🏆 Which problem mentioned in the video is most important to you as a car owner? 🤔 🔴2024 Ford Ranger Has The Other Mid-Size Players Crapping In Their Pants 👉 th-cam.com/video/ObJRxBgNe94/w-d-xo.html
The only ones I would care about is the collision avoidance features and the annoying stop/start feature. Fortunately the former is a option and the later can be programmed out with a simple reprogram. The cabin noise can be rectified easily and inexpensively. The rest you mentioned are all associated with their excellent off road capability.
While all vehicle’s have faults some of the things mentioned in this video are precisely why I like the Gladiator. The driveline is more durable than any other midsize truck. 4WD is manually activated - no electrical solenoid switches to fail. The 3.6 L in standard form is the simplest and most rugged engine compared to the competition - no turbo’s, port not direct injection - and the optional 8-speed ZF auto trans is widely regarded as possibly the best mass produced transmission in the world. The brakes are superb. The off-road capability is unmatched. Hopefully Stellantis keeps these rugged features in future vehicles and avoids complicating the driveline. Owners do NOT want hybrid 4 cylinders or switch operated 4WD systems or independent front suspensions.
We just bought a 22 Gladiator overland with 12K miles. It has a soft top. We are in our 60's and absolutely love it. We have no complaints with any of the points he brought up in the video. We find that it steers and rides quite well, and is very comfortable. As far as room, my 6'4" son rode in the passenger seat and was quite comfortable. I am 6 foot and do not find the interior cramped at all. We recently rode in a newer Tacoma crew cab and found it to be very cramped (wife in the back and me up front) and poor ride quality. With the soft top, on a very windy day, yes it can get a little noisy but that doesn't bother us. It's all part of the experience. These things are all subjective and depends on your own personal needs for a truck. We don't have a need for a full size truck.
My husband is 6'2 and fits fine in the front and back seats. It was a nice surprise after trying out other midsized trucks where he felt like he had to hunch in it.
@@danoesq2 It does seem that critics of Gladiators and Wranglers -- I'm not talking about the other Jeeps, just these 2 that still LOOK like the "classic" Jeeps -- simply repeat lame/baseless myths they hear from other people who don't know anything about Jeeps, either. So the erroneous criticisms continue -- sloppy steering, rough ride on the hwy, always in the shop (etc.) -- as they won't listed to the facts. Plus, Jeeps are still WAY up high on the list for resale value. Why if they're crap? Are they perfect? No. Are there some issues? Yes, but no other brand is free of issues, either. Ask Ford, Mazda, BMW, GM, Nissan -- and "the best" Toyota...not lately though, are they. It seems Jeep critics are in one of these categories: -- never owned one. -- never driven one. -- driven/owned an older one. -- can't afford one (and so suffer from Sour Grapes syndrome -- they're angry at Jeep). In reality though, the current model Jeep Wranglers/Gladiators (again, not talking about the Jeep Liberty, Compass, Grand Cherokee, whatever) -- meaning 2018+ Wrangler JLs and 2020+ Gladiator JTs -- are the best Jeeps have ever been. If I needed to buy a new vehicle today (and still had to stick to he mid-size segment only, as I do), I'd get another Gladiator (Rubi)...but I agree the prices are still insane. Yet so are a lot of other new "specialty/performance" trucks regardless of brand. "Jeep Wave" (It's a Jeep Thing) -- BR (2021 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon)...which wants to move back to CO. ;-)
In California living through the atmospheric storms with 2-3 feet of water in the streets and mudslides. My Mojave Gladiator thrived while others were stranded.
@@micjakes1 And it was when Covid was bad and he had to wait 4 months to get a part for it… He was steaming mad but other than that he liked the vehicle. He traded it though recently
I was gonna say the same thing when he mentioned road noise... I don't hear Jack shit compared to my 2007 trailblazer 😂 my Chevy I couldn't talk on the highway and the Jeep I can whisper on the highway with my deaf girlfriend and she can hear me no problem but when we're in the Chevy I gotta yell
What kind of girly man starts off a list of complaints about a truck with ride quality? Payload capacity- legit. Factory installed oil leak- legit. That it hurts your mangina going over bumpiewumpies is some weak sauce.
