I just wanted to say thank you for all your tutorials thus far, I haven't gotten through all of them but they've saved my butt a lot and given me hope/motivation to finish some projects. I find myself experimenting with nodes more to accomplish a look, and I've learned so much from these tutorials that I feel like I understand the basics enough to KEEP experimenting without breaking all my stuff! TL;DR: thank you, your tutorials have taught me a lot, and I learn from them more every project.
10:09 For some reason my ico sphere looks like a golf ball while yours at this point looks like the moon. Also my voronoi tex seems a bit different on the scale values.
5:39 my voronoi texture doesnt have detail, roughness, or lucanarity? what are those? and does my version of blender need to be the same to have those?
For some reason my material preview gets really slow when making this specific material. even slower than rendered view. i got 32gb of ram rtx 4070 and i9 cpu so im confused. I double checked all settings and blender is using GPU. when I switch to other procedural materials from asset library it Immediately solves the problem. Not sure whats different about this material.
okay I'm glad I saw this comment because I have been going crazy thinking it was just me. I've trying to work out why my CPU usage was jumping to 100% in the blend file with this texture, because it isn't happening with any other procedural material I've done. I'm definitely using GPU to render, so my CPU shouldn't be freaking out. my fans were going mental when trying to do anything in the .blend and everything was so damn slow, even in material view, even just renaming the material was too much. after some testing, I think it's the "smooth F1" in the voronoi, since I haven't used that on any other material, turning it back to F1 seems to have solved the issue for me, and I don't think it changes the texture too much to keep it on smooth.

Can you make video about car wheel ?
thanks for the video idea. I get tons of tutorial requests, but I will consider it.

Yeah I'd recommend upgrading to the lastest version of Blender so you can get those features
@@RyanKingArt ok, cool thx. i was using 3.3.1. what version were you using in this tutorial?

My computer renders this much slower as well, I think its because of the transparency of the glass.
