The way you fought Smasher is actually pretty close to how Jensen would actually fight him. He would spend the time to analyze how Smasher fights, and then use the best possible strategy, even if it was looked at as underhanded and broke traditional rules. With how his Nano-Blades are formed, I wouldn't put it past him for those blades to easily shred Smasher's armor. Watch him easily get the drop and then shank Smasher through the brain.
This was an excellent video man.. I appreciate that u briefly went over the gigs and side missions.. usually when I see these kinds of challenge videos, people jus go over the main story and nothing else
Thanks Mike! I was considering chopping all of that out since there was so much of it and I wasn’t sure if people cared, but I’m glad I decided to leave it in and will do so in future videos
This is actually kinda funny, because while I was playing CP2077, I was cosplaying as Adam Jensen. Dark greatcoat and clothes, shades, got the face as close as I could, all of it. I just couldn't think of a better persona to take into Night City - surely can't use my own, since CDPR were (understandably) unable to implement the canonical biomodifications you can do. Malorian 3516 is still my favorite gun.
For the Glados thing, yeah, I had a feeling they were direct line from Portal the more I listened, they sounded less like voiced lines speaking to V and more like lines from the game being played in response to V talkin if that makes sense lol
I think the reason you did not see many of the bugs is that most of the bugs that are large effect the side content over the main content. As you said you mostly focused on main quests during your first playthough. Thus avoiding most the bugs that happen on all the side quest stuff.
I’m glad there’s still some people who’ve played and seen Deus Ex, I haven’t played Human Revolution but I played the shit out of Mankind Divided, looking back it’s why I was so interested in Cyberpunk to begin with when the hype was building.
I’ll be 100% honest with you, I’ve never played any of the Adam Jensen Deus Ex games, my only Deus Ex game is Deus Ex 2. This video is just a product of a ton of research and love for the character
You got one thing wrong: Johnny won't just get to live for 6 months, he'll be able to live much longer than that, at least in theory. Alt told us that the reason why V only has 6 months is because her body has already been altered in order to fit Johnny's DNA. Therefore, her body sees V as an intruder and tries to excise her from its system, subsequently killing her. Since the relic's alteration of V's body had already progressed quite far, she only has around 6 months before she'll die. Johnny, on the other hand, can live longer than that since his DNA fits the body. Thus it won't reject him and he won't die after 6 months.
Adam is exactly who i based my Nomad Ronin playthrough on. Badass, stealthy & sick af. Throwing Knife for stealth, Archangel Revolver for goin loud & my Byakko katana & arm launcher if SHTF. Was a Legendary Solo before act 2 was half over.
Depending on your definition of "best," there's an ending for Unleash the Beast (the racing sidequest) where she forgives the guy. You have to tell her you're in it for the race beforehand, but still follow him when she tells you to; then, when you say "revenge doesn't fix anything," she listens to you.
I got an idea for a MGSV Challenge Can you beat MGSV as Santa? AKA Throwables only Rules Only items in the subweapon wheel can be used Reflex mode is allowed But every time you complete a mission you must give an enemy base a Jeep as a present And if you can skip Slalanthorpus {you know who I'm talking about] but you have to do a Quiet exit to make up for it
I was really surprised at Oda being such a pushover in my game. I figured if I was being attacked by an honourable samurai I should use a katana to fight him. Very good looking 15 seconds, that.
On PC, there’s a mod where you can get Adam Jensen’s arms and, I believe outfit as well. I think it’s called Arasaka Arms? I just couldn’t use it because I’m on Xbox