Honestly, I much prefer the ride, you can actually feel things in my '22 glad Rubicon Diesel, it gets a little more cushy ride hauling water over weight, but you can hardly notice any squat. I ordered mine pretty sparse, just the stuff I wanted, the diesel was ~10k it would have been below 50k without that
I kinda think my Mojave has super comfy ride quality 🤷♂️ I've taken several long road trips in the year I've had it and not had a single complaint other than noisy cabin. But....I BOUGHT A JEEP! If I wanted a quiet cabin I'd buy something else.
I didn't buy a Jeep for ride comfort, safety features, technology, mpg's, interior comfort 😂 I bought it to do what other vehicles can't do. Nothing but smiles per gallon here 🤙🏽
Every road princess: "I want this cool looking Jeep! Oh I just can't believe how noisy it is and I get uncomfortable commuting from my garage to my air conditioned office. And these "massive off road tires, I can't".... What b.s!! Buy an Audi if comfort and road handling is what you want
I purchased a 2022 Diesel Rubicon Gladiator about a year ago to flat tow behind our motorhome. We do light off roading these days and mainly highway miles. Besides the road noise we couldn't be happier. It easily handled the 35" tires without a lift. Just knowing you have the best vehicle for off roading means a lot! Since 1999, this is our 3rd new Jeep. We love this one and we'll be keeping it for many years.
i also have the 22 diesel rubicon JT. i love it but the suspension is not adequate for the motor. it bottoms out in the city even with the fix and i do drive it within expectations of the law :) i love the truck otherwise and i am sure i will love it much more after a new suspension... the brakes are incredible! one thing they don't mention is the fact that the JT has a boxed frame vs, toyota's c channel. there is a big difference in strength. also, the rubicon has a great drivetrain. it all factors into the cost if we look deeper into it. all these trucks shown cost too much, ours cost more because of what we are getting under the skin.
@@PROXIMO22 I was a Beta tester for Clayton front springs. They raised the front up about 1 inch. The springs has an increase in spring rate too. Made the ride better. Now, I have Clayton 3.5" springs in the rear. The front has clayton 2.5" diesel springs with the JKS hydro bump stops with the adjustable spring seat. This gives about 4" of lift in the front. The JT sits level now, Also installed Core 4x4 control arms and track bar.
@@Hannibalmiles8494 The recall just came out this summer. Only about 1% of the owners had problems with the fuel pump. Stellantis is replacing all the CP4 fuel pumps in both the Ram trucks and Jeeps. Mine goes in this Wednesday. Only takes about 2.5 hrs to replace it. I have 34,000 trouble free miles on my JT.
I was curious, How well do they hull stuff? I am interested in getting one, but in the future I'll probably want to hull stuff like a camper, or other stuff, but not sure how it'd handle it.
@@TruthSeeker9038'22 Rubicon Diesel here, it hauls and tows just fine. Depending on what you want to tow, you can get a factory trailer brake controller despite what this video says. The only thing I could make note of, it's narrower than a full size pickup(whatever that means anymore) so if your trailer is wide, your mirror view might be questionable
I bought one last September, been to southern UT twice, I think it rides pretty smooth both on and off road, off course it doesn't drive down the highway like most newer cars but no one expects it to, off course it is not as quiet as most newer cars but no one expects it to be that quiet. I'm over 60 and wish I had bought the first year 4 door Wrangler Rubicon when it came out. Every time I drive it, I wish I had bought one sooner. I'm six feet tall and I can sit comfortably in the back seat with the front seats all the way back, I can't do that in a ZR2 or a Taco (even a new one with rear disc brakes). I see other suv's & mid sized trucks and they would be nice, but they don't have articulation, and they will never be a RUBICON.
We bought a 2023 JT and traded in a 2012 JK that was tougher than a boot. The 3.6L in it was great and yeah it isn't as cushy as some of the IFS suspension pickups but I wanted a strong frame and solid front old school axle. It is the swiss army knife I was looking for and will do everything I ask of it and more. Great pickup !
Literally the best truck I have ever owned, so many uses... it's amazing in bad snowy weather conditions... get a rack and its ready stock for overlanding, weekend getaways on the mountain bikes, kayak, DIY projects... this video made me angry because it misses the point of its intended users lifestyle 🤦♂😂
Jeep recently addressed the number one issue, which was price, by making drastic price cuts to move out the 2023 models. Ten-fifteen thousand off the list is what I've been seeing around here. As for the collision avoidance feature, I believe you can turn that off in the settings. And as for that insipid, auto start/stop, you can purchase an Auto Stop/Start Eliminator from a company out of WV to address that. I bought one for my Wrangler--it costs $100 and takes about 20 minutes to install!
