Yesterday I was very stressed and tired from caring for my Mother who is currently in a lot of pain. So I made the mistake of drinking some coffee. 🙈 Today I ended up being in so much pain that I told my dad that I just needed relief and I couldn’t do it anymore. He rushed my into an urgent care and they basically said just to wait it out and drink a lot of fluids. Watching your videos makes me feel so much better! Although my problems can’t even start to be comparable to yours, your videos really helps me when I’m in pain. I’ll be praying for you! 💕

Hello Hannah. You might not see this but my friend had just been diagnosed with cancer and I know it’s not the same but I just want to tell you the same thing I told her because she inspires me everyday to live life to end. I told her, You only have one life to live, live it all, love it all, and remember to never take life for granted. When I go to visit her we always watch you and now I finally subed and just wanted to show you some love from, Lily and Emily. ❤️

Thank you for this video. I don't have the same exact supplies but love the paper towel idea. Its so hard using aqua guard and it'll pop open while I shower, even when I use tape.
Hey Hannah I live with paralyzed intestines and use a feeding tube for medication because I can’t use the restroom by myself so I understand dressing changes and a lot of the issues you are not alone you are also one of the biggest inspirations I have

Once,I grew to 3years old 2 years later I went to pre k.I had a tumer on my nose I could have had cancer if we didn’t get rid of it.I remember waking up at 4am and getting ready to go to the hospital 🏥 I couldn’t eat breakfast know why my surgery could’ve failed and I could have died.But I praying for you Hannah I feel bad I want you to be happy in all of our hearts 💕 we know you will stay alive and be happy soon hope you feel better.

Tegaderm is extremely useful in this situation. It’s expensive but definitely worth it.
how many times a week did you get a infusions and how many months did it take before needing a central line? im about to get infusions at home twice a week and am scared I will need a piccolo's eventually.
I actually ended up getting my line right away as I needed TPN so I don't really have a good answer for you, sorry! I do saline infusions everyday though (1-2 liters a day depending on how symptomatic I am).

iv 3000 is my saving grace. my lines not stitched though so i have to use stat locks and im super allergic. any ideas? my iv company doesnt have any hypoallergenic alternatives and ir doesnt want my line stitched. lol. 💛
I have a central line via a chest port, PICC lines caused too many DVT’s:/ When I had PICC lines, I could wrap my arm so well that I could actually take showers. Now, have had 3 various ports, 2 tore through my skin because I am so thin from GP. I’ve never been able to go unaccessed to take showers, only get deaccessed if I have an MRI and no metal allowed. However, have to get reaccessed immediately following:/ My Homehealth won’t allow me to change my dressing, I’ve asked multiple times😥. So, in about 5 yrs, have only been able to take a quick shower about 4 times. Only because I got deaccessed for medical reasons and had to wait for my Homehealth nurse to arrive to access me again. I love this idea; although, I’m allergic to Tagaderm and can only use IV3000. After watching your video, I SO wished I could too, but my Homehealth would discharge me ASAP because of the alleged liability🙄?? So, I can’t shower and can only do baths or sponge baths:( Not sure if you’re aware, but IV3000 makes a “rimless” large patch, so no orange sides. It helps “a little” in hiding the dressing. Looking at the back of a new patch, it looks like sku #66024008, lot 1847. If your interested, I can send a pic of it. I used to use the same IV3000 patch with the orange sides, until they came out with borderless. It makes a “slight” difference in the hard life of a chronic illness patient
ub ellie I’ve been using the borderless IV3000 for 6 yrs bc I’m allergic to to border. Allergic to tegaderm too. I take showers with my dressing. I hold a folded hand towel and use a handheld shower head and hold the towel over my site.
Marieke D I also have a hand held shower head that I use, but it doesn’t feel like a full blown shower to me because I am so limited. I’m in a wheelchair, so have to sit on a shower seat and I also have another line to manage plus an external Ostomy pouch too in addition to my central line, so it’s really hard. I miss just hopping in the shower freely and thoroughly soaking myself, I never feel completely clean anymore:/

if you ever run out of tegaderm for your shower ... you can use plastic wrap just make a huge square ... and use medical tape around it ... i use that its easier than tegaderm to remove ... my skin is so senistive ... Oh btw i have Cystic Fibrosis i have a pourt ... ive had a central line before tho. You do such a nice job lol 😜

Hannah, I don't know if you realize this or not but you really are an inspiration for the hundreds, maybe even thousands, of chronically ill people around the world. No, not a stupid question at all! I currently do not have a feeding tube. Instead I have a central line which is like a permanent IV

I know this isn’t the same but when I was born I was born wrong.My arms were where legs were.And leg were my arm wet supposed to be.After the third day of getting out of the hospital 🏥 I wasn’t eating,and I was crying.So my parent took me to the hospital .My organs,and vains were mixed up.I was in the hospital for a month or a few weeks.I was better.
