Happy New Year. I hope 2021 brings you less pain n more happiness. At least you had time to be with your family, that's important. Im sure you'd rather be up n about. Its ok the vent your frustrations. We truly care for you. As for Christmas I was home with my kitty Cole. No presents here. Take care ❤ 2021 has to be better than last year.

Happy New Year! Hoping that this year will be better for you. What I do when I can’t sleep is listen to a guided sleep meditation video. Works great. I usually fall asleep within minutes. Blessings to you and your family.

Try not to beat yourself up for having to go on TPN for a bit, you got off it before and will again - hopefully your stomach can calm down and you can sustain yourself orally by the summer.
(I’m doing so much better, I can hardly believe how far I’ve come in a year!)

Hi Hannah! I found your channel awhile back when I needed to learn how to cover my central line for showering. I really appreciate your video about that! It sounds like you’ve been through A LOT lately. I know what you mean about GJ problems always happening on the weekend! That’s when mine had problems, too - usually Friday night on a holiday weekend. The night before Thanksgiving, my GJ got kinked in my esophagus. It made a squeaky sound every time I swallowed. IR couldn’t fix it until the day after Thanksgiving. Anyway, sorry for rambling. I hope your TPN gets better, and that you can get your J tube soon!

Hello- have been going through your playlist cuz I have small fiber neuropathy and issues with circulation (though I don't have POTS). I remember a video in which you said you had venous insufficiency in your legs; what test did you say the docs ran to determine that? (I forgot which video you mentioned it in).
I had a hemodynamic & blood volume test which showed severe blood pooling in my legs. Hope this helps!!

I got an early Christmas present of a gtube...my first one ever. I had complications and had to be admitted and have more surgery to get it replaced and close the hole in my stomach from the old one. For actual Christmas I got a tilted mattress pad for my GERD.
Why would they close up the other hole. They Always go thru the original hole in my stomach. I currently have a GJ tube.
@@guardiansanimalrescuestate7289 it had completely detached and food and stomach fluids were leaking into my abdomen. I'm not 100% sure why, but there had to be a reason.
What kind of tube do u have?? I have a GJ and the first one came out of the stomach, but I’ve had this one for 6 weeks. If u don’t have a GJ then how can u vent to try to stop the vomiting.
Why do u have to be in the hospital after a feeding tube?? Mine were outpatient.
Well at least my Hickman is great. I’ve had this one for 6 months. Be careful with TPN and your Hickman. It’s very hard on lines. So I have a double lumin In which is great.

I currently have a GJ tube. My surgeon only does inpatient straight J tube surgeries which is why I have to be admitted. Thank you so much!!!! 💗

We need to creep into 2021 like it's a new relationship... like 2020 broke everyone's hearts, and 2021 could potentially be "the" one, but we have to take it slow. I'll kick 2021's butt if it turns on us!!!
I hope that you have a Happy New Year? What does TPN stand for? The sad thing is that once you get a COVID-19 test and you are having medical issues and once they have determined that you don't have it or it is positive they pretty much forget about your other disabilities and you really don't get the real help that you do need because they are so focused on the COVID-19 that anytime you have a problem they don't check for other things that you could have along with testing for COVID-19?
So, what's a "Better" plan for a tube that flips? WHY do they flip (I'm asking because I don't know. Just found your channel. Interesting.
The plan is to place a straight J tube which won't flip however bc of COVID I haven't been able to schedule it yet (hopefully soon though). My surgeon and GI doctor both said they see it happen in gastroparesis patients who retch/vomit a lot which can cause the tube to migrate back into the stomach.

That is ridiculous they’d admit for TPN but not a less risky tube procedure. I hope you get back on feeds ASAP as it seems so silly to put you on TPN and potentially reduce GI function more.

For Christmas I got to come home from the hospital I had 8 inches of colon removed and ended up with c.diff yet again and had to go on 250 vancomycin instead of 125 three times daily but I'm thankful I survived the surgery since I've been sick now for two years
I'm so sorry, I know I can't get labs, and I am "I NEED LABS TO LIVE HOW DO YOU KNOW I AM DOING WELL ENOUGH?" For me it is just, the fear of not knowing how things are going, for you it is pain and also PEOPLE NEED TO WEAR MASKS, it is shameful that people don't understand, if you don't wear masks and keep distant ... people that normally need medical care can't get in for the care they DO NEED. It's not just people with the virus that suffer, it's everyone else trying to get their normal medial care. Hugs and love.
What illness do you have that makes you unable to eat? It sounds horrible. Is it gastroparesis? I wish some doctor could treat the underlying illness in some way so you could eat normally and not have the need for a feeding tube or TPN. That would be ideal. I'm thinking about you and wishing that things improve.

Because it comes with lots of risks like liver problems and line infection which can lead to sepsis

Because she’s very sick There are a lot of us with chronic illnesses and we do our best but we spend most of our time in bed. We would rather be up and going to Holiday parties and spending time with our families but we just don’t have the energy. I’m glad you have good health and energy enjoy it