Tacomas have horrible passenger space. I hated trying to get into the passenger seat of Tacomas when servicing them. I’m 5’6 so that says a lot for those of you 6 foot plus.
People who did these are not Jeep people....love my Gladdy!!! It's my daily driver plus I get off road. No disappointments....again, unless you're not a Jeep person.
Could have made this video RRALLY short; #1 reason people don't like the Jerp Galdiator: IT'S A JEEP, with all the qualities Jeepers LOVE about their vehicles. #1. Solid front axles; AWESOME articulation!!! (normal solid axle steering feel) #2. Fuel economy; while not great, as good as 4 bangers in Nissan and Toyota. (but it's a JEEP!!!!) #3. Five foot bed; It's not a work truck. (not that it was EVER meant to be) #4. Passenger room; bigger on the inside. If your want room, buy a work truck or luxury sedan. #5. UPGRADED interior features; digital, touch screen, electric seats, BUT IT'S STILL WATERPROOF!!!!!! (Warning: collision warning system requires lower sensitivity setting than most vehicles) #6. Road noise!!!!! If you want a quiet vehicle, get a luxury sedan. If you want THE MOST CAPABLE offraod vehicle, with removable top AND does, buy a Jeep. #7. Pricey, See #6. Also, retains value REALLY WELL!!!!!!
The Ram 2500 and 3500 has a solid front and rear axle as does the Ford F250 and F350 and I haven't heard people complain about it. I wish Chevy would have a solid front axle with lockout hubs on its trucks. I wish jeep would put lockout hubs on the wrangler and gladiator.
My daily driver last 8 yrs, 2011 Wrangler Rubicon 4dr lifted on 35's. I love it, ya feel every bump though. I did not think the Gladiator would make it long term when it came out b/c the long wheelbase and the rear overhang, aka breakover angle and departure angle. I live in CO and have been to Moab a few times offroading, you will see what I mean.
I've had my 2020 Gladiator Sport Max Tow for 4 years and I love it. It is everything I was looking for in a vehicle. We have 2 other Jeeps, a 2021 Wrangler 2 door that is my wife's daily driver and a 2011 Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited that is our camping/adventure vehicle, so we knew what to expect...and embrace it. It's not for everybody...
My local dealership loaned one of their 2023 Gladiators to me after my vehicle wasn’t finished getting warranty work done on a Friday. Smart move on their part because now I want to buy one. Even a review like this won’t deter me though. I see the points but all the pros still outweigh the cons. Pretty sweet ride! It performed really well on my local trails in central AZ.
I bought the 2020 Gladiator Rubicon, so I could add larger tires, have a high lift, so I can go where I want. I didn't get collision avoidance as I seen it as a nusance. The Rubicon should have come with either the 3.0 diesel or the 6.4l V8, and Dana 60 axles or Dana 60 front, Dana 80 rear, as well as at least a 4.5 inch lift, and a winch compatible front bumper, as standard features. Hear that Jeep?
That's a unicorn anyway. That is what everyone ends up with. Just ordered a stubby winch capable bumper, then next is the winch, followed by engine/transmission and transfer case skids. Maybe offroad Auxbeam lights and recovery gear, if I have left over money. Next year a lift, Steer Smart steering components, shocks, new tires. Just empty every pocket. Work lots of OT.@@thegenrl
The new Wranglers and Gladiators have a winch capable front bumper option. You can even get them with a Warn winch from the factory. The purpose of a lift is to allow the space for larger tires, they do nothing in of themselves to improve the cross over angles. The only thing that increases ground clearance are larger tires. The JTs can accommodate 35s without a lift and no need to re-gear..
And they did come in 3L diesel, I think I might have got one of the last in '22. I don't think they offered the 392 but all the wrangler folks were impressed
I bought a 2018 Dodge Challenger GT AWD to get me through the Pa winter weather. My feelings are that Jeeps are meant for offroad. I test drove a 2018 JLU in 2018 before I bought my Challenger. It had good power and was better than wranglers before it but for my purpose, Jeeps just don't do it unless you buy one as a weekend driver, My awd Challenger has great highway stability and is really quiet inside and gets me through the snow well. Jeeps are nosier and take more effort to drive at highway speeds. If I ever bought one, it would be a 10 year old one, used one for a low price. All that said, I think they're good vehicles but they aren't meant for comfort.
