I was robbed at gunpoint doing uber eats in Chicago. Put gun in my face and said, move and you die. Uber never even called me back after filing report and i have not gone back- please be careful - you are on your own
I'm very very sorry to hear that. It's stupid that Uber Eats didn't call you back. It's kind of evil and neglectful for them not to contact you in that type of circumstances amd for them to not pay attention to what's happening with their drivers/employees. It coukd have been a customer who set you up or something. So, Uber need to keep record of these things so that they could be aware of patterns, etc. I'm glad that you're safe. I hope that it doesn't happen to anybody else. Meanwhile, Chicago seems to have become a lot more dangerous.
Went out on Friday night. Not only ZERO weekend quest, but ZERO surge, and even worse. Waiting 20-30 mins between ride offers. Remember guys that ALL MARKETS ARE EXTREMELY different.
Right. I never get offered uber eats quests. I have never seen a streak bonus, and nothing ever surges or boosts in my market except rides. I can't even trick it because my car is too old.
last night, i delivered outback 13.50 for 5 miles, its a hand to me, the lady was so appreciative she tipped me with some weed, i would have loved a extra cash tip instead
That is so true i had someguys order n have me go to a building that looked closed and area was dark n not residential n they keeped trying to ask me to go down a certainstreet till i just cancelled the order they scared me trying to trick me to go to a certain area. I made a complaint and all i got was intructions on how to deliver food.
7:20 just started doing this and this totally happened to me my second day out. Ended up dropping off in some backwater part of town 30 minutes away from spots. Live and learn.
It appears there's a slight difference in Uber Eats where you are vs. where I am. Never seen surge pay with UE. I have seen surges only when I did Uber X a couple of years ago and worked on Halloween. I hadn't seen consecutive trips set up until this video. I don't take small $ orders, even if my acceptance rate percentage goes down. From you, I've learned how look at mileage and pay to see if it's worth my time. I've figured out what time to be online for trip radars. Today I was able to get a $400 batch with 7 stops and about 13 orders. Two of those orders were cancelled. Waited at Walmart for 30 mins. It took me less than an hour to complete. I got a couple other orders with UE and I also do Spark. Very grateful! I appreciate your videos (even though there's a bit of a difference) so thank you so much!
I had an offer yesterday where a customer ordered food 24 miles away from the restaurant. Ridiculous. I was 4.4 miles away so they wanted me to drive 28.4 miles for $11.51. Absolutely not!
I got it handed to me today. I drove all over the map for 5 hours just to make 60 bucks. I'm still new but i know when I've been had. I turned a lot of orders 3.00,4.00,5.00 to drive 15 to 18 miles away, but i accepted some that i shouldn't have.. My acceptance rate is going to be garbage it's 53% now they should really revamp their system to be more efficient 😢.
The other thing Uber eats does (I'm in Portland, OR) is they will give you a food pick up and the delivery is way across town when there are other stores of the same restaurant that are closer to the customer. I've had it twice. Of course, then they don't tip well because it took a long time even though I arrived early compared to the timing. I'm having trouble even making minimum wage driving Uber eats. Anyone else having this issue?
This order I could not ignore this morning, a Walmart order 2 drop offs, literally 2 items - 8.3 miles - 41 min duration for $67.55. Neptune New Jersey
Really? I wonder if instead of thinking about going to Long branch when my area is not available on the schedule (just like last year in the fall, I stopped to be able to schedule at 3 PM and now can’t until midnight for five days out versus six days out so by then there’s like nothing left in my area maybe like an hour if I’m lucky or I think they actually hold like an hour back to have something I’m not sure) because I had seen somebody on here who dashes in long branch, and even though it has been sucky for her lately it’s still busier than like by me and at times much busier. I always see Belmar/Asbury which is closer… and in fact, I lived in Belmar for three years… but I thought that Asbury would have a lot of apartments and maybe some scary areas. So I guess I’m asking, is it mostly cool? This is for Dashing, I’m talking about. I’ve only done like two UE orders so far. I usually need the money like that day so DD gets deposited as soon as a Dash is over. Once I’m out and get a couple of orders done on there I plan to start turning Uber eats on also and that can come in weekly. I did apply for the card, but it never came for some reason. Then again, even the shop and pay card I had to request a second time and then it came that time. Anyway any input is appreciated. Thanks.
