Bought a 65" C3 a few months ago for $1500 bucks and absolutely LOVE IT. The 10% increase in brightness is NOT worth the huge price difference. Just turn the brightness up to 100 on my C3 and the picture is AMA-A-AZING!!!!
what u gonna do with more brightness in every year? i am using C1 65inches and G3 77( recently purchased)- i can say G3 is over bright panel which sometimes pins into my eyes so i keep the brightness lower. C1 is absolutely amazing in terms of brightness and colors. both TVs has lower sound volume.
@@FlyingFamily Your C1 is still solid rock. Before getting this C3, I was using a 5 year oldish LG model from Costco for PC gaming: 4K, 65", 60hz, smart, and it was still amazing. I only got the C3 for the 120hz. Oh and the low light reflection which is a big plus. I'd never upgrade from C1 to C3.
Hey sir! New subscriber all away from 🇨🇦 So for either Cyber Monday up to Boxing Day, I am planning to upgrading my TV from 2019 LED to this model. Mainly wanted to upgrade my TV for the refresh rate, but ended up going beyond for OLED because of the how good the levels are on my iPhone. Also keep up the great content btw!
Just saw this tv and the LG G4 in person at Bestbuy today just to see if it’s that much better. It wasn’t even a contest in my opinion. It had the most stunning and incredible picture I’ve ever seen. Btw, I own a C2 tv as well. I made up my mind to get the G4 for a few hundred dollars more. I’ll wait a few weeks for a sale as long as I have it before football season. I recently learned that LG ships their tvs with power saving mode on. So turn it off for a better picture !
Purchased my 65" C4 for $1799. Military Exchange dropped the price further to $1599 no tax. Got the price match and can't believe I was able to get the TV so cheap.
Would love to see you review some larger TVs 77in to 85in and maybe compare mid range large TV to high end smaller TV and see even though they cost the same what the difference is. Cheers Paul love the channel mate.
I do like your videos, very straightforward and intelligible to the average consumer. I'm very much looking forward to the comparison video, LG C4 vs C3. I'm debating in my head whether the approximate £500 difference (currently) is worth it.
Hi Paul, currently I have the Cx from 2020. Looking at upgrading to the 48” C4, I can’t really go bigger in my space currently so I’m not looking at the G series. Is it a reasonable upgrade from what I have?
Paul, Maybe for budget TVs test out Hisense, TCL, Sharp and the like. This said some good budget models from LG and Samsung and you could then get 3 from the same brand budget, mid and high and compare to see if the extra cost is worth it, or does it become negligible
The best thing about the C4 is that there's very little reason to buy one over a C3 which you can now pick up for just over a grand at 55". Currys Clearance on eBay at the 65" for £1070 this morning.
@@XYZ-ef3mo The 55" C3 at Hughes is the best I've seen by a long way. Considerably cheaper than my refurb C3 from Currys which cost me £919 last March.
Hey Paul- These oled tv panels are durability is not good. I recently shift the house and called LG to packed the TV in its original box(thermacol inside) they packed we shifted and found lots of scratch marks on the panel and those are from thermacol. now LG is saying they won't cover this under warranty. who will keep a plastic which was pasted on the brand new panel?
@@gangs0846 I like it a lot. Don’t know what 3D pop is but the brightness is really good. I had the C3 before this but returned it since the C4 came out within my return period. Better brightness for sure. One has to fiddle a bit with the options to crank the brightness up. Energy saving mode off and other settings. After that, I have no complaints about the brightness. Works just fine in daylight. Can’t speak of the S90C though, haven’t seen it. Both are probably totally fine. You should fiddle around with the remote control and the user interface for both brands since they are a bit different. I like the LG remote’s point and shoot feature. The OLED quality is amazing. Deep blacks, movies look fantastic in filmmaker mode. All the apps works great, fast to turn on, easy to install, the list goes on. I have ordered the 77 inch since it was on a really good launch sale with cashback, just as my 65”. I think I’ll regret not getting the 77 inch tbh.
Tech Giant: I think you neglected to mention that the C4 can now serve as the “centre channel” with the use of a compatible LG sound bar? I think it is called “concert mode” or something similar?
Tech Giant: Does the C4 support, or will it soon support, IMAX Enhanced DTS-X sound quality as Disney+ has just released this format for “Queen Rock Montreal” and for some other movies?
@TheTechGiantTH-cam Hi Paul, i would like you to do a head to head between the LG G4 your getting and the Samsung S95d as that was my choices for this year for a new TV, eventually I picked the G4 in a 77" but with the current issues with the G4 namely video through, hdmi 2 (eARC)for some people. wondering if I made the better choice🤔seeing my first G4 screen was faulty from the get go. Got it replaced but it buzz killed that new TV feeling
Can get a 55" C3 from Hughes for £859. Can get the 55" C4 from LG for only £930. Is the C4 worth the extra £71? Does the C4 have a green tint - my biggest worry?
There is, you have to set your tv to always ready then when you press the power off button on remote once it will show up. I think that’s what you are talking about.
Massive price drop. On LG website 55" C4 is £930. £999 - 2% members discount - 5% welcome discount = £930.07. With 5 year warranty. From Peter Tyson - LG USC 9S soundbar £479 down from £999! Priced £499 - £10 welcome discount - £10 goodwill= £479.
Hey there. I just bought the C4 a few days ago. Before buying it I was also looking at a TCL tv, it looked amazing in the store but it is an unknown brand for a lot of people (in the Netherlands). Is it maybe possible to do a review of the TCL tv? I am genuinly curious how it holds up. The price was 1500 euros for a tv that in first glance I was ready to pay 2000 if that was the price. Im still wondering if I made a mistake by not buying it. Good luck with your videos!!

Mid range tv tests are interesting because they are affordable for many people and good as well...
👍
What about the Green Tint of Doom though, that folks are talking about 🤔 Does it exist, or is it a myth
If you calibrate your tv I’m sure it will disappear

Is there colour banding on the C4?
Any difference as you go up in screen size?