Awesome run, but from what i understand, if you give your body to johnny he can live for way longer since the relic turned your body into his. thats why you have 6 months in that ending if you keep it, alt says "degradation" regarding what "your soul" can do in that situation, thats why she suggest to go with her since "the body is his"
If that’s the case, I’m happy for him! He got out of Night City, learned his lesson seemingly and appreciated the sacrifice, and hopefully chose the quiet life this time lol
There are mods with which you can even have Adams arms. ;) And it would also be possible to make the Mantis blade only for one arm... there is so much possible with mods. I realized so many stuff for myself that I really wanted in the game and I had not that much modding experience before. If you learn some stuff (WolvenKit, Blender, TweakXL) you can do a LOT!
Unfortunately I’m on Xbox, but you’re absolutely right, especially with popular games like Cyberpunk if you look for a certain mod, odds are you’ll actually find something
Thanks, I appreciate that! A lot of times, challenges like this aren’t too bad, but man! Months later and I still remember how challenging but fun this was
If you want to cheese yourself some more skills points in the future you can use the tech skill tree by adding in this order: All Things Cyber, Glutton for War, and Health Freak, then remove in this order: All Things Cyber, Health Freak(should give an extra point unless patched, I did it in 2.02 with dlc) Glutton for War, make sure to max them out 🧀🐁
This video was absolutely amazing! Watched the whole thing in a binge. Left that lucky like. And can't wait for more. And yes, Jensen would absolutely destroy Smasher. Or should I say Adam could definitely beat Adam. But then again.. Adam has some abilities that give him a advantage on Adam 😏
Thanks for the kind comment and support! More coming! As for Adam v Adam, Jensen winning was the consensus I saw online, but I’m glad I could “prove” it kinda and that I stuck it out!
Crazy thing. I'm playing cyberpunk right now with this playing in the background. And just as you mention getting robbed... I was doing the exact same side job
I love all of those ideas for the cyberpunk cosplay runs, maybe i am a bit biased because recently i've been playing the robocop movie, but i'm curious how you would play the part man part machine in cp2077 Maybe the easiest choice is have him as a corpo at the beggining
Oh for sure! Not only are there several Robo Cop references in Cyberpunk, but the recent Robo Cop Rogue City game did drum up a little hype from me for sure!
If you are talking about the Militech Apogee, it's actually in the base game. But the DLC is worth it anyway, since there is more iconic Cyberware from the black market.
Oh for sure, I’m pretty sure you can do most of the game without getting hit and with the starting pistol according to the Abraham Sandwich videos, so all challenges should, in theory, be possible
Oof, bad news on that one Corpo you saved from the cops: if you dig into the case with some of the dialog options, it's all but confirmed that the police were beating the guy up because he used an XBD to essentially drug a girl for nefarious purposes. So, maybe not the best decision in that case. Also, for The Beast in Me, there is arguably a better ending than what you got. It requires you to tell Claire that you're only interested in racing to win when she reveals the real reason she's in the races. When you get to the last race, you follow the Corpo like you did and then, when you try to convince Claire to walk away, she'll actually listen to you. You get to remain friends with Claire, she doesn't have the guilt over killing the guy on her conscience, and you get both Beast from Claire AND the Cthulhu from the Corpo guy as a reward, for free Really like this idea of doing Cyberpunk runs as different characters for the load outs and looks, though.
Damn, that’s crazy! That both sucks because finding that truth out would be perfect for Adam, but that’s also really cool since it adds more depth to that one-off encounter. As for the Cthulu, yeah, I watched a video rating all Cyberpunk vehicles on a tier list while editing and found that out. I’m glad I was still friends with Claire, but wish I could’ve gotten Cthulu (Sampson’s kinda mid anyway lmao) Thanks homie, plan to do more in the future!

