This is studio trigger , one of the best animation studios in existence. This animation style is 100% up their alley and no expense was spared. That’s part of the reason why it won anime of the year. This is some of the best animation you’re ever going to see
Noir and the cyberpunk genre share a lot of tropes so make your mind a sunless space is all I'm going to say on the matter ; )

The style of the animation is actually the style with the company Studio Trigger. They did 'Kill la Kill' and 'Darling in the Franx' for comparison. They are well known for over-the-top anime styles, and it actually fits really well that they were the animators for this project.
Also reminds me of FLCL & Gurren Lagann anime style :P

Love this series - its totally up there with Arcane. Warning - it gets heavier as it goes. But amazing characters and story... (and yeah, Cyberpunk is a scifi development of Noir - its dark.) Keeping my sub for sure :) (cant sub twice...)

‼️‼️Watch the animes with their original audio‼️‼️ almost everyone knows that English dubbing tends to be very bad, not to mention that many times they change character dialogues (that is, the translation is bad) as well as censor character dialogues for be "very provocative" 😐 and another thing is that the voice acting tends to leave a lot to be desired on several occasions, that is, whether in moments of anger, laughter or anger, the voices in English fail to reach the level of expressiveness that the Japanese or what is shown on the screen (that is, the characters)
That leg bouncing is not a form of 'self-soothing' but rather an obvious sign of anxiety. Bouncing the leg does not 'soothe' or ease anxiety. In fact, in certain situations, it can exacerbate anxiety.

the english dub is very good and fits night city and the different ethnicities way better than everyone being japanese.
The English dub is the recommended viewing experience.

@@moshimanju7576 Everyone who isn't a hopeless weeb. Even most standard-issue weebs agree that English is the better experience for this particular anime. It's like Cowboy Bebop in that regard. It's a western setting that benefits from the dub.
