@@PlatinumKnight-je3vy Maybe, but it doesn't bother me as much personally though since I usually never display Transformers in vehicle mode (unless I'm taking pictures) and for some reason I never got annoyed with paint chipping
Looking at SS Prime, I think the problem I have with him is his size. Ironhide is, like you said, out of scale with Prime, but he is decent size bigger than the others. Prime, on the other hand, was massive in the film, and even Ratchet size is too big compared to a semi. Optimus just looks out of scale with the rest. At the same time though, I don't know what a SS Leader Class Prime would even be without it just being the MPM, which was basically a cleaned up version of the ROTF leader, and that one was re-released and redecoed to hell and back.
Regarding Ironhide's wheels, there is a tab that takes a fair bit of force to make them flush with the bottom of the feet and solves the wobbling. I'm honestly glad that the three molds I care about survived the QC goblins relatively unscathed (aside from Prime's grill tab snapping off from the stress and tolerances) and the major issues were with Bee and Ratchet who I already have replacements for in my collection.
Our opinions on this set are virtually the exact same, lol. I was not expecting for jazz to be my favorite of the set, but he's just so fun. I customized my figures (albiet not the most professionally, just some paint and a fine-tip brush) and it majorly improves the look of them.
The grill on my Jazz from this set is SUPER loose and doesn’t stay pressed in whether in robot or alt mode. So, I had to just put a tad bit of wall tack behind it so it doesn’t flop around
I’d actually love this intro as the standard, the figure at the front with footage of them in the back like this, really cool, reminds you of who the toys are really
I own this set and I’ve also had the chipped paint on the headlight of Ironhide on my copy, Hasbro should’ve put a little more space between the figures and the cardboard in front of them. Ironhide and Jazz feel and look the best in the set when Bumblebee’s the clear weak link of it. Hope Hasbro do more anniversary sets after this all the way up to Last Knight, it was a good tribute to 07 and they could as easily do that for the other four movies and potentially Bumblebee?!
I don't know if they'd do Autobots for ROTF and DOTM just because there is so many of them in those movies. AOE and TLK they probably could pull it off. But that would be nice having anniversary sets (maybe bringing back more human figures because we only have Charlie and Sam from SS74)
Also for ironhide you have to press a little bit more on the tires and then they will tab in completely I figured that out because I had the same issue as you did with the original mold
Maybe I'm just lucky but my pack had no QC issues or paint chipping other than bumblebee being slightly too lose. Im personally really satisfied but I see why the rampant QC issues would turn some people away. Jazz is easily my favorite, then ironhide, prime (i got some toyhax with him), bumblebee, then ratchet. I prefer the decos (except on bumblbee, though not bad imo) and espiecally the tinted windows on all of them and overall think this pack is full worth the price and am so happy to own it.

6:05 no they were right for that it isn’t in the film. And in the original figure they put blue paint for where eye was supposed to be, and it just didn’t look right
This box set has me feeling mixed. On my first copy, Prime's head was broken off right out of the box. On my second copy Ironhide and Jazz suffered from paint chips. But like, Ironhide, Jazz, and Prime brought me so much joy just messing with them that it kinda makes me forgive the issues I had, but boy did it not give a good first impression.
Ironhide isn't too big, optimus is too small. Modern voyager primes/cabovers have this issue where they are shrunk down a bit to fit into the price point. In scale prime should be a couple inches taller
I was lucky enough to find all the original releases of these. Only ever found one ironhide and bought it of course. I believe it was only one per case. Jazz is my favorite. The mechtech dotm ratchet to me is a better figure. He’s also slightly bigger in vehicle mode than studio series. Good stuff

I think I’m like the one person on Earth who doesn’t mind paint chipping all that much. Let’s not pretend that these robots going into war aren’t getting scratched up all the time.
I wish I knew about the grill for my copy before I tried transforming Optimus back to robot mode.. *Overall I am obsessed with this box set and I did a bit of paint jobs!*
5:50 Well actually Ironhide isn't too big, that is problem with size of prime. He's too small. And you will notice that if you watch the film, Prime was almost 2 times bigger then bumblebee, while here he's pretty much the same size as Ironhide, who always was a big bot, so that's not surprise that he looks massive in front of other autobots. Come on, look at the real life truck, that peterbilt is gigantic, while here it's the same size as camaro... I think size of ROTF leader is closest Optimus to some of those SS figures. And yes, I think that Megatron also needs bigger figure in this line.