Yeah, I think the build was fine and the Cyberware, weapon, and clothing restrictions weren’t that big a deal, the biggest challenge was just Cyberpunk 2.0 on Very Hard lol
I like the Deus Ex cyberware system, but I will say that Cyberpunk’s got better than it was at launch after 2.0, more diversity and closer to Deus Ex now
Awesome to hear! I hope you enjoy Cyberpunk man, it’s an incredibly solid game if the bugs aren’t an issue, like a Bethesda game, and it can scratch that Deus Ex itch!
Hilariously enough with Oda, if you manage to use camo to go into stealth a few times and sneak up on him, you can get a fairly easy takedown finisher and win the fight with little to no trouble
Honestly I wouldn't even call it cheesing, moreso using what Jensen would probably canonically use to his advantage (the nonexistent attention spans of bosses and his cloaking tech)@@redfoxrpg
@@redfoxrpg nah my head canon is that Smasher is just Jensen after the events of original Deus Ex game from 2000. Who got somehow recruited into working for Illuminati (thnx Mankind Divided for this). That also can explain why Smasher is fine being 98% chrome

.....This man was summoning something with all those bloody numbers in his descriptions. Like damn fam. I can respect the commitment to detail, but the numbers just started blending for me.
Essentially immune to cyberpsycosis, and pretty much ALL augmentation tech from Deus Ex outclasses anything Cyberpunk has. Adam could tear Smasher to shreds and not even consider it a warmup. Also in canon the Sarif tech cloak and experimental augmentations practically border on magic even compared to cyberpunk tech. I'd love to see a mod that manages to port over all of it somehow.
It’d be cool if the hypothetical mod had a lore accurate mod for an authentic experience and then a scaled version since I doubt the authentic version would be all that fun after the novelty wore off lol
OOO, I dunno if that'll be next (I'll probably do a poll of the top suggestions here), but that's a FANTASTIC idea! I'm pretty sure there's even a Predator reference in PL iirc
Recently stumbled upon you, would love to see a Dimension W. I doubt it'd be reasonably feasible as Mabuchi, but it'd be fun to see whatever you pull from there.
Side note from about 9 30, pretty much all the bugs had been taken care of by 1.5(ish) and 1.6 was a major upgrade with streamlining and such. You started the first time when it was pretty much where it needed to be. And then 2.0 hit
Ah yeah, that makes sense: 1.5 fixed all the major bugs in the OG version, 1.6 polished everything off, but then 2.0 changed the whole game, so they’ll have to work out all the bugs again
Jensen can't be hacked because all of his automatics are directly interfaced with his central nervous system and body. There's no outside interface options no signal or receiver to hack. So you gotta go in the old fashioned way. Which jensen can match step for step at adam smasher level of augmentation. Against the big boys like smasher and black hand, those are boss fights on hard. Against everyone else, they are barely even speed bumps
@@BigdaddyBigfoot-km9hr yeah, Jensen’s a mech soldier, so it’s all hardware, nothing to hack through a signal, and on the inverse side, JC Denton and his nanomachine are WAY too advanced for Cyberpunk tech to get into save maybe Blackwall AI, and that’s a pretty big maybe. Smasher’s borg’d out to the nines with state of the art, top of the line ICE and has every and any defense and Blackhand’s a chrome minimalist which in of itself is one of the best defenses
The only thing I DONT like about Claire, she manipulated V into joining the race. What I do like, you open her eyes to moving on. It'd be nice if you could hang out with your friends in Cyberpunk besides just seeing her in the Afterlife
@@Dreadguard yeah, everyone in NC has their problems and are even willing to do some pretty terrible things, but a rare few people like V and Jackie and Claire and a couple others are good(?) people left to deal with the hand they were dealt
@@redfoxrpg I agree. Those three are some great people you get to meet within the game. As for others, it's hard to name a notable few more just due to how much story there is. Takemura has a good set of morals and values as well. He knows the injustice Yorinobu commuted on Saburo so, he wants it exposed. Johnny, even though he was a narcissistic prick, changes for the better after being in V's brain case for so long
The father and son in Dirty Biz actually did scroll the BD's. You find out in phantom liberty. Quite hiiden in a random conversation shard but it's there.
Maaaaaan… FUCK THOSE GUYS! I don’t know if I should kill them in my next vigilante-style or hero-style playthrough without having that information or whether I should let them live since my character wouldn’t know without going to Dogtown first
You can do play through as Robocop. Only Liberty pistol as weapon, because that is close in look if you compare it to Auto-9. No running, crouching or hiding behind cover, only stiff walking with no sudden movement allowed. In perks you get Body, Cool and Engineering to boost damage from pistols and make character tanky. Even with maximum armour stat you will die a loot because lack of movement. Probably impossible to beat Adam Smasher on Hard mode.
Wow, that sounds pretty tough! I’ll see what I can do, might have to change some things up to make it possible but I like the distinct lack of mobility. Something I didn’t mention in the video, but I never killed a cop unless I had to and never stole a vehicle and tried my best not to harm civilians, so I like gameplay-affecting role playing choices
Definitely, especially with both the popularity of the character, his being one of my favorite 2077 era characters, and all the dozens of builds for him including the in-game equipment
Hell no, not only did I not do the audio in one take, I had to record the entire thing, dozens of mistakes in all, twice because of recording errors. That said, thanks so much! I’m glad you enjoyed!
At the end of the day, don’t be too afraid to spec up Adam’s build in however you like. Doesn’t matter if Adam here can do the double jump rather than the hold-jump ability that he does in Mankind Divided. Doesn’t matter if he can use multiple quick hacks here rather than just one wireless quick hack he can do in Mankind Divided. Doesn’t matter if he understands technical stuff that would make Pritchard blush because his intelligence is at level 20 unlike his actual intelligence in Deus Ex (which is mainly basic at best). This is a different universe, so you can make up whatever story you want with why Adam is different from his canon part. As long as the cosmetic is met and the rule of cool is followed, this Adam can be whatever you like him to be. His personality can even be different because he didn’t suffer the way he suffered in the first game, so don’t be afraid to make him cruel, a saint, or agreeing to Johnny Silverhand’s ideal.
@@atlasprime6193 agreed, concessions have to be made in some regards because it’s a different game/world, but in some instances, you also just have a lot of different equally correct options to choose from. That’s why I love RPGs so much!

