    These Wranglers are the most customizable vehicles in the market, and many reliability issues stem from owner modifications. Nowhere else will you see so many different products and robust aftermarket support for an off-road platform.

    Good video. Wranglers are the most fun vehicles I’ve ever owned. Not the most reliable, definitely not the cheapest or most fuel-efficient, but the smiles per gallon are unparalleled. And they hold resale value very well and always have.

    My first jeep was a 1952 willys and right now i own a 2021 jl. Like any vehicle if you take care of basics on time you very rarely get into issues, unless u got a lemon. For a 4x4 i won't even consider anything else for the price range.

      Let’s be real: it’s a Fiat Jeep. Which is OK, I plan to buy one too. But Italian engineers are not renowned for their work, apart from Ferrari and Lamborghini… and both of those aren’t well known for their reliability, either.
      If you go into the purchase knowing that there’s a real risk of issues (especially with the newer diesel powertrain which is unproven) you’ll almost certainly be happy overall. But it’s not like the old straight 6 engine that was virtually bulletproof.

  • @richardmiller3808

    Anything you buy will have it’s pluses and minuses. For the overall owner satisfaction which depends on what you use your jeep for depends up to the individual themselves. Even in its most basic form the Jeep Wrangler is still the most capable vehicles for off-road use out there.

    It costs jeep 15k to build a wrangler unlimited. The entire frame and body is purchased by jeep at 2k each. Goes the same for the new 100k wagoneer. 2k each from their supplier. The mark up is astronomical. Then the dealer wants another 5-8k for being a middle man. The greed today is why everything is so overpriced

    Listing the MSRPs is nice, and technically correct, but it is where your Jeep starts, not where it finishes...you will (inevitably) need to add options...if you don't have options, you have a really plain, almost useless, vehicle. And they way Jeep packages their trims, all 13 of them, you are going to need to add options/packages to get stuff you would think comes standard on something costing $40K+...the (LED) Lighting package for instance, not even a standard item on the Sahara trim. Safety, Infotainment, Towing, Tops, etc. It is easy to add $4k-6k in options

    Anyone have issues with the 850re 8 speed auto? Like always searching for gears? Whine in deceleration from 50, 35 and 25?
    Feels like engine braking when slowing down. Jeep says it’s characteristic of that trans. I’m just waging for it to lock up or something crazy.

    • @MS-it9vv
      @MS-it9vv 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think: it’s an Indian vehicle. Their vehicles are known for being small and underpowered for US markets, and I can’t imagine that parts and service are cheap and prevalent unless you live right near a Mariners dealer. Even then, you’re probably looking a substantial time and cost if something major goes wrong. And diesel repairs are usually a bit beyond the abilities of most at-home mechanics.

    Interesting since resale for ancient jeeps is through the roof. Yeah, there is a chip problem for all American vehicles in 2021 so inventory is needed but I don’t think it’s being given a fair shake. These vehicles get beat to crap perhaps that’s why reliability is in the hole. 🙊😜

      I'd love to have one, but hearing about stupid issues and corrosion under paint early in the life... you'd think Jeep being so old would have made a bullet proof vehicle by now. Hoping the Bronco (truck Bronco not out yet) is much better. I'd love a jeep, but stupid issues are not what I want to deal with in harsh NE winters. I'll still watch Jeep and maybe end up with one, but not if I don't start hearing about corrections.

      I found out that many people are doing 3 year leases on the Wranglers which makes the monthly payments low and therefore more affordable then purchasing. I wondered myself why there were so many on the road at $50,000 a pop. I'm not poor, but I just couldn't justify for myself a $1000 per month Jeep payment for 8 years. I love those Jeeps though.
