Thanks for the comment Magento. I think Disney bought Fox and reacquired the X-Men movie rights recently so hopefully that'll mean they're open to using them in future games. X-Men are a necessity for MvC games!
Imagine if MVCI has all the characters from Marvel Super Heroes to Ultimate MVC3, and 3v3 battles. With new additional characters in the base game and dlc characters, and all the stages from Marvel Super Heroes to Ultimate MVC3.
The character sprites in this MVC games made me love Marvel characters. And been a Capcom fan. And the hierarchy of final boss battles satisfies my OCD.😂
To be honest, MvC2 made me familiar with characters that I'm pretty sure I have never seen elsewhere. I wasn't sure where Jin was from, but I absolutely loved hearing him shout and punch with so much aggression. Hayato and Commando were so cool too! I really enjoyed the Plasma Sword chains Hayato had. Ruby Heart, Amingo, and Sonson III were all definitely interesting original characters. A french pirate who can turn into a fireball is something I can get behind. Same goes for a cactus who's searching for the scourge draining away life from its habitat(and technically everywhere) and a grandchild of a REALLY old capcom game who can grow to be like a Saiyan monkey from Dragon Ball Z. I still kinda miss those characters, and I'm a little annoyed that most of them(especially the X-Men, which made up a significant part of the roster) were reduced to a poster cameo showing most of them as slain or apprehended. Mega Man was just gone. Capcom's shown that they can definitely bring back those old characters(considering Kyosuke in CvS2, Batsu in TvC, recently Akira in SFV, and Strider Hiryu in every MvC game, like at this point I think he's a mainstay lol), so I hope if MvC4/5 is a possibility, what with #FreeMvC2 blowing up now and people showing their support to keep Marvel alive, I hope they go all out with the characters. It'll definitely be more fun. I also hope there aren't any issues with bringing characters back to the game.

@@SRC267 steam is a game store/launcher for pc. the steam deck is a console that is built to run the steam software and most games from that launcher on it. as far as i’m aware it’s not coming to other pc game launchers such as epic games or origin.
Sprites are a lot harder and expensive to make than 3d so I doubt there'll be 150 of them unless they reuse all the old ones. This is why SNK had to go 3d for KOF 14 and 15, despite of 13 having a very good sprite work. They can do what ArcSys does - make 3d models appear like sprites
As a fan from 90s...I've never cared for the 3v3...I always preferred the 2v2. They definitely need to go back to 2D or 2.5D. The full 3D is not doing it for me.

It's funny to hear that MVC3's endings were so contentious, because 2 didn't have any at all. I remember when 3 first released I was surprised they even had endings for every character after 2 didn't.
Technically, the year 2000 was the last year of the old millennium, not the first year of the new one. But all the same, MvC2 was the perfect send-off to that era.

Great video as always. Yeah, I sort of wished that Marvel vs Capcom would come back to form sooner or later. But, the seeing how Marvel is pretty much under Disney, it has me a bit worried for the future of the franchise as a whole. However, if MvC4 ends up being good after that disater that was Infinite, it would be a relief.

Disney and marvel didn’t really help it either, if Disney wasn’t so anal about who gets to use what with marvel or wasn’t in a ridiculous feud with fox then maybe the characters could’ve helped the game more

true, Ultimate All-Stars was released on Wii, while PS3 and XB360 had MvC3 and UMvC3... many complained about that, but to be fair, I watched Gatchaman as a kid, so watching the characters again in a game was awesome... I would have prefered both games on all consoles, but that's what you have friends with other consoles for 🤣🤣🤣
All I personally would hope for in a MVC4 is they pull a smash ultimate and bring back every single character in the MVC series all to return, bring back 3v3, if the gameplay is like MVC2 OR MVCi ill love that as well(also wouldnt mind if its like UMVC3 as I like its gameplay to, but personally perfer the other 2 strictly in a gameplay perspective). Would love for Apocalypse, Wang Tang, Gill(SF3), Carnage, Green Goblin, Invisible Woman, Silver Surfer, Sentry, and weird characters like Captain Britain, Mad Jim Jaspers, Howard the Duck to be some newcomers!

