medicine understands nerve healing as we speak (I think it'll be live tomorrow), as I had a recent experience outside of my pelvic nerve healing that made me ask myself that very question. Expectations are important, and in other areas of healthcare (like plastic surgery), we tell patients to expect 6-12 months (sometimes even 2 years) for nerves to fully heal. Don't give up!
