Uber Eats has gotten horrible. A lot of low ball orders. Even their peek pay is horrible. How many orders can you get in an hour for two dollars extra.
Uber has been fire 🔥 i guess you dont understand the new systems they implemented. If you get an order of 5 dollars or 4 dollars and it took you like 30 to 40 minute's to deliver the food u are actually getting 21 23 dollars.
It all depends. I live near the highway with restaurants everywhere and work 3 hrs Friday, 3 hrs Saturday and another 3 hrs Sunday. I make close to $200 by accepting ONLY orders that include tips. I start my shift as soon as a good order comes up and stay in 10-15 mile radius. Rarely take orders more than 5 miles away unless I'm getting $10+. My acceptance rate is low by doing this but thankfully Uber Eats doesn't penalize you for this like Door Dash does. I just make sure to make my deliveries on time and keep the satisfaction rate high. Communication with the customers that include a tip is KEY. A lot of times they add an extra tip. It only takes a few seconds to let them know you are at the restaurant. Yes they know this if they are tracking you on the app but believe me when I say it pays off. I used to take every delivery at first but I am thankful for all of the tips you have provided in the past Mike. I have a full time Job so the extra $200 a couple of hours here and there is just enough for me. Thank you.
I’m sorry but $38 is not going to get me out of bed to go drive around for 2 hours and spend most of my time declining crap orders. It’s simply not worth the gas and time anymore.
.. that seems to be the average pay out everywhere .. we should get 10 bucks per dinner order .. should be just a given . And lunch should be 7 to 8 bucks average order .. we should be walking away with a 100 bucks a day in our pockets , regardless . do away with these miles crap .. penny pinching nonsense .. love the cash out of 99.34 ... Smh .. 🙄
If I'm not making 20-25 per hour, I'm not doing it. In my market I've averaged around 30-35 an hour using promos with DD, but the very lowest is usually around 22-23/hour@@Denise-ij3tl
@@rappy90 Yep. They know Ahmed will eventually do their 2-hour, 17 stops for 28 dollars order. Unless it's raining or snowing these apps aren't worth it anymore. They should all crash and burn and we should just get regular jobs. Cost of living is just too high now to make under 15 bucks an hour. You're not making the 20 an hour you think you are due to gas and car upkeep.
Here in SoCal, it has been miserable. DD doesn't stop accepting new drivers. Our area is oversaturated and on top of that there's a group of illegal immigrants from Europe who are renting accounts, renting cars, apparently from one big boss and to top it off, they have two phones, both with DD accounts, which don't belong to them because they don't have a SSN! We see them picking up an order with one phone while the other phone is searching for orders. Do they do UberEats? Of course not because UE asks for facial recognition every 5 or 6 days. And to make things a little bit worse, we are under transition to the new Platinum program, some areas, like Pasadena, have the new program. Other areas don't and I suspect that's the reason why myself and some other long-time-full-time drivers haven't seen a single large order since Thanksgiving. Here we go Mike! That's the reality in Los Angeles County.
I swear five guys is the worse I only ever take them if it's a high paying order cause there has never not been a time I went in there that I didn't have to wait.
Shifts have been super slow here in Los Angeles. On DoorDash, submarkets have rarely been "busy" or "very busy" except in the areas that are kind of hell to drive around in peak traffic. Usually about one or two orders (good or bad) per hour. Uber Eats has been more busy, a lot more reliable and solid orders. Very little peak pay unless it's after 11pm or before 7 am. No surge pay from Uber Eats at all :/
This is just my opinion from my experience: My area is pretty good. I do 12pm-3pm and 5 or 5:30pm to around 8pm or 9pm because that is when I have to head to pick up my wife from work. Daily I am averaging over $20 an hour in the evenings. The afternoons are smaller orders because people are ordering for 1 and from places that it are quick to eat at work as opposed to for a family in the evening with time to sit down. During those 3 linch hours I average $13-$17. I don't even bother with mileage. I go by total delivery time. I take the dollar amount and multiply it by 3 because I need to make about $1 every 3 minutes to hit $16 in 40 minutes. About 20-33% of an hour will be down time not on a trip so I expect 20 minutes to be down with 40 on trip. If I get trips back to back I earn $24 minimum in an hour using time. Example: A delivery comes in for $6.83. I take the 6 multiply it by 3 and get 18 minutes. If the delivery is less than 18 like say 15 minutes I know it is good. If it is over by more than 2 minutes I don't take it. In this example 20 minutes would be good but 21 would be a no go. If you want $20 in 40 minutes then multiply by 2 because that would make $1 every 2 minutes. Getting orders back to back for an hour would give $30 an hour. I don't know what you are using for business miles if that is from pickup to drop or from accepting to drop. I use accepting to drop and my average is $1.75 or so per mile. I haven't used pickup to drop yet. Considering about 50% of my mileage is from pickup to drop I would guess it is about $3.50 or so. Right now I have a 40% acceptance rate this way. From that I can say my market is doing fairly well. Larger cities are seeing cost of living increases leaving people with less free money to put towards tips but they still want the delivery services. That is why the trips are dropping in value compared to a year ago. Fewer people are willing to part with the money they have to pay on top of the service. Since the cost of rent spiked I am delivering to fewer apartments and to more houses where their mortgages haven't fluctuated as much.
