It's almost absurd how Disney buried this franchise by making the games basically into an advertisement for the MCU.
To be fair, half of the blame is also on the Marvel Comics side. Specifically the then(?) CEO Ike Perlmutter who has a personal grudge and tried to bury the X-Men and F4 just because the movies weren't handled by Marvel Studios
Also not sure how much better Infinite would've played if the Capcom team worked with Eighting like with MVC3

@gregssupershow4456 the movie rights doesn't affect the marvel games products, it's just that Disney really wanted to focus on the character they own and market to the public. Cuz if it is movie licensing issues then why there are X-Men characters in Contest of Champions at launch

I worked in an arcade circa 2000 and MvC was the game everyone came to play. The management always gave us a hard time because we always put service credits on and played while working. We were also always putting fresh cherry switches in, whereas they normally wouldnt replace a switch unless it had completely failed. We had the really big cabinet (not standard size so lots of elbow room and a big screen!) for MvC, Tekken and Soul Caliber. We held tournaments with prizes and had a good group of players that would come in. The tournament winner would then play vs staff and be reminded of the hierarchy, lol. People would come in, play a few warm ups and then challenge whoever was working. Mostly regulars, but sometimes guys would travel from a couple hours away because they were good players and heard our arcade was a place they could find a challenge. We never disappointed and rarely lost.
That actually sounds Awesome AF! We use to hold MVC parties with money involved and beer (sleep overs parents were koo). Those were the best times!

The old days of gaming and going to arcades is something I miss. I know in Asia it's more popular and common. But in America, at least where I live they aren't as common. Even just going to the mall and playing at the arcade was fun back then

The game must have been on easy mode when dude was fighting Magneto. ...Magneto is one of the hardest, if not the hardest of all the bosses.
And is the only Capcom boss besides Gill I won't mock someone for fighting on Easy coz he's such a pain.
even on the easiest mode Magneto is still difficult.
not as hard as cyber akuma or Galactus! both of them were op as hell. especially cyber akuma who would put shin akuma to shame

while he wasn't as uber OP as #CyberAkuma or #ChildrenoftheAtom #Magneto , he was super annoying to beat even in lowest difficulty! its clear that #Capcom heard the feedback regarding how uber easy #Aybss was and dialed the boss difficulty back to ten in #MvC3
Cyber Akuma was EXTREMELY hard on console. Not only did he seal the same amount of damage, but they also gave him much higher health. Oh and you had to beat him multiple rounds too, so after you exhausted yourself off beating that extremely high health once, you gotta dust yourself off and do it again 😖
Jesus, Onslaught was a fucking nightmare. After dealing with him, everyone else seemed Busch league.
Out of all these bosses magneto gave me the most problems. Dude damn near unlimited super bar was ridiculous

@Therake2602 yes onslaught was OP but the worst of them all and I mean the worst and I'm not even talking like impressive worst I'm talking just a cheap boss was galactus...how the hell the Gave him a 150 plus hit unblockable move and let's not even talk about the clones u gotta fight before him

i tried fight with onslaught with a IA harder and it was a hell like happen with apocalipse when IA want to win yes or yes or mecha akuma.
Onslaught is a piece of cake with Megaman and Ryu

That fight with Ultron Omega shouldn't have taken THAT long.
And it still grinds my gears that he's called Ultron Omega when he's more Sigma than Ultron in that form.

Ultron Sigma and Ultron Omega were awesome bosses for modern audiences. Both were villains that worked well from their respective universes when it came to a mash-up and it's going to suck that people miss them. :(
Though Magneto and Onslaught were still the coolest :3
Yeah infinite had a good boss, I don't know anything about Sigma but my young son exploded that it was a mega Man villain!
Ultron and Sigma are an excelent idea on itself for bosses and an amalgamation of the two is impressive, but the fight is lame as the rest of the game. Seriously, I was yawning watching the fight unfolding like a roll of toilet paper

Fun fact.....Thor being turned to stone is a callback to the 4th issue of the Infinity Gauntlet mini series. Thor is right about to smash Thanos' head in with Mjolnir, but Thanos instead turns him into a glass statue.

Cyber Akuma/ Mech Gouki was a LOT HARDER in PS1!! In the Arcades he was pretty Easy...Onslaught is a DEMON in ANY version :)

The Thanos stage is crazy. Drax, Thor, Nova, She Hulk and Wanda all in their comic form. Even Mephisto.
This franchise really went down with Mvc3. Don’t know why they changed the art direction because all the past games looked so good. I hate how they went with a weird realistic look.
Couldn't agree more. Still enjoyed the game because it was total mayhem, though. The series dropped significantly with Infinite.

Definitely not the orginal difficulty setting. Magneto was ridiculously hard in the arcade setting.
Omega Ultron looks most like puzzle battle than a real boss battle

Interesting thing is that Wolverine was always like one of the main characters in the roster, and was not even mentioned in MVC Infinite. One of the main reasons I don't like that one.

