Hi guys, This is Korean Style long staff spinning skills. In next video, we will show a pattern using all these techniques. Please like and subscribe to our channel and turn on the notification bell for next video. Thank you.
Without Korean style, Koreans copied Chinese cultural video content and promoted it as Korean culture on TH-cam. Many people also learn Chinese Kungfu, but why is it called Korean culture or Korean method when Koreans do Chinese Kungfu? This video is a Chinese martial arts stick (wushu), he is wearing traditional Chinese clothes, The cross-necked blouse is the symbol of Hanfu, and Monkey King also uses this kind of stick kung fu.
@@barbiebarbie1813 Hey Hey... I don't want to debate which is Korean vs which is Chinese.... it is very sensitive and historic issue at the moment on line. The other guy above claims that it is from India. I have many Chinese students in my school. I don't want to be disrespectful to them or any Chinese. We Koreans have had Hanbok (Korean traditional costume) since Goguryeo (BC 37). Chinese has their own traditional costume. All countries have their own costume, martial arts, weaponry, music, dance, foods etc... for many years, exchanged... shared... copied.. maybe.... Who copied who? I don't know... With a long staff, there are only a few ways to turn, spin and strike....Of course they should be similar. Let's respect each other.
Amazing video. You have a natural talent to teach this beautiful art form. Your demeanor coupled with your knowledge, skills, and abilities and how you relay them are top notch. Anyone would be lucky to be your student.
This is brilliant ! Thank you so much for sharing ! Master Sung and Skma has been a staple part of both my children’s development every Wednesday for the last 4 years! I can’t not recommend enough! I can not wait to start practicing this tomorrow ! Thank you again
Thankyou Master Sung (and daughters), I have just discovered this wonderful world of Korean Jangbong at the age of 55, but your clear and simple instructions are very easy to follow and I find i am able to do all the exercises individually if I go slow and steady. I'm a little unclear on how to transition smoothly from one pattern to the next, but I expect that will develop naturally over time as I become more confident with each exercise. Many thanks for your time in making and uploading these videos, you have a new online student.
Hey @Blunderworld, I recently started as an online student, at the age of 52, and am having similar experiences with the Jangbong. It's great to know that there are others like me out there. Good luck with your Hapkido journey :)
Thank you so much for this beginner tutorial! Most videos didn't explain the exact proper placement of hands when swinging the bo staff on a particular set.
Thank you master sung, I am a student in taekwondo and this video has been very educational as I am learning long staff patterns at the moment so basic spinning will help me alot. Once again thank you very much
Once you learned all the techniques on this video, you can do next video below. This is a pattern you can put all the techniques together. Thank you for watching. th-cam.com/video/X8ve7d8jLws/w-d-xo.html
Really love the video, there is so much to learn from this one video and you explain everything very well. You are also straight to the point which is uncommon in youtube. I greatly appreciate you for making this
2 weeks of only butterfly spins 1 week of understanding all other patterns Coming week practice all patterns and then I feel ready for the next video. Thank you so much for making this! It is fun and motivating ^^ Jangbong 쟁반 is addictive in the best way
It is clear that spinning a staff exercises every muscle group and every joint between the jawbone and the toes... with nothing more than a simple stick... would love to see more practice sequences...
Thank You so much for this teaching. I am looking forward to seeing the rest of your content. This will help greatly in the KoAmMuDo training. Be Well and Good Journey Richie