By the way. You have a great channel. I’ve watched you a long time. I’ve driven for years myself. But food delivery is in this format coming to an end. The delivery companies were once great to their work force. Now it’s just a money grab. Short sited. Uber Eats is going down. Others are too. I’m seeing restaurants hire private delivery people again a lot lately. Phasing out Uber. It’s happening. It’s no longer ok that drivers don’t get a minimum wage.
I’m doing my own 20 ride challenge today on Wednesday morning. I denied 😮44 min Taco Bell order the other day. Weather was bad abs it would take me 23 plus miles away with no guarantees new rides or orders
I haven’t done an Uber eats delivery in months. Lately I just log in to see if I have any messages then log off to deliver with other apps. As for add ons, I only do them if it’s above $6.
😢that's why I quit already, since New Year Uber eats are horrible in NYC I knew it and it's happening now,8 March already I make 600$ since New year,it's got damn nearly 3months
I refused a Grub Hub order today to go into a drugstore to shop, get two items and then drive four miles. ll for two dollars. No thanks, and something else, if you ever do take a small order like that, that's where a lot of orders go sideways.
UE fee in my area is outrageous. $19.99 before tip. Geez...wondering no one is using UE nowadays. A few that is still using it, they don't tip anymore.
Yesterday UE order $30 when i arrived store they said alredy someone pick up and u are the 3th driver coming for this order after 10 sec another UE driver coming for same order...this is big problem always big orders someone took my order..
In Central East NJ. I'm only doing Uber eats. And Xmas Eve, Xmas night, and New years day were pretty good for me. I realized that from 6:30 am to 9 am is pretty good, lots of double orders from Starbucks and Dunkin. People get up early to take their trains to NYC. Never go into the Dunkin drive thru, go in and get it. Dunkin lines take too long in the drive thru. And then from 8 pm to 12 pm, again, and maybe because it it brick cold out, but I get lots of orders and some double orders. I try not to take drives over 8-10 miles away from my zone, cause even if the pay is good for the mileage, it leaves me too far away, and it is a waste of gas and time to get back into my target zone. Thanks for all your input, just started driving Uber Eats a year ago and your videos have been so helpful.
If an add-on doesn’t meet my basic rules, I almost always decline. Not only is it usually a mistake (there is a reason it’s too low or too far etc), odds are it will slow down my current delivery.
Santa Monica CA pays about $2 a mile tips are good Ave. $2-$4 no surge pay or boost pay available in that area maybe because I spend all my time there. Also, keep in mind that Belair Brentwood and Beverly Hills are right down the street time to time I’ll get a tip of $20-$30 when delivered there
The liability risk is insanely high for the minimum wage pay. Operating costs are well over $10 an hour when in a personal vehicle, if you factor liability.
i could be wrong but in my area (Denver, CO) Uber has been really slow for me. My AR wasn't the greatest so I decided to take ALMOST every order to boost it up to see if it anything changes. Once I did i started getting a lot of high paying orders again like shop and pay or MCDS for 10 for 2miles again. The orders i took either the dollar to mile where the same or the miles were a little under the pay. IF the miles exceed the pay then no trip.
Agree about DD. I multi app in the Los Angeles area as well. I schedule DD and even when it shows " Hot Spots" , I could go entire shifts and days without an offer other than shop and pay's which I've opted out 7 times with DD yet they still send them ( Which lowers my AR but who cares anymore)> . Thinking about deleting my upcoming shifts on DD and giving myself a break from them. UE has been better yet some low ball orders or decent payouts but bad miles ratios for long trips in high traffic areas or going long distances to a not so nice area- Decline that for sure.
Is getting an insulated bag really worth it for distances under 10 miles? It is a hassle getting the food in and out of the bag, and the food I have delivered has never had an issue with temperature.
Upper upper midwest here. I never see surge pay on UberEats. What they will do is send an offer and then sometimes resend it at a higher price a few minutes later. And if that fails, they'll send it again at an even higher price.
2+ hours and that's all you made? it would've been good income 10 years ago but not this day & age..and what makes it even worse is the fact that you had multiple apps going..smh!
When an addon order like that came in I would check to see if the order was already made or close to being done if i could talk to someone at the restaurant or see the bag on the counter. I would want it to at least be $3.50 though even for 0.5 miles.
