    I'm so sorry you ended up back in the hospital... Seems like that's just how it goes sometimes. I am so glad they gave you sedation to place the NJ, I've had 3 placed without, certainly not pleasant. It may be frustrating being tied down with the tube but you'll make it through. I'm juggling 3 tubes right now and can't seem to keep them untangled lol! I'll be praying that your recovery goes better from here on out!

    My goodness, you've really had a lot to deal with recently. I'm glad to see that you're feeling better than you were at the beginning! It's totally normal and fine to feel down from time to time, so please don't stress over that. You're going through some MAJOR health/medical issues and I'm inspired by how well you you handle it. Praying for you!! Take it easy and heal at your own pace 🤗🤗

Even though we are dealing with two different things you have shown me to keep on going and to keep moving forward. And I just want to say thank you! You truly rock! You'll be in my prayers!

    I believe in you. Chronic illnesses do cause depression and anxiety. You have a beautiful mindset on life. The only reason why people stare, is because they are curious and the have questions, but don't know how to approach us. I have a pick line and I wear a facemask and people still stare at me. You know what I do when people stare at me? I smile and say hi and then they either asked me the question they want to ask or I am accidentally embarrass them because I caught them staring. You will eventually get used to the staring. I'm glad you're feeling a little bit better and that you are going to try to go to work and try to go to college. To me that's my inspiration. You are my inspiration. Keep your chin up and know that God has your back. God bless. Xoxo

    I'm so glad you are on the mend! You have been through so much these last couple of months so when you're feeling down, just remember you are strong, brave, and loved very much!This is a lot to cope with, take it all one day at a time. Having feeding tubes, sucks big time, but it is a necessary evil right now to keep you alive ! I've got a lot sensory integration issues, and couldn't stand a tube in my nose. The good thing for you though is there won't be any abdominal scars so once you're all healed up. I can't hear my own pumps right next to me let alone on TH-cam for somebody else!aLol! The one thing I did notice is the pump they brought you is big. I had a zevex pump and loved it. They were designed with active children in mind and can actually run upside down if you're standing on your head. If you don't like the one you have, call and tell them you would like to try something else. Although we are grateful for the home health company getting us supplies, you have to remember that you "hire" them and the worst they can tell you is NO! I'm hooked up to IVs 14 to 20 hours a day pending on how much fluid I need. as far as staring goes, smile wave then make the best of it. I make reborn dolls and make some that look like baby gorillas. I turned one of them and to a backpack. For my feeding pump when people would stare I just smile and say yes that's a monkey on my back LOL! I know you don't want to hear this but I'm not much one for mincing words. I do not think you should try going back to work. As children we are given the "I can conquer the world" confidence that slowly dissipates over time as we discover limitations in our world. I can't begin to tell you how many times I made situations much worse from not pacing myself and giving my body enough time to heal. Going back to work now would have been a stretch had you only had the initial surgery, but you've had anesthesia twice now, set backs, and school starting soon. unless you plan on working at the theme park forever, your focus nail needs to be building up in Durance and getting ready for classes. educational choices now can have an effect over your whole life. And is very important for you to take care of your self so that you can be successful. Even though I don't think you should go back to work right now, it doesn't mean that you have to sit around the house feeling useless and listening to your feeding pump. With school starting in a few weeks, take your sisters out every day and do little things to get out of the house, have fun, and enjoy your time! Just getting up and ready to go some place is actually very therapeutic and helpful for you. Do what can and when you start to get tired, go home and rest. Eventually you will find that you tolerate a little more activity each day. That is the best way to recover from big surgery. What size t-shirt do you wear? I will send some Happy mail your way when I go to the post office this week! Thanks for the update!!!!

      Thank you so much for you're comment, I always get excited when I see that notification! I'm just going back to work for a couple hours a day 3-4 days a week. I really need the money to save for college, but I also genuinely enjoy my job. Obviously, if it's too much I definitely will take a step back! I wear a small, I really appreciate it!!!

      Simply Hannah I totally understand needing a littla extra $$$! If for any reason you even question if you should go into work, stay home! I know with online stuff it's hard to tell if things are legit or scam. Here are a few of the places I use to earn extra money that truly are legit.
      1. American Consumer Opinion- most of their surveys take 15 min or less. You don't get paid a whole lot but it adds up over time. Once you have enough money to cash out at least $10 I deposited in your Paypal account.
      a. Mystery Shopping- these are some of my favorite ways to earn extra money. Depending on the type of Mystery Shop it is you get anything from free food and services to lots of cash. I currently use Presto instashop, conferro, sassieshop, and jobslinger. They are done on your own schedule. Around here, some of the prestashops, pay you $5 just to drive up to a fast food establishment and take a picture of their menu board. You don't even have to buy anything. We also have a company here called Innovations research. I don't know if it's Nationwide. Most of the food products we test it that one or from ConAgra Foods and up until recently I was totally based here in Omaha. Funny thing with this one is they pay you cash at least $20 to spend 1/2 or so sampling food. Since they want to know about the taste and not how your yummy feels afterwards, I take a disposable cup me and chew the food up and spit it into the cup rather than swallowing it. Each person gets their own separate little booth similar to the ones you see when you vote.
      3. Microsoft rewards- this is one I like because you get paid to do what you are already doing! That have surveys, games, trivia, and a link that gives you money to use bung as a search engine. Once you have enough points saved up, they give you gift cards to Amazon, Target,etc.
      4. Ebay, poshmark, etsy, etc. you are such a great Fashionista that thrift shopping for clothes(or anything else) and selling online is something you would be very good at!Also, along this line, have you thought about going to Beauty School? You are great with what you do now and I think you would be absolutely AMAZING with formal training on board. You can also bring in first hand knowledge of the effects chronic illness bring to your self esteem and how just looking better makes you feel better!
      I know every situation is unique, but please consider applying for Social Security. I don't know if I could have made it through college without it. I think you posted about it before, but with your classes you will qualify for accommodations when it comes to note taking, taped lessens, alternative testing times and possibly more. Pretty much every college has a student support services office you can go through. I love school! I'm currently studying to take mcats and am planning on starting med school in 2019 or 2020 and plan on being a mast cell activation specialist when I'm done! College is a big step for anyone regardless if it is at a community college or doctorate studies. Of you need help let me know! Take care! It was great seeing you and I'm so glad you are on the mend!