Get one with the soft top to enjoy the convertible top off feature of this unique pickup truck. That is what makes it unique. You need helpers to take off the hard top. If you drop the hard top, it will be an expensive mistake.
Ok I’m trying to have an open mind about this video, after buying a new 2024 Gladiator Sport S. Coming out of a 2019 Colorado Crew Cab 4x4 WT V6, we bought new, but we only keep them for 5-6 years anyway. Plus we wanted a Gladiator at first, but couldn’t find one after they were first released for under $48k with hard top, automatic and power windows, never mind telematics for under $55k! But this new one had a $15,700 discount listed at $52,400 so it was down to $36,700! But has everything we needed, including now a 12.3” screen and SOS911 telematics system. Not quite like the Chevys OnStar but close. So far though you listed the ride is bad? but mine rides like on a cloud compared with the Colorado! The only difference is the steering in the Colorado is much tighter and precise, plus the mileage is less in the Jeep. Acceleration seems similar but the Jeep has 3:75 gears to the Chevys 3:42. more to come in a while
I’d have to say the hardtop back window water leak is a kind of a major issue, especially if you’ve got the subwoofer and wireless speaker back there behind the rear seats. It’s been said that because of this defect if you have it replaced they’ll have to bust out the window and damage your hardtop, requiring refinishing of the top and also replacement with the exact same problematic type of window seal as the original, resulting in the exact same issue later on. I went with pushing 7mm silicone vacuum tubing into window seam with a credit card, but that’s kind of ghetto fix for such an expensive vehicle.
Love my 2023 Gladiator ❤ Would I like better gas mileage? Sure. Would I like a lower price? Sure. Do I care about passenger space, road noise or dash tech? Nope. Jeep Be Jeepin' 🎉
Simple built by the UAW that protects workers doing sloppy work. Watch is personally for 30 years and a worker doesn't have to care as they can not be fired for bad workmanship. Designs may not be perfect but workmanship is key.
Steering is vague because of the suspension setup Its live axle front and rear for better articulation, most 4x4s these days have independent suspension in one form or another As its live axle, you wont get rack and pinion steering. Youll get a steering box which is a tech that has been around for a very long time...yes its vague, but rack and pinion wont generally work in a live axle vehicle
Jeep does have an electric trailer brake controller that goes on the dashboard in the same place as the 12v outlet port. So you don't need to buy one that your legs or knees would hit.
Only think I don’t like about my Jeep Gladiator is the reduced apple CarPlay screen size. The touch screen saves the boarders for features like climate and jeep settings. Ride is soft Cabin is large Engine is powerful and fast,
Not know GMC Sierra at4x is $80,000 and is way worse on fuel than the jeep and I can get it for $30,000 less. Here in Canada pickup trucks are the most expensive on the market that is why I'm getting the Jeep gladiator
Every car has the same start/stop feature. It has to be turned off with each ignition. It’s government mandate and not exclusive to Jeep. Steering in my 23 is responsive and not loose. Noise is not worse with the upgraded sound reducers added. It rides fantastically coming from a prior Cadillac owner. It does have issue with death wobble on bumps above 65. That’s the biggest drawback and there are fixes for this. Solid axels are great but have some flaws. These things are pretty amazing.
If you want ride quality, quiet cabs and good gas mileage buy something other than a Jeep Wrangler or Gladiator. These 2 were made to go offroad not ride around in a mall parking lot. I've owned my 21 Gladiator for 3 yrs, 07 JKU for 7 yrs and a 00 TJ for 6 yrs and I have loved every gas guzzling mile I've driven them. Yes, they are not as roomy as others but that's just something you gotta live with to ride around topless and doorless. As for power, if I want more, I'd hemi swap it before I trade it in on another truck.
I love Jeeps but hate them too. It felt amazing and badass driving. I miss the removable roof and getting the sunshine. Knowing you can take it anywhere is comforting, and fun in the dirt and snow. BUT, the interior does feel a bit cramped. There is nowhere to comfortably place a phone mount without taking up a ton of room, and you have to get a higher end model for apple CarPlay for use of maps, as well as automatic windows and locks. Those features should be pretty basic for any entry level vehicle in 2024. My biggest complaint was the seat. My God. The seats were so hard, it felt like sitting on cement. I had to trade it in because it was causing my back injury to get much, much worse. The gladiator is appealing however. They're kinda ugly, but shoot, right now because nobody is buying them, you can get one for 10-15k under msrp, cheaper than most Wranglers or any trucks for that matter. Even cheaper than a little ford maverick! So you get a badass, off-road capable "truck" at the price of a sedan, essentially. Only thing holding me back is that gas mileage to be honest.