It looked like the eye ball monster in the Dr Strange 2 movie was going to be him, but it was just a random monster. Kind of a wasted opportunity considering he's a Dr Strange enemy.
Oh man. I wish they would make an MVC4... MVC2 is my favorite game of all time. Personally I didn’t like that they changed the button configurations to be more universal later on to help even the playing field a little. Just make the beginner and expert modes.
If Capcom can pull off a Dragonball FighterZ/GG Strive animation style, bring back 3v3, and go for an Ultimate Smash bros. "Everyone is Here!" Type Roster... My money will be theirs.

I own Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite on PS4 and PC and in my opinion, it’s really not that bad. It controls well, some of the characters look fine and the cutscenes I believe are a fun novelty for those who want to see substantial interactions between the Marvel and Capcom characters outside of match entrances. I do get why people don’t like it as much as the other ones, but as a big Capcom fan and a HUGE Marvel fan, I say for what it is, it’s inoffensive and worth giving a library rent, or buying when it’s on sale.
@@benmalsky9834 3D itself is also trash because it isn't handled well for the fast-paced gameplay of MvC 2D & bright colourful art is better suited for fast paced fighting games. So much more captivating this way.
I Think A Marvel Vs. Capcom Legacy Collection Like What Happened With Mega Man is A Much Safer Idea Than A New Game With Disney Around Plus, Disney Does Love Their Rehashes & Rereleases! I Even Have An Idea Roster! ▪X-Men Vs. Streeet Fighter ▪Marvel Super Heroes Vs. Street Fighter ▪Marvel Vs. Capcom ▪Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 ▪Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 (With The Original DLC Included from the get go)
I think the best way for MvC to make a comback after all of the Infinite backlash is to take an "Everyone is Here" approach like Smash Ultimate. One of the biggest complaints about Infinite is its weak roster, so make up for it by literally bringing everyone back from the previous games. Throw in the fan favorites, or the highly requested characters. Pull out those oddball obscure characters. The best part about Super Smash these days isn't even the game, its the fan service and crazy character announcements. Ditch the story mode, just make the arcade mode fun with secret bosses and characters. How cool would it be to be able to fight Cyber Akuma, or Onslaught, or Abyss. Maybe add some new game modes, such as the fan-made "ratio mode" or the option to play either 1v1, 2v2, or 3v3. They need to take a page from Dragonball FighterZ and go crazy with the fan service, costumes and levels. They also need to change the art style, the other heavily criticized element of Infinite. They could use something similar to FighterZ but with a more comic influence, with bolder outlines and what not. Like a cross between FighterZ and MvC3. Also, don't be so slimey about DLC. Infinite locked new, requested, characters behind Day 1 DLC that was announced before the game even came out.
@@mikehurt3290 I'm well aware that realistically that would never happen. But they do need to build a fan service roster. Bring back some of favorites and new highly requested characters.

Sounds like Capcom were really trying to give fans what they knew they wanted from experience, relative at least, and Disney tried to take control of what they saw as their franchise and redirect it. A shame, I loved the marvel vs Capcom games when I was younger, wished they made a modern one a bit more interesting

They didn't print any copies of mvc2 on ps2. I worked at GameStop in 2003-2004 and people were always looking for the PS2 version. It was the first PS2 I noticed that shot up in price to above MSRP

the MVC sprites for the marvel cast are so absurdly lively they live rent free in my mind as the 90s versions of these characters. Spider-Man and Venom, especially. others have the train scene, I have "Spider Sting!"
It would be awesome if they made it a newer 2D sprite game with the silly animation of the original MSH game. Also maybe this time all characters will have a damaged sprite like captain America has in MSH.
I'd love to see a new 2D sprite game from Capcom. By the early 2000s it felt like they were getting lazy with the amount of recycling they were doing, but if they re-did a lot of the sprite work it'd look great.
Norimaro is like the Pee-Wee Herman of Japan. But it would’ve been awesome in the US/UK releases of MSHvsSF to have Stan Lee as the playable character instead.
At this point,capcom just needs to release a mvc collection to make up for the trash they've been putting out.Then actually listen to fans and pay attention to feedback i wouldnt mind a new mvc game as long as they quit taking out what made it what it is.

true, Ultimate All-Stars was released on Wii, while PS3 and XB360 had MvC3 and UMvC3... many complained about that, but to be fair, I watched Gatchaman as a kid, so watching the characters again in a game was awesome... I would have prefered both games on all consoles, but that's what you have friends with other consoles for 🤣🤣🤣
They should add Asura, Leon, Green Goblin, Silver Surfer, Carnage, Mother Miranda, Pyron, Punisher, Daredevil, and Juri just to name a few.