I burst into tears😭 I love the intro and bayverse trilogy. When I was in the primary school I have watched the first movie and rotf for almost thirty times. But I think the paint apps on these guys are pretty weak... Considering it's the 15th anniversary pack. The distinction get stronger when u compare it to the AOE five pack......
I am glad I was warned about the tab on Prime. I shaved it down before I transformed it. It is too tight of a fit and I can see why so many get snapped off. My Ironhide also had the same paint rub on the lights. Amazon does give the option to ship in an Amazon box, I noticed that too late though. The loose joints don’t bother me that much since I just use display stands. I do like how most Transformers have connection holes for stands now.
Here I thought I was the only one who had issues with these figures. All of mine came broken or with issues one way or another. Some of Optimus' hinges came broken right out of the box, along with the front grill scratched by the carton box like yours. I can notice it on 12:04 at the top left of Optimus' grill. Bumblebee's door came broken, and had ink droplets on the front bumper. Jazz came with a broken antenna from his head, Ratchet's joints came very flimsy and the pieces weren't cleanly cut, and Ironhide looks scratched all around. I always wondered how mine had the paint chipping on the front light, now I know. Great review. It is worth it for the rare figures, but the quality control is very bad. I too wish they would've released these in December to have them do more quality control before shipping... But overall, the quality control and experience has been decreasing while prices continue going up...
I agree totally with the rankings, though sometimes I put Jazz first. I also broke the tab. Bumblebee is so frustrating for all the reasons you mentioned. It's not just your copy.
@@Powertrigger5000 Also, I think they just released a new Bonecrusher in the Nest/Buzzworthy Bumblebee line. As seen here: th-cam.com/video/YW6j7rI50Wc/w-d-xo.html
When I got mine from Amazon, I selected the option to have it arrive in an Amazon box and funny enough, they just threw it into a much larger box without any padding so the whole thing was just being jostled around violently. I guess I must’ve been lucky or something cuz all of my figures have very perfectly tight joints with the only problem being on ironhide’s orange side markers having mad paint chipping on both sides for obvious reasons.
These are pretty decent actually (besides Bee.), And I am still a firm believer Prime should have been a Leader Class. Semi Trucks aren't just that small. While Ironhide is a bit big, I feel like it would be less noticeable if Prime was the proper scale.
Hey, so I JUST found out, you can deal with Iron Hide's wobble by pushing the wheels in more. They actually have a tab and it gets rid of the wobbling!
I will give my personal anecdote on this set, from my experience. Honestly, I love every figure here, and I do find them a lot of fun. I agree with Ratchet's loose hips, bumblebee's overall looseness, the kibbly look of Optimus' sides, and the poseability problems with Ironhide, yes, every single one of them has their issues.. But dear god this set's clear plastic has been the WORST. Especially on the Bumblebee. I had to buy a replacement off-hand figure, because BOTH doors on my original developed cracks from normal transformation. Then there was Jazz, where the back of the car is now a partsforming piece (but that one is my fault) Also somehow, one of my Optimus' knees (at the back) developed a crack, but it still poses fine, just looser now- And I have the same breakage issue on the grill (which yeah, my fault too.) Overall, I've been both, in love, and quite frustrated with this set. If it meant durability, I'd absolutely get rid of all of the clear plastic in favor for opaque plastic. It's given me headache. (Edit) My Ratchet has ALSO broken, the clear strut holding the door assembly in place just snapped! I'd go for a studio series DOTM ratchet, but.. *_Yeah the aftermarket strikes again_*
I still have my first edition movie bumblebee, his paint has thankfully held up and other than having to tighten his torso ball joint ive had no real issues and im glad for that.
I'm thankful to be able to get this set for my birthday. Unfortunately I too suffered some qc issues with my ratchet and even broke the grill tab on my Optimus.
