It's the high pressure fuel pump. My 2024 Trax activ in Black sounds the same. I have a 2008 Pontiac solstice with a 2.0 turbo motor with a high pressure fuel pump, has the same ticking sound .
Good job Buick. I hope it’s not junk and compares to Toyota quality. The price is good for young buyers, college students, or second car. Does anyone know it’s crash tests ? I own a 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe and it has a five star crash rating. Very safe vehicle. I won’t buy a car without a good crash rating. Simple too dangerous to take the chances. Folks, don’t buy it unless you check out crash tests.
My 2024 Chevy Trax, cargo cover does not fit under the spare tire cover. Wish it did! Are you listening general motors? Padded armrests wouldn't hurt either. I would paid $200 more dollars for that.
There’s standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, I’ll take that over factory navigation any day. So that’s my theory, but I’m not the engineer. 😁
It's built in South Korea, where labor costs are less, and the engine is made in Mexico, so, again, labor savings. It's also being sold at a low price point to attract new Buick customers, who hopefully will keep buying bigger, more expensive Buicks in the future.
Gm tends the slap the word sport and st around alot, when really its just an apperance package no sport sus or decent engine.. what the HP and torque..?
Great video but I'm not a fan of the black wheels I was wondering could you order the ST model with the the base model wheels & tires? polished aluminum?
You would want to go to another package such as the Avenir if you like it fully loaded with leather, or the preferred package if you like cloth seats. The Sport Touring package on gives you black wheels.
It's a slightly better, slightly more expensive Chevy Trax that is absolutely worth getting over its Chevy sister. Not just due to the significantly better exterior styling. But the thoughtful touches that come standard. Such as padded arm-rests on the doors. Yes, the Trax lacks padding there.
these are really nice cars, but they are too slow. i test drove it last weekend. people on here saying oh its not a corvette or its not a race car, i hear your point, however this thing cant get out of its own way, its scary slow. people dont realize how outmatched this little 1.2 liter is.
I just test Drove two of them, I have had mustangs in my past and many 6 cylinder SUVs. This is not a race car... I had no problem hitting 70 ..I thought it was great for everyday driving
@badele80 thats cool but GM has always offered at least 2 power train options in most their vehicles historically, they really should offer an upgrade option for people that want a little more oomph. not everyone can afford a corvette as a daily driver, the 1.5 liter from the equinox/malibu/terrain would fit perfectly and the extra 40 horsepower would make a world of a difference. make it a 1500 dollar option or something. you shouldnt be forced to drive a slow car just cause you dont have 100 grand to blow on a porsche
@@cantwealljustgetalong2 no I agree with you, it should be an option. But I also felt fine cruising on the highway with it as far as getting where I needed to go and speeding up to 70 was easy. But yes an option for more power would be perfect...
In South America, it is illegal for a new car to lack a third rear headrest, while in the United States, a luxury car does not HAVE a central rear headrest, considering that a headrest is a fundamental safety feature. Who would buy a luxury car without a central headrest, something so basic and inexpensive?
It’s a rare feature in the USA, as odd as that is. But then again we’re also a country that requires a backup camera on new cars but not automatic headlights 🤪
Sorry, we need a car with a real car motor. Buick has embarrassed itself by suggesting Americans want a car with a minimum of power. We do not. We want cars that have a reserve of power, the more the better! Listen up Buick! Remember the Grand National? Now there was a Buick you were proud to own. Yes, this car is pretty and has tons of features, but I need enough power to pass safely and take my car up mountains with my family and their luggage and still do the speed limit. Buick, we deserve better and putting the smallest motor in the world in your cars is an insult to our se sensibilities and our self respect! Shame Buick, shame!
Actually we have a Chevy Trax which is the equivalent of this car. No disrespect intended but one should drive the car before making an uneducated speculation on the actual performance of a car. I know what the Grand National was and what it meant. I sold Buicks and Pontiacs at that time. Those days are gone. Let’s get real. Again no offense or disrespect intended.
Luv the all black look. Gorgeous sporty, right price, engine more than capable, wasn't meant to be a Camaro. What's not to like👍🏻👍🏻
