Although most people who like our staff spinning tutorials, we thought a staff basics series couldn't be complete without basic strikes.
These strikes are drawn from Yin Shou Gun.
Technique 1- Downward Strike
Technique 2- Forward Strike
Technique 3- Chop
Technique 4- Uppercut
Technique 5- Horizontal Whip
Technique 6- Diagonal Whip

Beautiful demonstration of the principle of Bo Staff, once I start to learn, skill & strength, Bo Staff needs strength, not like a sword which is sharp to cut your skin. Bo Staff is to break opponent's fingers & toes & ribs & neck.

Hello André, i'm pretty sure he uses a rattan bo - because of the flexibility. You can get them "nature" or "peeled". Check the Internet oder Martial Art-Stores nearby.
