So in a recent development, Storm Collectibles recently announced a 1/12th line for their figures. Initially it seemed to be just their Street Fighter and Baki lines, but as we’ve learned it also now applies to King of Fighters and even more shockingly, Darkstalkers. Very excited to see we finally get a to scale Morrigan. Also to solve some roster issues for some of the Capcom characters, figures exist from the SH Figuarts line, although they’re predominantly from their SFV interpretations of the characters. So it helps add characters like Sakura to the lineup. However aftermarket is very pricey.

You can count me as another person who'd be interested in a part 2 covering 3 and infinite (and maybe Tatsunoko as well) Additionally, this year there was a bit of a trend of content creators making their own rosters for a hypothetical new MvC. Perhaps you could do something like that, with the twist that you can only pick characters you own a figure of?
That's a good twist on it! I did do a dream roster on a live stream a couple months back, but didn't stick to just characters I have figures of. That's a cool idea
Personally, I used the old Sota Street Fighter figures for my small MvC collection, since they’re pretty much in scale with Marvel Legends, have Street Fighter Alpha/Zero era characters like Dan and Sakura (as well as Dark Sakura and Mech Zangief, characters that are synonymous with the MvC games), and the Ken figure has a SFA/SFZ era head (which is the look used for the MvC games). The only real downside is that some of them are pretty hard to find for a decent price nowadays, and some of those figures can be pretty fragile.
As a Marvel VS Capcom fan, this was fun to watch and it also reignited the spark for me to start collecting Marvel Legends for the first time since 2016
Yeah. Though I have not ordered any Marvel Legends of characters who show up in the VS games just yet. As for who I did order, I decided that my first 3 ML figures would be Kamala Khan AKA Ms. Marvel, Bishop and The Beyonder. Full disclosure: I have not read a lot of Marvel comics, but Kamala, Bishop and Beyonder would work well as newcomers in Marvel VS Capcom if the series were to come back with a brand new game

Had some thoughts on alternative options and once you brought up kotobukiya and kits, I've had thoughts on (and have) some simple kit bashes that could suffice until something better comes along... if ever. 7:32 I know you said any, but a better color match than the 80th is the ultimate cap from the Puff adder BAF wave. 7:54 I think the hair version could be the 8:40 I was happy with the announcement, but a bit disappointed with the height of this BAF (should be taller, lineup at 10:00 helps that stand out). I got an extra head and tried it in a demogorgon that I was gonna spray paint, I might chase down one of those ML externals Kro deluxes for a head swap (should be cheap enough these days). 8:48 there's a 2pack statue set, but yeah, hope for a figure. 11:03 I had a diamond select before the 2pack, but like the height of the former better, despite the latter having FAR BETTER articulation. As for 11:11, head swap a ML Sharon Carter on an AoA Jean Grey buck, with one of the early McFarlane Warhammer guns. 11:40 Storm Arena is doing the Alpha decos in the 6inch scale, and have shown pics for Ken & Ryu. Older figs from SOTA have Alpha head sculpt options. 12:22 Resaurus for a literal standin, since their limited posability is on par with older McFarlane. NECA did release alternate Guile deco with a Chalie vest, I suppose headswapping a resaurus Charlie onto that NECA buck could be a better than nothing. 14:56 SOTA had some alternate decos, but jada probably will release some of these as exclusives for a store. 17:19 I wonder how the D-ARTS versions scale, since they have a Rush figure option. The 66 blindbox kits did megaman figs too, and while they might be too small, the ride armors could work for 21:11 (either repaint, or use as a color variant).
I've seen several others attempt to take on MVC collections, but I gotta say I like your video and your reason behind each figure the most. However, I woud prefer the retro card War Machine instead of the Modular Armor repaint . I know he is a recolor of Iron Man sprite from previous game but the artwork in MVC is the accurate 90's comic look of him Anyway, you've earned my subscribe! Please keep going with MVC3 and Infinite
This year is definitely the biggest win for Marvel Vs Capcom fans and you absolutely made a wonderful job putting these guys together based on accessibility even if this was a very Marvel and Street Fighter list. Jada has been serving up the Capcom end which I’m looking to see how much more they can do. On a side note, Playmates also has Street Fighter figures with their TMNT collab as another possible option. As a dedicated Captain America fan, any of the 3 releases based on his classic suit would work. I just got the Secret Wars one last Sunday and it’s definitely got its own charm and benefits with the heads being more expressive from the usual stern focused look for Cap as well as the brighter blue between the 3. For a replacement shield, I used the one that came from the 2013 Ultimate Captain America release as that has a very metallic look on both front and back which I took a page from the first retro card release but if you want one with straps then any of the MCU Cap figures will assist with that. This video is my intro to your channel and you just earned yourself a sub.
Man, for years I have hoped Hasbro would do a dedicated MVC figure line with Capcom's designs but it doesn't look like it will ever happen and piecing a collection together like this is the only way.
Absolutely love these videos, they're such a blast to watch. Just a heads up that Storm Collectibles is working on a new sub-line (Storm Arena) of 1:12/6-inch scale figures and their first two are actually Alpha Ken and Ryu. Early test models were shown at a con a month or so ago and they'll, hopefully, fit right in with these! Also, you mentioned that the Legends are a bit taller than the Jadas, how do the SH Figuarts scale with them? I mention this because I believe the D-Arts (the precursor to SHF) Mega Man would probably fit in well with these guys. Failing that, the upcoming MDLX figure from ThreeZero might also fit the bill! I'm really hoping Jada gets the Darkstalkers license and continues with the quality they've been putting out with their SF stuff. Failing that, maybe Storm will add Darkstalkers to their Storm Arena line?

You forgot Jean who shows up in COTA. As for Zangief and some characters not available in Jada’s line, Storm Collectibles has a Zangief (which is hard to get now with his red trunks, but his blue trunks version is easier) and Colossus and Juggernaut from Marvel Select are good alternatives if Legends’ version is hard to find. For Gold War Machine, it’s meant to be Iron Man MK2 armor and Red Venom is supposed to be Carnage (because Orange Hulk is a nod to The Thing). Son Son is a “new version” of the original game, but Ruby and Amingo are original characters for MvC2.
@ yeah and the articulation and accessories are perfect for MvC poses, my only gripe with it is that the blue is painted and runs off easily around the legs and arms, so you gotta be careful with it

I think it would be cool if we got Marvel Legends line based solely on the Punisher game, y'know, because it's a smaller game and it doesn't have a lot of characters. For example, the line would be something like this, not including Pretty Boy, Bonebreaker and Buswhacker: - The Punisher - Nick Fury - Scully - Jigsaw - Shinobi (yeah, the female enemies are surprisingly popular on Pixiv, they could even make two color variants) - The Kingpin BAF: Guardroid

Werewolf Captain America has no chain mail scales, a smaller shield and arm straps like his MSH vs SF artwork. Its a better candidate for MVC Captain America imo
I actually was curious to see how Marvel 3 would fair due to a lot of characters in the Marvel side getting their more recent designs, which would mean certain figures like Wolverine and Iron Man would have to be swapped out
we have servebot figures. they about 2". also, servbot key chain figures they are about 1/12". very limited articulation. if you want to do " king servbot" hyper combo...theres a servbot peggy bank. very hard to find.
There’s some marvel VS street fighter figures that would match the look of the original designs … they run kind of expensive on eBay … but they would complete the roster some how ..

You can use HeroClix Shuma Gorath. In MvC2 he is green as player 1 and in MSH player 2 is green so it works.