Exactly it's an amazing vehicle at an amazing price
I couldn’t agree more, I look forward to all the conquest business this vehicle will bring!!
no one wants it to be a camaro bro but it needs to be quick enough to be safe. this thing is scary slow
No AWD. That's what's not to like. The only thing that makes this car not worth getting
Engine is kinda underpowered
Buick knocked it out of the park with this new car.
Extremely surprised by the power of this vehicle. Was sceptical but test drove one today loved it. Picking up a new ST this week can’t wait.
The power is a perfect match for this car, I was surprised as well!
It looks like a Limboginni Urus that's one reason I would buy this car definitely in this trim level 💯👍👍👍👍👍
Yes my 21 year old daughter looking to purchase her first new car as young professional starting her new career.
It looks good all black like that ST.
But there is no rear wiper😢
I’m tryna get this exact one
Am I tripping or do it sound like it’s ticking
It's the high pressure fuel pump. My 2024 Trax activ in Black sounds the same.
I have a 2008 Pontiac solstice with a 2.0 turbo motor with a high pressure fuel pump, has the same ticking sound .
No I do hear some noise for sure
my buick regal does this. i absolutely hate it! idk why- it just does.
Does this Buick envista have the same engine as the new Chevy trax ?
Yeap same engine, 1.2 turbo 3 cylinder.
Good job Buick. I hope it’s not junk and compares to Toyota quality. The price is good for young buyers, college students, or second car. Does anyone know it’s crash tests ? Are they reliable though
I want the Cadillac xt4 but will probably get this first then give to my niece
Right… I have a black 2023 xt4 sport and the black 2024 envista…. the garage has a rich look 👀
I see BMW X4 in the design
There ya go👍🏾
The Buick Encore GX has very narrow front seats. I fear this does as well.
I sat in one yesterday. I'm 5"11 240 pounds. The seats didn't feel narrow..
Please please please Buick make like a limited edition v8 🤣 I would by this car for the rest of my life
It'll be electric before it's a V8 powered!
Joe where can I get that deal in Montgomery county Maryland?
Ohhh.... does the cargo cover fit UNDER the cargo door floor?
Yes it does.
My 2024 Chevy Trax, cargo cover does not fit under the spare tire cover. Wish it did! Are you listening general motors? Padded armrests wouldn't hurt either. I would paid $200 more dollars for that.
Great looking
🔥 Crossover vibes ❤
Love the Porsche look
I’m still confused of why navigation is not standardized in them
There’s standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, I’ll take that over factory navigation any day. So that’s my theory, but I’m not the engineer. 😁
What's the ticking sound?
It’s brand new and need a oil change already😂 👎🏿
High pressure fuel pump.
1:43 what the hell happended to that truck?
How is it possible that this car is less than $30k? Something ain’t right.
It's built in South Korea, where labor costs are less, and the engine is made in Mexico, so, again, labor savings. It's also being sold at a low price point to attract new Buick customers, who hopefully will keep buying bigger, more expensive Buicks in the future.
I like it!
If you look at it upside down while someone is choking you it kinda does look like a lambo uras
😂
Gm tends the slap the word sport and st around alot, when really its just an apperance package no sport sus or decent engine.. what the HP and torque..?
$27,000 worth of horsepower and torque.
Naw this is a crazy deal. Just need some power lol
Great video but I'm not a fan of the black wheels I was wondering could you order the ST model with the the base model wheels & tires? polished aluminum?

Is there anyway to get the ST model with polished aluminum wheels
@@JoeCarExpert
@@Skip-ss8zr no, you can only get the sport touring with black wheels. You would have to order accessory wheels to do that.

I like the looks of the Chevy Trax better. Especially the activ all in black!
2021 Encore GX brakes start squeaking at 10k miles.
With a moonroof probably be around $30K
Nope, a moonroof is only a $700 option.

@Joe-jq4nu i havent test driven one im just going by reviews i see, im gonna test drive one soon
@Joe-jq4nu okay i will
It do look like a urus.
Warranty is terrible for an American car. I heard parts are hard to get.
3/36k warranty sucks
I would consider, IF it were an EV.
Nice design. Does look like a Lambo from the side and front view.
🔥🔥
As anemic as it is beautiful
Waiting 1 or 2 years before these drop down to 10k with barely any miles on them
Nice kinight rider

What was your point, I think I missed it 😕
$30,000 😮
Need more power
Liked it til I saw it was a 1.2 L 😆🇺🇸ripping us off
Lamb profile
Add AwD and 100hp.
Might as well add 200 while they’re at it 😈 However then it would lose the price point that makes this vehicle so successful.
Why it's not a racing vehicle. Then it won't be under $29,000.
X4