I’ve been doing deliveries now for a few years, and Uber Eats has been horrendously slow these past six months. I work the market just north of Miami and stayed out of Miami specifically because that market has always been oversaturated by an army of dudes on scooters. That army has now gradually made its way north to my area and it’s killing me. I’m talking about you got like 15 to 20 dudes. Just hanging out outside on scooters at a busy spot. I’ve gone from expecting to make $150 a day to if I make 75 I’m happy.
If you really think it’s the same group of dude, why don’t you go back to the original area then? Maybe it didn’t seem busy to them because of all of them but now it’ll be better without them for competition? Just a thought it may be other new drivers also that chased them away by making it less offers available.
i havent gotten surge for 2 winters, promotions for months and rarely any quests(usually 5 dollars for 2). theyre rarely sending orders now. the only time they send me good orders are on the weekends when it rains.. and not even all the days.
Hadn't driven for UberEats and did a shift on them just to see how it goes (been doing DoorDash for a while)...was taking orders that were okay (just constant deny, deny) and noticed the money wasn't coming in (said $5 for this 1/4 mile one, I was waiting so I took it), then it gave me $2. Noticed UberEats numbers include "expected" tip which is entirely up to the customer (and who knows what expected means, 25% of the time?)...tips did come dribbling in but it was probably 2/3rds of the runs (and I do thermal bag pics, napkins / plasticware etc.). Afterwards was just not worth the shift on UE as you can't filter out the non tip runs like you can with DD and the base pay is upside down. Will probably dual app for lottery offerings on UE when DD is slow - can't see running as the primary.
Expected tip means that’s the tip they put on the order but it can change. After they get the food, they have one hour to change the tip. I have done Uber eats for three days and I don’t think I’ve ever seen them change the tip, at least not anything drastically.
This morning December 3, I get an Uber delivery that comes in $25. 1 mile but it doesn’t say where it’s going and that was an alarm that went off in my head, I was able to call the customer they were 25 miles away from me which is 50 mile round-trip Uber tried to screw me I canceled the trip..this is the stuff they’re up to these days not just these days ..screw the drivers they knew no one was gonna take this 50 mile round-trip.. remember you new drivers.. you don’t get a pickup where you drop off!!
Here in Orlando I haven't seen surge pay pretty much all year. Hell I checked last night and UBER had nothing, even DD was offering $3+ in most zone around me.
Here’s another tip? Maybe you don’t take a Walmart order when there is inclement weather coming up. The line here outside has not moved and I have been here for 10 minutes already and it looks like there are three different orders. They want me to pick up. So it might be an hour before I can even get the products.
Most of those radar trips are not worth it, even if my para app flags it as worth since it’s not showing all the info it almost always takes you out of your positioning, not worth.
Uber eats won't give the the boost zones. They keep lying to me telling me it'll be activated the following Monday and it never happens. Did this all October and just gave up. What is whith uber?
I skimmed through the radar trips and ended up getting a double trip on my way home from my regular 9-5 and ended up making $30. It took longer to get home but it was worth it.
I just took a $45 order and it said it was going to take like an hour and 20 minutes but to me that sounds like it’s worth it. But I didn’t realize it’s three different Walmart orders. So I think I’m delivering to three different houses lol. On top of that, Walmart is really backed up so I have been here for over an hour at the store and have not received my orders yet. I know I could cancel, but people neither groceries. Plus, this might be the same amount of money I would be making anyway. I’ve messaged the customers a couple times already letting them know there is a delay. So hopefully they are happy that I’m sticking with it and they give me a bigger tip. I don’t think customers realize I could cancel right now and they will be put back in the queue and they may not get their groceries today because nobody is going to be putting up with this since they are backed up due to inclement weather coming up this weekend
I would suggest figuring out a way to make your info relevant in specific. markets because a lot of what you say for example in LA does not apply. you don't have top dasher here, go get another job its a waste there is no boost pay here in uber eats, some markets have massive saturation and few of these tips apply.