There are hundreds of venders that sell products to mount stuff on.. I installed a bar on my dash (made by Vector Offroad) that runs the full length of the dash. It bolts directly on the same posts that the dash itself uses. On it I use Ram Mounts to attach multiple Go-Pros, an iPad (for navigation), my iPhone, the drone controller (i can fly the drone while driving) and even a survival knife and an emergency EPIRB. All permanently plugged into the vehicles 12 volt power. In my JKU I can easily fit enough food, water, camping gear, tool, emergency equipment, rifles (and ammo) for two weeks in the bush. That includes a 50L ARB refrigerator.
This review is completely off, he has zero credibility whatsoever criticizing mid sized trucks, this interviewer definitely belongs behind the wheel of a Honda ridgeline, people don’t buy jeeps for a comfortable ride, the solid axles provide incredible suspension articulation that the competition won’t come close to, what a waste of time…
So dumb. I wouldn’t buy one that didn’t have a solid axle in the front. I’m on my second gladiator.my 21 overland had 33k decided to upgrade to the Mojave. I’ll prob buy a 3rd one eventually. I like trucks, not front drive(awd) car based garbage. No interest in a full size truck or a 4cyl turbo and I had wranglers so I gotta be able to take the top and doors off. This is all whiny crap, they are awesome. V8 would be nice but that’s all I’d change. Maybe 2 inch higher from factory too🤷🏻♂️
Price is the area where Stella tis fails. I managed to get decent deals on the two I have purchased. Upgrades are limited only by budget and comparing against full size trucks is irrelevant-the gladiator is NOT a fill size truck and not intended to be one and those full size models can’t go into all of the places the Jeep can.
The list of complaints here is ludicrous. 1. Ride quality. It's an off-roader and a truck. 2. Fuel economy. I agree. It normally gives me around 16.5 in the city and around 19 on the highway, but it's naturally aspirated with no nonsense. 3. Small bed. Long bed don't survive off road. It's plenty to carry your toys. 4. Passenger space. I have three teenagers and all fit okay even for long trips. 5. Interior packages. It's designed to be super spartan, not a Lexus or Porsche. 6. Trailer Brake controller. I agree. 7. Cabin Noise. Buy a Lexus. Is an off roader and a truck. 8. Price. Agree and dealers don't make it any easier. I got my Mojave fully spec at a discounted price in 2021.
Love my gladiator 2020, 4" lift lol going speed limits I do exactly as annonced on 35 tire 🤯 it turns on a dime and it's causy. Nothing interior anoying cause if you buy it you kniw what to expect .. but True the start stop sucks. Cherokee has it grand cherokee .. 3rd car with it I got used to it.
1) the solid front axle is for Articulation (try it - your wife will appreciate it) OFF road. Jeep owners sacrifice ride and steering feel to gain the ability to keep the front tires on the trail 2) If pavement performance is a priority, a mid-size pick-up from Nissan or Toyota will fill the bill far better 3) Jeep = Just Empty Every Pocket or "Jeep makes master mechanics out of their owners." This is the MAIN reason NOT to buy one
Here’s my problem with the jeep gladiator and I don’t even own one, but I’m looking to buy one. I am not paying $6000 for adaptive, cruise control and an automatic. That is seriously all I want. I’m not looking for Rubicon or a Mojave or Willys or any of the more expensive models. I’m just looking for a damn gladiator with adaptive cruise control and an automatic. This isn’t a tough concept. I’m not paying for all the other crap. Basically what I’m asking for is what every other vehicle on the market has as a standard and Jeep wants me to pay $6000 for a standard. not happening. I want one, I don’t need one . if a dealer wants to contact me, I’m fine with that, but I’m tired of looking
It is a Jeep.....the only problem I see is the outrageous price from greed....but that's gonna change soon........ can't wait to get mine this fall. My retirement ride.
