I like Jazz's movie design, but I agree that his alt mode should have been white with the blue/red racing stripes, and keep the silver to the robot mode bits

What a scene and especially what a soundtrack. So happy about this set. Ironhide and Jazz MVPs and Optimus with the blades is a fine addition for anyone who wants the blades but disliked the goofy chest ROTF version.
We need leader class-sized versions of the Studio Series live-action movie Transformers character figures. That way they can look more movie model-accurate in both robot and alt modes.
God this set is beautiful. As someone who’s fairly new to collecting, I’ll definitely pick this up, and probably SS 49 as well because I agree, this bumblebee is the one thing that they absolutely dropped the ball on for this set
I'd rather they charged more and just gave these guys all of their missing paint apps. Another $10 for paint would have been MORE than enough to fix up these characters. I can use masking tape and paint silver easily enough, but color matching the blue on Prime's legs accurately is going to be VERY difficult.
That dark blue with prime is so beautiful! I do wish we got a similiar scheme like the premium version but same with the black windows! Prime with black windows is gorgeous

I don’t mind the colors cause so far every studio series figure I own that has paint are already chipping off after having it for a year not only that dotm soundwave already starting to chip off so I think it’s great for the longevity
Love or hate the BayVerse movies, the first movie is what got me into Transformers in the first place. I might have to order this especially since I missed out on all of these guys!
I think the Decepticon pack needs to be released in 2 sets coz the decepticons are larger vehicles and bots. But I'm still Hoping Hasbro can still add the missing paint apps since they did that on ER Optimus Prime's hands.

Great pack and great review. After seeing these up close and out the packaging I'm definitely picking this up. Was sad to see the paint apps missing on Optimus legs wasn't just missing from the pictures and the final version would have them but never mind. As for bumblebee he's the only one I'll replace with another version as he does lack the quality the others have. But a small price to pay considering the price of the others on the after market now.
I’ve been collecting transformers for ruffly the last year, and I’ve only recently began collecting studio series figures, so I am very excited for this pack.
With transformers you’ll probably never get better than custom paint work. Example, the studio series 2007 prime looked pretty mid, but I gave it a nice movie accurate paint job with the orange fades and all the flames, and it looks amazing.
I had ordered this set at the first moment when I saw the release notice.However ,when I compared these characters with originals ,the paint job was really disappointing me,but after watching this closer review,Damn I am so so excited to get this set ASAP.
I just preordered this, I’m so excited, I’m glad I put off buying the single ‘07 movie SS releases that I could afford. Ironhide and the Bayverse Optimus figures are so damn expensive that this is a life saver, I can finally add these guys to my collection.
I hope that they continue this with the rest of the movies so we can get thr different versions of the figures together as well, especially for characters like Ironhide, Sideswipe, and Optimus Prime. I originally got the jetwing Optimus but the tab that kept the grill together kept snapping off for me and I literally went through three of those figures until I just couldn't get him for a reasonable price/exchange him anymore.
One thing that i really appreciate this set for is giving all of them the dark tinted windows. Works so much better than the straight clear windows that some of ths original figures had
Amazing review! I dont mind the unpainted bits on prime and I love the tinted windows on all the figures. Ironhide, Jazz, and Ratchet are all improvements IMO so I'm super excited to get them. However in terms of bumblebee, do you think its better to get the dark of the moon one instead? Also is the shade of yellow the same for those two? Im wondering if I can headswap because I do prefer the head on this one. I would get ss49 but I know the clear plastic on some of those figures was pretty fragile when that figure was released. overall Im super excited to get this set! thanks for the great review
I would love to see a video game set where it’s all new molds of characters from the various games. A warpath figure from DOTM, breakaway from ROTF, some of the drones even, I just think those designs in particular could be fantastic figures
I think what I’m going to do is mix and match the best painted parts, or the parts I prefer (ratchet’s new head on the original body, Optimus’s transparent windows on the ss44 body, etc) and then keep the leftovers in storage

Paint is always a dropped bar, you only get some of the touches, never all of them. Still, I an glad to have a chance to get this pack. Missed out on the si gle releases. This is great for catch up. A RotF and more would be nice too.
If the bumblebee had more black and a chrome color instead of flat gray, it would be perfect, either way I love this box set and I’m gonna have to try to pick it up

While yes the bee is a little inaccurate I do think the gray on him looks really nice kind of especially the shiny parts and I like how they gave him that new head and I owned the ss49 but it broke and while it’s not as good painted as the other one it’s not the worst and plus bee is my favorite so I will pretty much always love a figure of him but I never got a chance for any of the other ones so I might pick this up! My copy had a Bee with a broken right door- like part of it is chipped and loose, but it keeps coming off when I move it. Everything else is good- Ironhide and Optimus especially! Time to get SS-49 too?

In most cases. Whenever a reissue of a bumblebee figure is released. The paint gets nerfed compared to the original and here are the cases I could think of on top of my head. AOE Bumblebee > TLK Bumblebee TLK new mold Bumblebee > Studio series bumblebee two pack Ss01 Bumblebee > Bumblebee with Charlie.
Here is a strange question: how does this version of jass's paint application feel?, I ask because I have the original and his paint has scratched off do to transformations, I am wondering if this jass has a more durable paint coating.
I am actually going to do the same thing with the prime included in the set, I have the dotm prime combined with the trailer stuff so been planning on this set to replace my broken Bee, use the prime to combine with jet fire, and I missed the other 3 figures so finally have a chance to get them. On new one of the back window wing parts broke on mine, and considering I have the dna design upgrade kit that included accessories for it I’m hoping to replace the bee
Considering that I have the buzzworthy bumblebee I think I’ll probably switch parts out like the feet (which will be a pain) the head and probably paint the wheels and switch it

Jazz is truly one of the best redisgns of the Bay films. That headsculpt is indeed a Bayversified G1 Jazz. There's no mistaking him.
My only real gripes with Jazz are the hands and lack of color compared to the other Autobots.

I think SS Ironhide is much better that the MPM version and much more easy to transform and not feel like it’s going to break apart

The thing about the shade of gold on jazz is that the one on the original release is actually more movie accurate than the one on the 5-pack release.

How are the ball joints on ratchets hips? That's one major problem I noticed with the retail release of studio series 2007 ratchet.
When do you plan on doing a review of the 2009/2011 Leader Prime. It would be nice to see how he holds up against the 3rd party figures of today .
