  • This was the best trackday yet! Being able to turn laps at such an elite level track that PittRace is, with perfect weather as well, made it an unforgettable day.
With this being my 5th trackday, I have gotten really comfortable aboard my Ninja 400, and I was able to really push the last two sessions of the day. Trusting the brakes and breaking later into corners and doing more trail braking was the biggest difference in my performance on the day.
Can't wait to get back out on track, but as always, until next time...

Did the fully adjustable suspension make a big difference. I'm still on stock

I bought this bike used and it came with the upgraded suspension, so I don't know how it would feel without it to compare. But so far I am in love with the suspension on this bike. I've heard that the stock suspension on the 400s aren't that great, so I think it'd be a good idea to upgrade if you are planning to keep your bike for a while

Pitt is a fast track people not the best track to chase liter bikes on a 400 but looked like you held your own

Thanks man! It was my second time there, so I was still learning the track, but I felt like I improved quite a bit. And yeah, the 400 struggles a bit there because of how many straights there are. Nonetheless, it's an awesome track for sure!

Bro, you said "chase" .. but all I saw was you getting passed by everyone. Even the fellow (blue) Ninja 400 got you in the braking zone and couldn't reel him in.

      Chasing implies I was behind, I wasn’t lying 😁
And yup, that guy on the 400 was much better than me. I still got a lot to learn!

@@alexandros_moto on a small bike it's especially important to achieve maximum WOT time throughout a your lap. Choose the racing line that allows that.

Yeah, looking back at the footage he was a little too close for my liking considering it was just a trackday, but thankfully nothing bad happened.

    tl;dr - I regret my 400 purchase lol
I've been riding for a couple of months, loved the ninja 400 at first but honestly i just can't stand it anymore. The acceleration is just awful. Twisting the throttle is so 😑then the shame as you know the rest of the group has to slow down because your bike tops at 120, which takes ages to get there cause you gotta redline every gear 😓 I wanted to get into bikes because speed, but honestly my car goes faster than my 400 and i was already bored with the car 🤣 Now i'm watching track videos cause I want someone to show me just how fast they are but all I see is some way faster guy on a bigger cc bike 🤩 absolutely fading away from the camera's sight effortlessly. It's great if you want to learn what a motorcycle is like but it's so much slower that I feel like you're not actually teaching yourself how to ride fast you're just... surviving a 2 wheel'd toyota corolla

I think it all depends on what your goal is. If you just want to go fast *shoutout Ricky Bobby* and do highway pulls then get a bigger bike.
It’ll go fast on the straights, but you’ll probably go the same speed through majority of the corners because you’re only as fast as your skill level.
I also don’t suggest being reckless on the street, but hey, that’s your decision. Everyone knows the risks.
When I was deciding what track bike I wanted, I picked the 400 because I wanted to really learn how to ride on track, as it is completely different from street riding. And honestly, it only really feels a bit sluggish on the straights. I’d suggest taking your 400 to the track before changing bikes, especially if you have just started riding. You’ll learn a lot.
      Good luck man!

@@alexandros_moto My goal is usually just to be the fastest on the road. Lane splitting, redlining every gear, running reds, antagonizing the police. Just yypical squid 🦑 behaviors. I like riding daily as I live in Florida and it’s not realistic to ride the track everyday. Watching the homies hit the long sweeping corners on the interstate at 130 just makes me see just how much slower I am. Even if I am flying into the corners. And the more I ride the more I feel the limitations of the 400. Like the front end feels so.. basic. I’m trying to dive the hell out of these corners but idk, it just doesn’t cut like I want it no matter what I try. Great intro bike for the price but in my heart I just have the 636 calling to me 😅