So in my last shift I received an Uber Eats resturaunt order that was for $40 at 5.5 miles.. completely blew my mind! Even more surpirsing was that the breakdown displayed the fare as being $35 and the tip as being only $5.11.. anybody know what caused that fare to be so high? The order itself was probably for no more than $20 - 2 items.
probably because people kept denying it....at least its what i heard others say and so uber then starts to pay more and more especially with low tip etc
Had one like that last month. It was a hand it to me. Dude had been waiting for his food for 2+ hours. The restaurant wasn’t busy but they were just finishing the order when I arrived. Guess they were having computer issues cus they were asking everyone what items were on their orders.
Miracle. Maybe it was supposed to be a stacked order, and people canceled but Uber forgot to remove the pay? Maybe the map kept taking people to the wrong location. Who knows.
Multi-apping (DD & UE) in Northern VA. ~80% accepted are UE. Weekdays are slower than previous years or recently in general...but weekends are still good. Hoping snow picks up and increases orders/tips soon.
Snow is the only time UE is worth it here in the D.C. area. And even then, it's still better to just bite the bullet and do passengers if possible. Two years ago I was making a fortune. Now it's just pennies. GrubHub is the only decent app I have now.
At 7:11 your numbers seem off to me, you made $68.86 for the 2 hours you drove how is it only 17.08 an hour? Maybe I’m missing something but shouldn’t it be closer to $30 ??
I figured out why the other night when I was holed up in a Mexican place waiting on an order. Over the holiday, the school teachers came out .. just like in the summer. Supply exceeds demand and prices drop. Just like I the summer. My new acquaintance was lamenting how she won’t be doing delivery once school picks up again.
I deliver for uber eats on an ebike out here in tucson az and lets just say its been so dead as a whole i stopped riding around because theres not much point from my experience at least i flip it on and wait at home wich is close to a decent number of places and fyi doordash turned me down for a record from 16 years ago and all other platforms dont allow for bikes in my area
I still LOVE UE! They’re always good to me ( 9 months now ). DD sux ( been with them 4 months now ). GH is a good fill in. I’m in a smallish market in the Pacific Northwest.
Hello down River... Kittanning here. I'm on my 2nd month with DD in this very small market. I do okay some days really well others. Good Day 148 bad day 65 to 80. I'm slow I've been sitting a few days now more than when I first started. Come up river the 25 min drive try this tinny market out...we could grab a cub of Joe.
Uber eats took my route away since Jan 5,I haven’t got 1 food delivery since,The Uber Company now showed me they don’t care & showed me how powerful they are, where u got for the whole 23 year food delivery in my route, now since Jan 5,not 1 food deliveries now in my route, only shop & pay they giving me in my route.which there not enough orders,to earn a living, but they got all the bikes & scooters getting orders in my route 😫
I like it. Just not enough orders from close by supermarkets. Other than that that’s great. Had it would be at least fifteen good orders from supermarkets nearby not 6 miles away, that’s would be great within 3 miles range. Good for customers and riders.
Yeah it’s worth having on to do the occasional amazing order where they jack up the base pay… but I couldn’t make much dojng it alone. DD is just way busier
My January orders have been slower overall. I finally had a Really good day last Friday but now we’ve been snowed in for 3 days. 🥴😵💫😩 We don’t usually get snow here so everything is shut down.
Remember, they all spent their money on others the last few months. I live in Cranberry area, I have done pretty well ONLY on Uber Eats! I do not do anything else and in 12 hours (2 days-6 hours a day) I made $300 so it's ok...I have seen that Thursday, Friday and Saturday's are still the best north of you. I put in more Walmart delivers (on Uber Eats) during slow times (from 2 to 4 pm) it fills in the time...no problems up north! I did not go out Sat night though! I just had a feeling it would be slow...I love UBER EATS!!!
I have the same experience with UE. Until 5-6 months ago it was the ONE out of 9 apps. Now just never ending comedy. First week of Jan though it came through repeatedly and saved the whole week...... first draw I'd had from Rasier in couple of months
DD has been AWFUL in my area. Ever since the Silver, Gold and Platinum program came to my area (beginning in December), I have gone from being a Top Dasher every month to being in the Gold level and I will NEVER make it to Platinum because I’m NOT GETTING ANY OFFERS. I have to schedule my shifts on DD and it’s been so dead. I’m not even getting crappy orders to decline! Yesterday, I made $8 on DD, $53 on UE and $19 on GH. I HATE the Silver, Gold and Platinum program with the “rolling average”; I NEVER know where I’m at but I have to let it go and do my best with what I’ve got.