TBH some of these reviews almost scared me off. But then I bought a Gladiator. If you drove any truck from the 80's. You won't care how it drive. It drives like a truck not a BMW M3
What idiots came up with this list of complaints? Did they forget this is a mid-size truck? And clearly none of them had ever driven a Jeep before if they didn't know what to expect in how it handled. I've had my Gladiator for over 2 years now and it's been a great vehicle. The ride is great, it has more than enough room for passengers, the bed size is right on par with most mid-size trucks, and the fuel economy is not much worse than other mid-size trucks. And mine is lifted with 37" tires. And the complain about interior noise is BS as well, and I can talk on the phone hands-free while doing 75 down the highway with no problem. And of course it costs more, you're paying more for the bullet-proof 4x4 capabilities of a Jeep compared to any other plain old pickup truck, that's a no-brainer!
#7. It’s a Jerp. What were you expecting? #6 It’s a 6 cylinder truck. What did you expect? You can’t give me a 4 cylinder truck. #5 We know it’s a short bed truck. No secret. #4. It’s a jeep. Not a Chevy Tahoe. #3 okay. I’ll give you that one. #2. Again. IT’S A JERP!! #1. It’s pricy but so is every other SUV out there. I own a Gladiator and think you’re a little carried away. Especially with your engine concerns. Gladiator is very powerful.
I'd love to see it as a club cab with a 8 foot bed. And the reason you're not getting more fuel mileage is the more hp the worse the fuel mileage that's the price you pay. Hate to say it but that's a fact.
As a gladiator owner, All of these things are true. There are actually more things, That I could think of. But it is still one of the best vehicles. My biggest complain is quality. Lack of quality.
I’m gonna sum it up in one sentence. You bought a jeep. Regardless of it being a “pickup”, it’s still a jeep and will drive like one. I love mine because I knew what I was getting when I got it. I didn’t expect a fancy truck. I expected a jeep with a small bed lol
These gladiators are plagued with transmission problems. Countless forums with countless people replacing their transmissions between 500-50,000 miles. My gladiator (450 miles) already needs a new transmission.
I just drove the Gladiator rubicon today and it drives as good as our 23 Tacoma and easier to drive, turn than the frontier. For a review to complain about large off road tires on a truck much less a 4x4 truck shows he/they are of the squishy vehicle nature and have no business in a truck or sports car and should stick to minivan reviews. We are thinking about a rubicon for cross country retirement traveling or maybe just for fun and use our Tacoma for long rides. Cabin noise in the front seat is bad but I can fix most of that easily, the back does not have it.
Jeep give me a gladiator and allow me to cut out the back half of the cab and remodel the bed to a long bed and remove the engine and install a 4.8L v8 and boom the new jeep j10s have been built
All the reasons listed have NOTHING to do with the Jeep, but rather owner expectation management. They expected it to be something it's not. Sounds more like the complaint list comes from people who should have bought an SUV, not an off road Jeep. You don't buy a Mustang and expect it to act like a GT40. You don't buy a Wrangler/Gladiator and expect it to act like a Toyota Highlander.
I really didn't hear any real issues about the truck its more like opinions. I don't get why people buy anything and they don't spend anytime researching before they buy. If the truck performs and does what its supposed to do what's the problem?
If you're buying a Jeep for a smooth ride, here's a quarter, save up and buy a clue. As for fuel economy, it's still way better than the old straight 6, and way better than my old Dauntless 225 V6 4bbl from my 1966 Kaiser Jeep, so don't complain about 16mpg. It's a Jeep, it's square, noisy, bouncy and never made to tow or haul. Flush out your head gear buddy.
I just bought a '23 Rubicon Gladiator. with a huge discount. The ride quality is great, steering is great, engine is proven, the fuel economy is a trade off. The bed is big enough, cabin noise is minimal. This guy just hates Jeeps. Lame video.
🏆 Which problem mentioned in the video is most important to you as a car owner? 🤔
🔴2024 Ford Ranger Has The Other Mid-Size Players Crapping In Their Pants 👉 th-cam.com/video/ObJRxBgNe94/w-d-xo.html
🥱Its a Jeep... none of these matter
Lol, not really petunia.
🤦🏻♀️ not for me
We just bought a 22 Gladiator overland with 12K miles.
I agree. This guy doesn't know what he's talking about.
Are they perfect? No. Are there some issues? Yes, but no other brand is free of issues, either. Ask Ford, Mazda, BMW, GM, Nissan -- and "the best" Toyota...not lately though, are they.
It seems Jeep critics are in one of these categories:
-- never owned one.
Yet so are a lot of other new "specialty/performance" trucks regardless of brand.

was expecting to hear about mechanical issues, not personal opinions.
I don’t think there are any real mechanical issues, the jeep seems solid.