One day a lady wanted me to deliver her food to the mall.park car ,go inside mall,go up second floor, find her job and deliver,i just cancelled it and ate her food.😂
Dude! Here in NEPA we get no Surge or Consecutive Streak bonuses! I did a Shop & Pay at CVS. It was clear homegirl was making s'mores. BUT, 2 of the 3 items were not there. So I'm going back and forth with her on possible alternatives, but she ended up cancelling the order! Doh! WASTE OF TIME! She was cool, but that whole scenario wasn't! But tonight I had a Shop & Pay for just a case of water. Worth it. Even the time dude ordered 2 sticks of deodorant and 10 Red Bulls was worth it. I think CoD dropped that day. Late night drive thru's have helped me make bank! One or two have had waits, but mine have usually been pretty good to me. The managers in a couple even recognize me now. Getting pulled out of my zone on UE has messed up an entire shift!
Surge pay is only an illusion. If they say you'll get $5 surge, your next ride will pay you $5 less. So, in reality, you're not making any bonus money.
imma call cap on the doordash micro zones comment at the 6:50 mark cause lord have mercy you should come hang out in zone and see some of the absolute joke offers, you will see orders where people order crap from this cookie place in the zone and want it delivered to the north side of chicago XD over 25 miles lmfao.
The Uber perks are worth it. They offer free towing, jumps, and gas. I got a flat on my way home when all the trie shops where closed and I was able to get a toe home for free. No questions asked. No bill the next day from Uber.
Did uber remove surge pay in some areas??...I have not seen ANY surge activity in my area in months and months now. 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️....and regarding the trip radar, I've actually gotten some pretty good deliveries from it.
They did, because it’s also Ubers policy not to cap driver population, and this is done on purpose to accommodate an algorithm that sends you low ball offers based on on the number of couriers online in your market at that time.
@@YourDriverMike Thanks for your response Mike, and your entire channel, REALLY helpful...I could really use your advice on something. I remember in a video awhile ago, you strongly advised to not leave our driver profiles blank, to put something there...a struggle, a dream, something. Cause it may lead to better tip increases. I remember I think you said your brother had put something about saving up for a Tesla that lead to some better tip increases...recently I was laid off from the landscaping job I held for the past 16 years straight, which I did put down in my profile thanks to your great advice. Things have not gotten any better for me, only worse, MUCH worse unfortunately...due to extremely toxic and unfair circumstances out of my hands I became homeless and am now living in my car...should I also include that in my driver profile, that I am now currently homeless? Sorry for the long message here, just wanted to give the right context. Hopefully you see this and respond please, any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.
I don't have peak pay any more on Uber Eats. Well actually it's was called Boost. They got rid of it. Plus when they did have it in the opportunity section, the places were so far away. I am talking an hour to 5 hours away. Not worth it! Not worth the commute. There was sometimes rarely one 30 minutes away in another different city. That was the closest one. Still was a commute! The boost hours were at really odd weird hours. Like between 4am to 8am. I am like who the hell orders then??? Probably be ZERO orders. Sometimes they would have it from 9pm to 12am. Never rarely in the normal lunch or dinner time hours. Now they offered Boost pay. Which is similar to what it used to be. Still in he the opportunity section. When I have seen the boost this time around they are 5 hours away! Screw that. I don't understand why they can offer any in my own city
Do they show you the 6.00 bonus upfront on the pop up screen so you can see it? I did 3 pickups all at once and then delivered all 3 and no signs of a bonus or streak pay.
Is it just me or is ubereats NOT offering any bonuses for DELIVERIES only? They are only offering it for DRIVING customers which i stopped doing because of safety reasons😒
I'm glad you kinda eased off of of Doordash vids for a bit.. I loke the content, but also just got to say I think you are blowing a lot of smoke up ppls asses tho.. I get that you're a hustle Channel, but we never see you do it, so.... Grains of salt are all over the floor here..
This is my last weekend doing uber eats because i need a few dollars to hold me until my next pay check from my real job. Last Saturday was pure crap. I made $30. One of the orders, I drove so far only for the wife of the customer to be there as well picking up because they were waiting for the order. I don't even stack orders so I went there as soon as I received the alert. I did a walmart pickup only for the customer to take back some of the tip. I carried two trips of grocery bags for that sucker. I'm so done. Go pickup your own Walmart order next time! Seriously! After tonight..that's it! Let the illegal immigrants do this for $2 and $3 (including tip) what a joke.
