i've been doing a fun little exercise with these tutorials now to test my own knowledge. i try to figure out what the next node you are going to add is before you say it to see if i am learning anything. i'm at the point where i can guess it about 70% of the time so i have moved up to trying to guess the settings of the nodes too. these really are some of the most useful material tutorials out there. thank you so much for making these. 🤘
This is fantastic. The group nodes feature is where my intuitive brain went just before you revealed it. I wish I understood the knowledge based intricacies of node relationships intuitively. Failed experiments are taxing with this seemingly over complicated format.
4:34 my computer still does not act right with cycles.🥲 4:40 also my computer keeps dividing into 4 different parts.😕 how do mark it just do 2 like it is on yours?
I have the NVIDIA RTX 2080 Super GPU. However, I bought it many years ago, and I'm sure there are much better GPU's out there now. Thanks for supporting me on TH-cam memberships!
Cool detailed tutorial, barely finished watching it. Tell me how to get rid of super strong viewport lags when approaching an object. As I understand it, the viewport slows down due to the abundance and complexity of textures. It is impossible to work if the EVEE engine is selected.
Great video! I've read through countless forums but I just can't seem to find much -if any- information on how to enable the Normalize Node and enable the Lacunarity slide bar as well. They don't show up anywhere when I have a Noise Texture, not on the main square, nor in the properties slide down. I could really use some help and would really appreciate it if you could help me find how to enable these two properties!
Very great video. I love the way you explain every step and then the material just gets more detailled with every step. Amazing. 🙂 I wonder if there is a way, to export these materials to substance painter. I mean, Blender does a great job with these materials, so that might be a + for my workflow. Does anyone know this (pls) ? 😊
if you can, could you list all the addons you are using, my blender is completely different and i don't see the Lacunarity in any of the noise texture nodes.
So I purchased both the Ultimate Blender Procedural pack... and the Procedural Pack. The Ultimate pack installed great in the asset library.(As per your instruction Video.) HOWEVER, how do we install the "Procedural Material Pack" . There are 18 blender files.... only one has a specific name. (Christmas Ornaments)???? I tried just doing a CTL C copy of the nodes and an Append... neither worked. How do I access the "Procedural Layered Rock Material" node shown in the video?
Check out my setup guide video: th-cam.com/video/W6ytbGu2EYY/w-d-xo.html That other folder with all of the procedural material packs, are not asset browser ready. its the "Ultimate Blender Procedural Material Pack-0.0.7" File, that you use and setup as an asset library. Also, I update the material pack every time I make 10 more procedural materials, so the Layered Rock Material will be added in the next update. If you want to get the Layered rock material right now, you can purchase it on my Gumroad store. Links in description. Or just wait until the next material pack update.
can i ask why everytime i use to download a free HDRIs what i see is a internet logo only, but when i download textures what i have is the right folder to extract?
an HDRI is one file, so when you download it from Poly Haven, it just downloads the single file. However, many texture websites, give you a zip file, to compress the file data, and because image textures come with multiple files, like a color, roughness, and normal maps.

So cool! You're the alchemist of texture nodes.
thanks!

Love that testing strategy!
haha cool!
i love how you make all feels so easy😂 thank you so much sir!
You're very welcome!
Excellent tutorial and excellent procedural material, thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
One thing I would love to see at the end of your videos is how to apply the texture to a scene.
thanks for the idea 👍

Really... wonderful tutorial ... THANKS ❤❤❤
welcome!
YES !!!! I like this !
thanks
Hi Ryan, This work is incredible. Thank you for every tutorial. I'm just wondering what the graphics card is. I'm going to build a desktop computer.
I have the NVIDIA RTX 2080 Super GPU. However, I bought it many years ago, and I'm sure there are much better GPU's out there now.
Thanks for supporting me on TH-cam memberships!
Please post how to make a car ❤ .full tutorial
thanks for the idea
Awesome thanks!!
welcome!
26:11 Something is either wrong with my computer. Or the software. Because the scale is not changing on my rock. 🤦🏽♀️. The details are so small.

Thanks for the tutorial, but why do you use "Mix RGB" node rather than using "Color Ramp" node
its so that I can have custom colors in the node group.
ありがとうございます!
you're welcome!
14:50 my computer still does not surface in setting
make sure your in cycles render engine
Ur the best
thanks