I had two copies of Marvel vs Capcom 2 back in the day. No clue where either one of them ended up and it breaks my heart 💔
I got a heartbreak story for you. I was 17yrs old. After the news came out that it was finally coming to consoles after being in the Arcades for the longest. I started to save my allowance. I even did extra jobs around the house so I could get it when it was released. I’ll never forget the day I walked into GameStop. The day I had it in my hands. The joy I felt. Couldn’t wait to get it home to play it on when it was first released, Dreamcast. For months I was in Heaven, then one day I’m cleaning my room. I’m making my bed. I put my knee down on the bed to take something off the cover and I hear a break of something. Somehow, before I even lifted the cover I knew what it was. Lol(but not ha ha funny)I said, “NO, LET IT BE ANYTHING BUT THAT”. I lifted the cover and sure enough. It was the game. After holding it up, WHYYYY, lol. I just sat there with each piece in my hands. I think I sat like that for 15 minutes. By the time I saved for it again it was discontinued on the Dreamcast. To find one was impossible. I found out later they released it for the ps2 and I didn’t have one. By the time I got one, they were sold out everywhere for YEARS. Of course nobody was trading there’s in. Everytime I went into GameStop, I just hoped someone traded there’s in but nope. It literally took me a whole decade to get the game back. I finally got it back in 2010 off of EBay. I won it at the last second in a bidding war. Got it for $50. I jumped up celebrating and everything. Most on there were going for 6 times that for buy only. Since then. It is in my game collection in its case. Whenever I finish playing it, it always goes RIGHT back in its case/lesson learned, lol. I wish Capcom would do with these games like did with Mega Man. Put them all in a Collection Edition. 2 Dics for Current Consoles.
I haven’t played this franchise since MVC3. But just seeing the boss of Infinite makes me wanna get back into it. I flipped shit when I saw Sigma combined with Ultron. I’m a huge fan of all things Mega Man 🙌🏻

For MSHvsSF: It should've been M.O.D.O.K. in a giant mecha-suit.
With a cybernetically modified street fighter named M.O.D.O.K.U.M.A. aka M.O.D.O.U.K.I. who looks the same as Cyber-Akuma but his tech-armor is golden.
Cyber Akuma/ Mech Gouki is easy to beat in the Arcade BUT in PS1 he is very hard almost as Onslaught (he is the hardest in any version) Thanks a lot for the video!!! :)

How I know that too is because if you're playing on normal or higher every time he has meter he's going to use his force field super and every time he's in the air he does his magnetic blast attack

They should just make a new X-Men vs Street Fighter game. It makes things simpler in terms of copyright laws, and stuff like that.
I don't know what copyrights issue you're referring to but Marvel Comics itself owns its all comic rights and the games are a collab between Marvel Comics and Capcom alone. Marvel can easily lend any comic characters that it want to promote (or in case of Shuma, if Capcom staff asked nicely and hard enough).
The problem why Infinite doesn't have any X-Men/F4 rep happens not because they can't use them, but Marvel CEO Ike Perlmutter doesn't want to promote them because Marvel's own studio didn't make the movies. And any future titles hinge on how willing Marvel to cooperate with Capcom qgain after Infinite bombed.

When I was 12, playing Marvel Super Heroes was my first introduction to Thanos. That was back in the 90s

This is very true, I knew very little of Thanos before the movie came out. I knew his power of him and my friends brother had to tell me about his power through the comic books of Thanos. I did not know he was one of the strongest characters EVER.

@Roberto-hp1ee I think it's because now comic books don't have the same appeal as they did and when movies come out its like the standard of whi the character kinda is in Public eye of characters. Most ppl never knew who Thanos was until Infinity War came out.

Ultron Omega is as close as we'll ever get to a true Street Fighter/CAPCOM x Mobile Fighter G Gundam crossover. He resembles the Devil (Dark in the English Dub) Gundam.

Man you have all these cool fights that keep you on your toes and have to keep the pressure up before the boss beats you. Then Ultron Sigma just drags and takes forever and doesn't even have that much variety. Not even like another phase.

I consider cyber Akuma tougher boss then any other bosses of Marvel versus Capcom. I consider him more powerful than up abyss and Onslaught.
I have never really questioned it before, but why did they make magneto a super saiyan? His move set feels like vegeta and frieza thrown in a blender.
Abyss was fun. I had an easy strategy to beag him.
Round 1 use sabertooth. Everytime he stops use berserker claw to get behind him.
Round 2 use cable to combat his keepaway game.
Round 3 use any character with a high hit count projectile super. Ironman and bb hood are good for this. If you chose cable and sabertooth's projectile assists and saved all super meter, get him on the screen and unleash the 3 supers at once. 2 times should end the fight easily enough.
Mech-Gouki y Abyss me traen muchos recuerdos de adolescente que iba y gastaba muchas fichas, respecto al último no lo había visto antes, pero me pareció muy extenso y aburrído el combate, no quito que este mejor en muchas cosas pero solo eso. Excelente video 👌

Ultron Omega was a Mind-Blowing idea for the endgame boss in Infinite!
Ultron-Sigma is honestly an amazing character to fight as a final boss. A combination of Marvel's and Capcom's leading mechanical menaces into something greater than the sum of the two, and an amazing representation of how far Marvel vs Capcom has come as a game series.
It's just a shame then that MvC's current state is a hot mess that so far has ended on a mediocre at best entry that locked STORY-CENTRIC CHARACTERS behind paid DLC.