All I personally would hope for in a MVC4 is they pull a smash ultimate and bring back every single character in the MVC series all to return, bring back 3v3, if the gameplay is like MVC2 OR MVCi ill love that as well(also wouldnt mind if its like UMVC3 as I like its gameplay to, but personally perfer the other 2 strictly in a gameplay perspective).
Would love for Apocalypse, Wang Tang, Gill(SF3), Carnage, Green Goblin, Invisible Woman, Silver Surfer, Sentry, and weird characters like Captain Britain, Mad Jim Jaspers, Howard the Duck to be some newcomers!

Oh man. I wish they would make an MVC4... MVC2 is my favorite game of all time. Personally I didn’t like that they changed the button configurations to be more universal later on to help even the playing field a little. Just make the beginner and expert modes.

I own Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite on PS4 and PC and in my opinion, it’s really not that bad. It controls well, some of the characters look fine and the cutscenes I believe are a fun novelty for those who want to see substantial interactions between the Marvel and Capcom characters outside of match entrances. I do get why people don’t like it as much as the other ones, but as a big Capcom fan and a HUGE Marvel fan, I say for what it is, it’s inoffensive and worth giving a library rent, or buying when it’s on sale.
The hate toward Capcom for not having Fox characters was always silly: regardless of Capcom's comments, the matter was always out of their hands.

I think the best way for MvC to make a comback after all of the Infinite backlash is to take an "Everyone is Here" approach like Smash Ultimate. One of the biggest complaints about Infinite is its weak roster, so make up for it by literally bringing everyone back from the previous games. Throw in the fan favorites, or the highly requested characters. Pull out those oddball obscure characters. The best part about Super Smash these days isn't even the game, its the fan service and crazy character announcements. Ditch the story mode, just make the arcade mode fun with secret bosses and characters. How cool would it be to be able to fight Cyber Akuma, or Onslaught, or Abyss. Maybe add some new game modes, such as the fan-made "ratio mode" or the option to play either 1v1, 2v2, or 3v3. They need to take a page from Dragonball FighterZ and go crazy with the fan service, costumes and levels. They also need to change the art style, the other heavily criticized element of Infinite. They could use something similar to FighterZ but with a more comic influence, with bolder outlines and what not. Like a cross between FighterZ and MvC3. Also, don't be so slimey about DLC. Infinite locked new, requested, characters behind Day 1 DLC that was announced before the game even came out.
I'd love for Capcom to follow an 'Everyone is Here' approach, if Disney allowed it.

I actually have beaten two of the four installments of the Marvel vs Capcom video 🎮 series.
Worth investing in the other 2 if you see them around. Each had it's pros and cons.

Nightcrawler has been a popular choice. He'd be real cool. It seems Super Skrull was their way of of bundling the entire Fantastic Four into one character.
Sounds like Capcom were really trying to give fans what they knew they wanted from experience, relative at least, and Disney tried to take control of what they saw as their franchise and redirect it. A shame, I loved the marvel vs Capcom games when I was younger, wished they made a modern one a bit more interesting

They didn't print any copies of mvc2 on ps2. I worked at GameStop in 2003-2004 and people were always looking for the PS2 version. It was the first PS2 I noticed that shot up in price to above MSRP

I had this idea of creating a crossover fighter game called Marvel vs Tekken and it will be followed by “Avengeance” and “Avengeance 2” (an inspired title from Injustice)
The only game where Marvel and Namco teammed up in was Marvel Disk Wars: The Avengers for the 3DS.
the MVC sprites for the marvel cast are so absurdly lively they live rent free in my mind as the 90s versions of these characters. Spider-Man and Venom, especially. others have the train scene, I have "Spider Sting!"
It would be awesome if they made it a newer 2D sprite game with the silly animation of the original MSH game. Also maybe this time all characters will have a damaged sprite like captain America has in MSH.
I'd love to see a new 2D sprite game from Capcom. By the early 2000s it felt like they were getting lazy with the amount of recycling they were doing, but if they re-did a lot of the sprite work it'd look great.