    I understand the feeling you get with the feeding tube, I remember when I got my wheelchair 7 years ago, I knew in a way people would look at me but I couldn’t imagine the huge impact it would have on how other people would treat me - in a good way! Suddenly I got first class service everywhere and strangers said hello to me in my neighborhood. To me it feels a bit sick since got treated like a totally different person without the wheelchair. Stay strong girl!

    • @SimplyHannah98
      @SimplyHannah98  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I totally agree! I love working in customer service though, so that way I have the opportunity to treat everyone that way regardless! It has opened my eyes to how people treat you differently but I hope I can be that way to everyone if that makes sense! Thanks so much!!!

    When I was in the hospital with an NG tube for a different reason (wasn’t diagnosed with my pots, eds, etc. yet) I woke up and was super grossed out cause I could smell the ensure that was in my tube and then I felt something wet so it turned out the constant feed was leaking and it was all in my hair and on my pillow but I was just so done so I flipped the pillow over and just slept in the sticky ensure it really sucks stay strong I love you and your videos ❤️

    Wait until your medical situation more stable. Work as you said is ok but it's adjusting to a new routine that's going to be hard but you can do it. Online courses is good idea but like you said you need to know what you want to do which isn't easy with chronic illnesses. You need to do a planner of your week so you know for sure you will have time to do the courses. Good luck on your quest things will fall into place but it takes time. 😊🇬🇧

    Question-What is the blue part on the feeding tube? Does it go into the other nostril? I havent seen that blue part before and I follow The Frey Life in which Mary has had an nj tube. She has CF.

    • @SimplyHannah98
      @SimplyHannah98  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It keeps the tube in place, basically I can't pull it out which is reassuring that it stays in my small intestine! When I had an NG tube, I didn't have one though.

      Simply Hannah
      Well I mean look at all these comments here I’m pretty sure you will have people who will come. A lot of chronic illness channels I have seen have a lot of service dogs and it’s nice to relate to someone who doesn’t have a service dog who can work and who is trying to go to college and I want to do that one day even with all my chronic illnesses you make me feel better about doing things in my life I am visually impaired and I suffer with chronic illnesses as well some that are undiagnosed once you enter the realm of POTS it’s like you’re always getting a new diagnosis or trying to figure out what’s going on with your body. I also wanted to say that I love seeing the good support system you have because not a lot of people have that and I see a lot of TH-cam channels to have the support system but you never see the ones who really don’t I don’t have a good support system but watching you helps me keep going because you make me feel better about things and if you ever need a break from doing your videos or you just your body just can’t take it anymore please don’t be afraid to stop I have seen that two were people do a lot of videos and then eventually they will stop there TH-cam channel or decreases their video uploads. And I also have seen a lot of TH-cam creators with chronic illness they stop educating or they stop talking or they just kind of lose themselves with in their chronic illness you help me see it’s OK to be yourself no matter what and I thank you for that.
      I am sorry if there’s typos in here #BlindGirlLife
      I also wanted to know if you had like an email or something that people can ask questions or just talk to you personally? I am not a big person with social media because well I’ve seen what it can do which is why am scared to make my own TH-cam channel.

    Im new to your bog and stil learning about you. Going to Target will make you feel better. Always helps for me. I love Target. I didnt know you have a job during all this. Do you have FMLA or how do you manage to get time off? Try not to pay attention to people that stare. Its easier said than done, i know. Ive got Crohns so I understand chronic illnesses. One day is fine and the next all hell breaks loose. Take care. Enjoying your blog.

      Target is the best!! I do not have FMLA as I only work part-time and I'm not eligible. Thankfully, my boss is super understanding and accommodating and as long as I have doctors notes and give advanced notice, they're okay with it. I know most jobs aren't like that though and I definitely will be getting FMLA when I'm eligible. Thanks so much, you too!!

    I have the WORST veins they r deep and tiny and it’s just bad!i think all of us with chronic illnesses/chronic pain/mental illnesses have those days weeks or months that we just can’t get out of bed...AND ITS OK!! And with the entire tube situation u WILL get used to it and u will get used to people starring to the point where u won’t even notice!’ Do u know how long you’ll have the tube?

    I am not getting notifications from anyone...
    I hope you are doing good today. Have you thought about putting the tube under your shirt? I would be worried of it getting snagged on things like doorknobs.
    You are so strong. I would honestly trade you feeding tube for 2 plates and 7 screws in my ankle that I can't walk on for 3 weeks.... I am miserable. I also think the tube would drive me nuts I am just tired of having to crawl up 15 stairs, to the bathroom, and my room since I am having issues getting a walker for upstairs... I actually wouldn't wish what I have on anyone... Maybe my enemies that hurt me... The pain in the front of my ankle was really irritating so I cut up absorbine back patches and put them in the spot that hurt and it feels so much better.
    Please stop apologizing for rambling you really don't need to. I am always glued to what you say when you talk no matter what is it about and your makeup looked fabulous I really do look up to you and I am a lot older.. Just don't forget it is your channel and you can talk about whatever you want and don't need to be sorry for any of it.