Uber eats is more profitable to be a cherry picker than to feed into their BS tier program, oh my gosh I’m saving money on gas that I could just do myself with the get upside app and get the full benefit and not get scammed by Uber and make more money for delivery lol
Be aware the app crashes constantly my third time this week and today I didn’t get paid for the delivery the customer came to the door thanked me took the food the app crashed I called UBER and here I am four hours later no money… If you must drive for Uber don’t go too far if it crashes and you’ve got a distance you’ve also lost all that gas it’s just terrible
I never tip these guys in advance. UberTeets, DoorSmash, ShitonTheDishes ... I never tip, & never will again. The order usually shows up cold no matter what I tip. & so you've forked anywhere from 15% to 30% for some poor slob to sit on your food & smoke cigarettes! Well, that's not for me! Eventually, I'll stop ordering out period. Like right now: I've got a driver sitting at Shawarma Palace for 10 minutes now. These delivery services are bullshit. Just another hand deep Deep DEEP into your pockets. Oh, dear! He's on his way, travelling in the wrong direction of course! Nope, he's decided to stop for another smoke. Ummm-tee-dum-tee-dummmmm. ... ... ... Now, there he goes, & the correct direction. Wonders & miracles! Well, it's finally here. & ice cold. I'm not hyperbolizing-- it's as cold as a vinyl car seat in winter! (remember those?) ... yeah, & I was expecting ...? With that kind or take & take & take, I have no sympathy for these delivery people & their "trying-to-make-a-living" spiel. Try harder.

I don't get surge pay I my market, at least not that I've seen.
I saw surge in your videos, that's as close as i've ever gotten to it

🎯
imma call cap on the doordash micro zones comment at the 6:50 mark cause lord have mercy you should come hang out in zone and see some of the absolute joke offers, you will see orders where people order crap from this cookie place in the zone and want it delivered to the north side of chicago XD over 25 miles lmfao.
The Uber perks are worth it. They offer free towing, jumps, and gas. I got a flat on my way home when all the trie shops where closed and I was able to get a toe home for free. No questions asked. No bill the next day from Uber.
I find that hard to believe
Doubt
wow those orders on surge are as bad as walmart sparx instead of 1 and 2 its 3 orders
Did uber remove surge pay in some areas??...I have not seen ANY surge activity in my area in months and months now. 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️....and regarding the trip radar, I've actually gotten some pretty good deliveries from it.
I haven’t seen surge on delivery in probably 1.5 years. They’re definitely lowering surge they’ve mentioned it at least twice during earnings calls
Nobody wants to work with Uber. It's nothing but a waste of money...
Do they show you the 6.00 bonus upfront on the pop up screen so you can see it? I did 3 pickups all at once and then delivered all 3 and no signs of a bonus or streak pay.
It's only if they're offering it. I think they're called Quests on UE
How you ever been deactivate because you send the wrong document to uberceast
I would never do Shop & Pay, never
I ignore every trip radar…they’re absolutely useless and I wish I could turn them off honestly
Is it just me or is ubereats NOT offering any bonuses for DELIVERIES only? They are only offering it for DRIVING customers which i stopped doing because of safety reasons😒
keep declining those out of the way ones plz they give me 10$ plus tips all the time lol
Well the problem is if you decline, they take away points and don't give you any jobs for hours
Also true requests slowed down a lot after declining orders
Will you be deactivated for declining Uber eats orders?
Will you get deactivated for canceling Uber rides or eats?
No tip no trip! Get it yourself! And you don’t tip cash we all know that by now. Don’t lie to us and play pretend 😂 We’re seasoned!
Our malls are much smaller
Holy
Uber eats is more profitable to be a cherry picker than to feed into their BS tier program, oh my gosh I’m saving money on gas that I could just do myself with the get upside app and get the full benefit and not get scammed by Uber and make more money for delivery lol
Tgats bs, DD runs us all over gods creation here, uber we stay in our normal area
😂😂😂😂😂😂
I will never use Ubereats again
Try harder.