Yes there is my cousin broke down at 40000 miles
You gotta remember the internet is full of $hit house lawyers, & bogus experts on everything.
@@micjakes1 And it was when Covid was bad and he had to wait 4 months to get a part for it… He was steaming mad but other than that he liked the vehicle. He traded it though recently
Lol it's a jeep not a caddilac princess
Seems like they are complaining about a jeep being a jeep
We are Jeep family this December. I got a Jeep Gladiator and I'm very happy with it. I can't stand these negative reviews on Jeep People just haters.
I didn't buy a Jeep for ride comfort, safety features, technology, mpg's, interior comfort 😂 I bought it to do what other vehicles can't do.
Nothing but smiles per gallon here 🤙🏽
Ty
Yesss but ta make sure we take care of them alone the way
Good comment and good points made.
I've had my 2023 Jeep Gladiator now for one year, no complaints, love it.
Same. I’m enjoying it a lot.
same here.
The guy literally listed every reason to buy a Jeep.
If I wanted a Cadillac I would buy one I buy a Jeep because it's a Jeep. They're made to go off-road. Live with it!
I didn't buy my Jeep for gas mileage and ride comfort.
OK
I have a 2022 diesel Rubicon. I love this truck. Great mileage, and the torque is great. Runs like a V8.
i also have the 22 diesel rubicon JT. i love it but the suspension is not adequate for the motor. it bottoms out in the city even with the fix and i do drive it within expectations of the law :) i love the truck otherwise and i am sure i will love it much more after a new suspension... the brakes are incredible! one thing they don't mention is the fact that the JT has a boxed frame vs, toyota's c channel. there is a big difference in strength. also, the rubicon has a great drivetrain. it all factors into the cost if we look deeper into it. all these trucks shown cost too much, ours cost more because of what we are getting under the skin.
Probably my next pickup purchase.
This video is contradictory to actual people who have owned and driven both.
I heard the 2023's are way better at steering and more space than Tacoma. Your video convinced me to buy a Gladiator Rubicon.
Could have made this video RRALLY short;
#1 reason people don't like the Jerp Galdiator: IT'S A JEEP, with all the qualities Jeepers LOVE about their vehicles.
#1. Solid front axles; AWESOME articulation!!! (normal solid axle steering feel)
#2. Fuel economy; while not great, as good as 4 bangers in Nissan and Toyota. (but it's a JEEP!!!!)
#3. Five foot bed; It's not a work truck. (not that it was EVER meant to be)
#4. Passenger room; bigger on the inside. If your want room, buy a work truck or luxury sedan.
#5. UPGRADED interior features; digital, touch screen, electric seats, BUT IT'S STILL WATERPROOF!!!!!! (Warning: collision warning system requires lower sensitivity setting than most vehicles)
Buy a Prius and move on .
I Love my Rubicon Gladiator. I have it for 3 years now ❤
My daily driver last 8 yrs, 2011 Wrangler Rubicon 4dr lifted on 35's.
2023 Gladiator Sport. Manual locks and roll windows. Hard top. Zero complaints. Love it. Best vehicle I've ever owned.
I've had my '22 gladiator for over a year. Absolutely love it!!!!
Got a 2021 gladiator mojave. Absolutely love everything but the payment
How is she on gas
I don't think they offered the 392 but all the wrangler folks were impressed
just saying
I've got a 2023 gladiator mojave with the fox 2.5 suspension....rides great runs great steering is tight love my jeep
I don’t own a jeep yet but have my eyes on a eco-diesel gladiator. After watching this video I can’t wait to buy it. This is exactly why I want a jeep
Love my 2023 Gladiator ❤
Would I like better gas mileage?
Steering is vague because of the suspension setup
Its live axle front and rear for better articulation, most 4x4s these days have independent suspension in one form or another
As its live axle, you wont get rack and pinion steering.
Ride is soft
Cabin is large
Engine is powerful and fast,
Not know GMC Sierra at4x is $80,000 and is way worse on fuel than the jeep and I can get it for $30,000 less.
You can get one with the Standard 3.6 litre V6, a 3 litre Diesel V6, or the 4xe Plug in Hybrid
As for power, if I want more, I'd hemi swap it before I trade it in on another truck.
a mopar trailer brake controller is available-need to correct their information. My first gladiator had one and it was excellent
@@RickZackExploreOffroad they do but idk, they all seemed to be completely in the way
I still want one. I’m glad real people have commented on the video. I was reluctant to take this little lady’s opinion.