With these two augmentations yeah unfortunately Atom smasher is nothing more than a walking junk pile on legs.
all this needed was a gross yellow filter over the gameplay for the true jensen experience

Thanks man, that makes me feel better about how things went down!

You might be on to something there, probably also has to with the major game overhaul too

In my experience the best way to beat Oda is with a melee build. Just start hitting him and never let him breathe
Yeah, after my experience with Adam, I can DEFINITELY see I should’ve given the Nanoblades more than one attempt
I was really surprised at Oda being such a pushover in my game. I figured if I was being attacked by an honourable samurai I should use a katana to fight him.
Very good looking 15 seconds, that.
To be fair this version of future does seem like the type where you'd need an adblocker for your scope.
Deadass tho, “to remove advertisements from your scope, please purchase the premium subscription from Arasaka for $24.99 a month”
I wish someone would create a mod with Adam Jensen's cyberware with that sleek design.
On PC, there’s a mod where you can get Adam Jensen’s arms and, I believe outfit as well. I think it’s called Arasaka Arms? I just couldn’t use it because I’m on Xbox
I'd love to see the payday as jacket build that sound great
Wow, wasn’t sure if that one would be one people were interested in! I’ll see what I can do, homie
The fact he already has swords inside his arms as standard
It’s actually quite nice to see a moderately more casual challenge run.

If you are talking about the Militech Apogee, it's actually in the base game.
But the DLC is worth it anyway, since there is more iconic Cyberware from the black market.
I mean, u can beat cyberpunk as a normal guy with a baseball bat so
Oh for sure, I’m pretty sure you can do most of the game without getting hit and with the starting pistol according to the Abraham Sandwich videos, so all challenges should, in theory, be possible
You get to remain friends with Claire, she doesn't have the guilt over killing the guy on her conscience, and you get both Beast from Claire AND the Cthulhu from the Corpo guy as a reward, for free
Really like this idea of doing Cyberpunk runs as different characters for the load outs and looks, though.
I’m glad I was still friends with Claire, but wish I could’ve gotten Cthulu (Sampson’s kinda mid anyway lmao)

Yeah, I think the build was fine and the Cyberware, weapon, and clothing restrictions weren’t that big a deal, the biggest challenge was just Cyberpunk 2.0 on Very Hard lol
Sad part is that Deus Ex cyberware looked better and more differentiated even thought ten years older.

True, same with Adam, but I didn’t want to cheese them, which is ironic considering how both fights ended up
Honestly I wouldn't even call it cheesing, moreso using what Jensen would probably canonically use to his advantage (the nonexistent attention spans of bosses and his cloaking tech)@@redfoxrpg
This gives me a good excuse to try a more hack based build, and use the corpo lifepath.
Netrunner builds look dope as hell in TH-cam videos, and I like a lot of the Corpo path dialogue options

Lemme know how it goes for you!
The next Cyberpunk 2077 video should be can You Beat Cyberpunk 2077 as the 1987 Predator.

Ah yeah, that makes sense: 1.5 fixed all the major bugs in the OG version, 1.6 polished everything off, but then 2.0 changed the whole game, so they’ll have to work out all the bugs again
Best ending for Claire's racing quest is to convince her not to kill Luigi. She lets go of her revenge and you get both the Beast and Cthulhu cars.
I’ll do it next run, I was told by others in the comments that I have to deny helping her with her plan instead of agreeing like I did
Jensen can't be hacked because all of his automatics are directly interfaced with his central nervous system and body.

Would've been great if CDPR put a Deus Ex easter egg in CP 2077.
Seriously! The two games are like genre defining cyberpunk style games!
Ah greatest rivalry of them all, Adam vs Jensen
May the best Adam win lol