Agree about DD. I multi app in the LA area as well. Uber eats sucks do several hours in Columbia or St. Louis and barely pull in $30 so now I’m doing rideshare too plus Instacart like I have to go and shop for these peoples food but if they’re short delivery and I can get really quicker in the store you know they always pay at least eight dollars
UE my goodness is trash for me, I've never unlocked the Gold level of 100+ points, so not sure if I would see better offers the next month if I was able to do this or not?
Got a $24.01 offer on UE for only 3.5 miles for a pizza and a charging cable for a local gas station, took 15 minutes total all base pay. KC area and been pretty busy when I go out on DD & UE.
I mean no disrespect, but must have close to 2$/mile, & Pay for much less than miles ratio. You should be making $100/day by 4 or 5 At Most. SIMPLE math. SIMPLE calculating. imho, you are WAY over thinking this. Simple math. $2 per mile. And/or much less "miles" per Day equivalent. You Are Not A Slave. You are not U's slave. They Wouldn't Exist were it not for drivers who take $2 fares. THAT. is ridiculous. It is absurd. DRIVERS are not Drive-bots. For many drivers, if you calculate it out to its final end - what drivers are doing is (again, in the end) Driving For Free. Providing Delivery Services...for free. - Calculated out to its final end. Delivery Service...for free.

@YourDriverMike I recently took a $35.00 UberEats order for Panda Express. It wasn’t a large order and it had no tip…low miles…it was all fare!! I have gotten a couple of these, something seems off here? Anyone else get these sometimes?
I have gotten $26 for 3 miles and $44 for 10 miles, but most of the time I accept those, there is an issue with the order, already has been picked up, etc.
Either another driver or two canceled or the restaurant is about to close. That's been my experience. Another time it was because there were no drivers in the area.

Where can I get your spreadsheet?
Does it include Uber, Lyft Doordash and Grubhub?
2+ hours and that's all you made? it would've been good income 10 years ago but not this day & age..and what makes it even worse is the fact that you had multiple apps going..smh!
Let me ask you this… would you have taken that Uber order in NYC now knowing about the $29.95 an hour now. Thank you
5 Guys is always a long wait. I avoid unless I am getting no other orders and miles to $’s makes up my time investment with waiting
It’s been like this for months. Holiday season was abysmal and new year is off to a bad start.
@@charlesramsey2129 Correct. But this has been in effect since Summer 2023. All through the Fall and into Holidays it’s been horrible
It’s been slow since dec15th in Austin tx.
Uber Eats used to pay ok. The offers are pathetic now, they are like my plan Z.
Uber eats trash. Orders came in last night $6 for 17 miles, $4 for 16 miles, just garbage. Jax,FL
I had a 17 dollar order and received a 14$ tip Today …
Biggest tip I've had is 100.
I **might have taken the $2 add on depending on how my day had been. ie if it had been really slow cuz .5 mile would be super close 🤷🏻♀️
I have the same experience with UE. Until 5-6 months ago it was the ONE out of 9 apps. Now just never ending comedy. First week of Jan though it came through repeatedly and saved the whole week...... first draw I'd had from Rasier in couple of months
Amazon flex is so much way better than these gig apps. Lol I gave up on uber and all those food delivery apps lol
I barely make 90 bucks on uber its in a 10 hour shift in Dallas
Thanks for the ride on the tutorial 😮😅
It's even worth it anymore in my area except some days but I have to do it in-between paychecks
I schedule DD and even when it shows " Hot Spots" , I could go entire shifts and days without an offer other than shop and pay's which I've opted out 7 times with DD yet they still send them ( Which lowers my AR but who cares anymore)> UE has been better yet some low ball orders or decent payouts but bad miles ratios for long trips in high traffic areas or going long distances to a not so nice area- Decline that for sure.
Saturday night are bad. Friday and Sunday is where it’s at for me.
Saturday night is when all the amateur drivers come out and driver supply exceeds demand, prices crash
uber for me out here in miami is bad nothing above $9 tbh
Uber eats sucks do several hours in Columbia or St. Louis and barely pull in $30 so now I’m doing rideshare too plus Instacart like I have to go and shop for these peoples food but if they’re short delivery and I can get really quicker in the store you know they always pay at least eight dollars
massachusetts is not that bad, pretty busy every day.
Hell no on the add on order, no tip, or Doordash tryingn to take the tip from you.
Doordash i did delete it
oPOORtunities! Why? Who’s doing these??!!
UE my goodness is trash for me, I've never unlocked the Gold level of 100+ points, so not sure if I would see better offers the next month if I was able to do this or not?
Uber Eats pro level doesn’t influence the number or quality of orders that you see.
i been trying to unlock it but since orders suck or theres no orders lately i cant even reach that xD i have been like 2 months old doing the app tho
Hi Mike u always ask us to comment but I never had you respond. What are we chopped liver?? Lol. Most TH-camrs respond w at least a like .. comment down below and let me know what you think. Lol 😂😂😂
$2. no