There is a factory Mopar trailer brake kit. Maybe put some effort into the research
This review is completely off, he has zero credibility whatsoever criticizing mid sized trucks, this interviewer definitely belongs behind the wheel of a Honda ridgeline, people don’t buy jeeps for a comfortable ride, the solid axles provide incredible suspension articulation that the competition won’t come close to, what a waste of time…
Jeep sued Roxor because their frontend looked like a Wrangler, now the 2024 Wrangler looks like the first Roxors that were imported here.
Ive had my Gladiator for almost 18 months and never experienced any of these issues
Tell me you don't understand jeeps......
If the comfort issues bother you, get an ifs mall queen or a Subaru and problem solved... for all of us.
There is no 4XE. Start/Stop can be programmed off.
You're wrong about the trailer brake controller, it's an option that replaces the cigarette lighter socket.
1) the solid front axle is for Articulation (try it - your wife will appreciate it) OFF road. Jeep owners sacrifice ride and steering feel to gain the ability to keep the front tires on the trail
2) If pavement performance is a priority, a mid-size pick-up from Nissan or Toyota will fill the bill far better
3) Jeep = Just Empty Every Pocket or "Jeep makes master mechanics out of their owners." This is the MAIN reason NOT to buy one
How u gonna buy a truck with a solid front axel and expect good ride quality.
23mpg is actually pretty good for a truck that has balls. The honda & hyundai may get better mileage but are glorified cars not trucks.
Inwas literally driving to the dealer to buy a Gladiator Willy's and turned around while watching this video
As a gladiator owner, All of these things are true. There are actually more things, That I could think of. But it is still one of the best vehicles. My biggest complain is quality. Lack of quality.
Not one of those issues bother me. It's a JEEP, not a passenger car. It looks cool, drives well and is versatile.
I will buy one eventually
Pretty sure this dude has never actually been in one let alone driven one.
I need one with a 440 v8 and vary strong and dependable
I’m gonna sum it up in one sentence. You bought a jeep. Regardless of it being a “pickup”, it’s still a jeep and will drive like one. I love mine because I knew what I was getting when I got it. I didn’t expect a fancy truck. I expected a jeep with a small bed lol
Yeah, it's a Jeep that resembles a pickup. Worst "pickup" I've ever owned but the greatest off road vehicle I've ever owned.
These gladiators are plagued with transmission problems. Countless forums with countless people replacing their transmissions between 500-50,000 miles. My gladiator (450 miles) already needs a new transmission.
Out here Wildin
I just drove the Gladiator rubicon today and it drives as good as our 23 Tacoma and easier to drive, turn than the frontier. For a review to complain about large off road tires on a truck much less a 4x4 truck shows he/they are of the squishy vehicle nature and have no business in a truck or sports car and should stick to minivan reviews. We are thinking about a rubicon for cross country retirement traveling or maybe just for fun and use our Tacoma for long rides. Cabin noise in the front seat is bad but I can fix most of that easily, the back does not have it.
Haha imagine watching this review right after buying a gladiator 😅 thankfully the comments didn’t disappoint!!!
No complaints
passenger seating is like that in every jeep except maybe the biggest suv. so if that upset a person then maybe they arent jeep people
You are not the right person to do this video. This reminds me of people who complain their Mercedes are too expensive to maintain.
I think whoever made this video would be happier with a nice mini van or crossover.
You miss the fact that you don’t have compartment for your nails polish and make up …Dude I have my gladiator now for 4 years and I’m loving it
This guy is talking yet showing me video of everything and the only reason I would wanna buy one
Jeep give me a gladiator and allow me to cut out the back half of the cab and remodel the bed to a long bed and remove the engine and install a 4.8L v8 and boom the new jeep j10s have been built
as if Jeep owners care about "ride quality" or "cabin noise"... we buy them for the rough ride
Who the hell did this review? Beating it up for the auto start stop? Every vehicle today has that. Cabin noise? No shit.
Cabin noise isn’t an issue with the gladiators, rear wheels are outside the cabin.
I love my 21 gladiator rubicon
I really didn't hear any real issues about the truck its more like opinions. I don't get why people buy anything and they don't spend anytime researching before they buy. If the truck performs and does what its supposed to do what's the problem?
Years ago I remember hearing that the jeep was a cowboy's Cadillac.
Lame video.
Lol, If ya like the Gladiator, do your research and buy what you want. I'm happy with mine so there!
