Just cause you can’t see the root of the pain, does not mean it doesn’t hurt. I know you know that, but sometimes it helps to have other people remind us. I have horrible chronic pain you would never be able to see, but it still hurts. You actually had a big deal surgery where they cut part of you stomach open! That’s a really big deal. It’s okay to let a mountain be one, you don’t have to make it a molehill.

Hannah, I’m so sorry this surgery has been so tough for you but I’m so so proud of you!! I loved video chatting the other day and I’m always here if you ever need to talk or vent.
You will get through this I promise!! You’ve come so far since I first started talking to you and although this is a step back for you, it will get better again!
    Sending lots of love 💕

Oh Hannah I give you so much credit for vlogging during this very difficult and painful time. I wanted to ask you about the details of your surgery, but didn’t want to intrude. I wonder why your doc didn’t request saline infusions given by a nurse at home, along with some nutrition via IV? Surely dehydration creates a whole mess of other symptoms and decreases healing time, plus obviously makes the POTS way worse. If you can’t get help from your doc, can you go to the ER? Sweetheart, you have been through so much and I have incredible respect and admiration for your strength! It breaks my heart you are in pain. You are a beautiful warrior and I am praying all the time for your healing. I know the best is yet to come for you. You are doing all you can to get better and it will happen. Thank you for keeping us posted Hannah. I send you all my love and gentle hugs. Cindy XOXO

So great to hear from you lady! Sounds like you've been going through a very trying time, and I hate that for you. Of course, I'll continue to pray for you that our good Lord gives you the strength and fortitude to get through this trial. He's certainly gifted you with Courage! By creating these vlogs, you're doing a great service for anyone going through this (or really any) surgery. Seeing how you persevere through the pain to put these vlogs together in order to help others feel comforted and not so alone in their suffering is so inspiring. The vlogs also allow us (your subs) to offer you words of encouragement and loving thoughts. You mentioned needing suggestions for how to get salt on a liquid diet...now this may sound odd, but Kentucky Fried chicken gravy (that comes on the mashed potatoes) can be ordered in a side cup and eaten with a spoon. The mashed potatoes could also be blended to make a bit more liquid. When I have stomach problems, I find mashed potatoes and gravy to be gentle on the stomach, tasty, and a comfort food. The gravy is also high in sodium. Praying for ya and looking forward to another vlog whenever you feel up to it 🤗🤗❤❤ Hope this super long comment didn't tire you out too much lol!

Hi glad to hear from you I've been patiently waiting for this vlogg I hope you get better. My experience with surgeries even the small ones hurt the most . It seems strange that your doctor hasn't replied. In New Zealand we have free public health care. So if you have complications it's so easy to turn up to Emergency for treatment. I have private health insurance so I don't have to wait on a big waiting list for surgery. The last stomach surgery was my Hiatus hernia I was in for 5 days I had to eat peray food disgusting for 2 months.

Hugs to you! Hang in there and I know how hard it is. They make salt tablets that you can take although I don't know if you'll be able to keep them down right now. I know when I get really really bad and crave salt sipping a little bit of pickle juice help. I doubt you can have that right now. As you know, when we have one system of our body worked on, mast cell & pots come to the party even though they were not invited or welcome. Your body has been through a lot, even know there is no incision, all of the nerve endings in the stomach make simple stomach procedures very painful. You need to be really careful getting up to go to the bathroom and do not try to take a shower without your mom or somebody there with you. I know you don't like to bother people but very important right now. Dehydration alone can make you feel really crappy. If you have set up for the fluids at the hospital outpatient, don't be a martyr, go in and get them it may help you feel a lot better. They can also put vitamins (called infuvite)into the saline which may help you feel better too. Unfortunately, an NG tube won't help much right now. It will make it easier to get stuff down but it won't keep stuff I'm coming back up. Hang in there! I'm sending healing thoughts your way! You are an amazing strong young woman I know it seems horrible right now, but six months to a year from now we can hope you will feel like a brand new person take care and will see you soon!

i hope your GPOEM worked and you are feeling better. I am in a bind with type 1 diabetic autonomic neuropathy causing non-hypertrophic pyloric stenosis. I hope my new neurogastroenterologist can help as my g-poem completely failed, leaving me dependent on dilations with botox for now. The good news is that this qualifies me for a pancreas transplant, which will definitely help with part of this.

If you get nauseous, you should tell them that you do better with Dilaudid. I'm the same way and morphine has a tendency to make people a whole lot more nauseous (even with nausea meds). I can't have morphine anymore, and they just go straight to Dilaudid. It works a lot better.

In case of the oxycodon: I use the orodipersible version which means that the pills fall apart in your mouth. And therefor you can take them under your tonque for extra effect when your stomach is not working (good). The only problem is that they cannot been made in an regulated release. But for me that is a little problem compared to thepositive effects of the orodispersibility. Maybe you can ask for the oro version?

I guess my comment was a bit late...because this isn't a surgery that has been done on many patients with millions of success rates, it's still in trial. Many of the patients who have went through with this surgery at Cleveland clinic with I'm assuming your same team of gp specialists came out 100 x's worse. Sometimes you have to be leery of these treatments because you end up becoming a Guinea pig. Also I'm surprised you said laps bother you since the incisions are the size of 1/2 inch, I also have GP which is aggravated by pain meds, carafate won't let your pain meds work either if you take it 3 hours before or after a dose of pain meds. Also what does diarrhea have to do with GP?