Fortunately Toyhax is restocking the ss32-ss44 label set and I was just able to grab two for this set and the buzzworthy ss44 when it drops. The DNA set for Ironhide was in stock at BBTS when this came up for pre-order thankfully so I had it waiting. Fortunately I had it as my Ironhides toes did not survive Amazon shipping. After Motormasters box being 3x the size it needed to be, this packaging was actually insulting. Almost every review spoke of damage in the package. This being an anniversary set with several scalper priced bots, I would have paid 149 to have it packed safely.
On My bumblebee from this pack, one of the doors broke in the package and idk if I should ask for a replacement cause I have the dotm figure which is imo 100% better than this packs shit version
This was my childhood I grew up watching the movies and the cartoons I was born 2001 bro Ironhide was my favorite then he died I'm also into ninjago 😂😂 jazz was my favorite too
Highly recommend the DNA Upgrade kit for SS Ironhide if you can find one. Takes care of the front bumper, gives him ankle pivots, and as a bonus you get Heavy Iron 1 and 2 from Dark of the Moon...as well as two combat knives for some reason.
The Bumblebee from the original movie has never gotten the love he deserves. I do have SS 49 bee though, and I think we can all agree that he is not okay. After about a month and a half, his doors broke off completely, so now I have to get a new one.
Just got a bunch of my old Transformers toys out of a plastic tote that was in the attic for 25 years and none of my old G1 toys had any chipping. The worst part was the hands on Scattershot had faded and thats it.
I have a very similar Bumblebee. It hard to say whether or not it is the exact same mold as there have been many variations. But he is a nightmare to Transform even without loose joints.
Well, you saved me $140 USD here. From this set, Bumblebee and Ratchet are letdowns, Ironhide (while rare) has issues and the lack of paint of Prime is disappointing. Jazz is the only decent one. If this was like half the price, I'd be down, but as is, no way. They should have done a premium finish of all 5 figures as a set instead.
On my copy of Ironhide, the left elbow was so loose that the cannon would literally twist it in the opposite direction, and the left arm overall sucked because the Brake Disk wouldn't pop out, the previous elbow, and the cannon would NEVER stay on.
I think Jazz actually has a kibble fix where the spoiler and tail lights would be in their proper place in the back and the hardtop can be removed and used as a shield
He not to far of hight wise. A smidge to tall. I think the main issue is a bit of a optical illusion with the bumber in the middle, so he looks like an absolute unit and doesn't get skinny towards the waist like he does in the movie or how primes waist goes. It makes him feel sustainably more bulky than Prime
@@ellismark2750 Yeah, i agree on the robot mode. I think its because of the chest having to be so large in robot mode, they have to make him that big in truck mode. My veiw on him might be a bit skewed because ive got blackout standing next to them, and he makes everything look small.
@@ellismark2750 The both are. Iron hides too big and optimus is way to small. The best ay i can describe ironhides perfect hight scale wise would be if his head came up to the bottom of the blue bits on primes shoulders
i wish i can find my studio series clunker bee and ratchet, if i find those 2 id complete the 07 autobots, also from what i remember my rachet never had loose joints, it sucks you got a bad ratchet
My ironhide's front light also chipped, my bumblebee's lower legs are ultra loose plus none of its tabs can line up so alt mode is never able to look nice, and it has some of the sloppiest paintwork I've seen on a tf figure my whole life, my ratchet's right leg was not even attached to the figure in the box, plus if you touch the figure, the leg will fall off, and my box was completely mauled by FedEx so it was a struggle just to get the box out of the packaging box, but I still love the pack though, ironhide is a nice standing figure, prime for posing plus Jet-Powered Prime, and jazz is super fun to transform
The tab on prime's grill is almost 100% guaranteed that it will break, it has happened to quite some people already, and if it doesn't break then the tolerances will make it extremely hard to make the grill look good on truck mode.
Ironhide made this set worth it as it was the only one I was lacking. Sure wish I knew why they never did a RoTF or DoTM IH. I like the yellow ratchet is molded in compared to PF, which is too bright. But his tolerances are perfect where as this set's are terrible. Jazz arrived with a huge gash of scraped paint on top of the car which bothered me so much I did a replacement return and the second set got scratched too, though not as bad. I broke the tab on my prime as well. I was just trying to wiggle it apart too, it's simply toleranced too tight and strongly urge sanding the tabs town even if you already know what direction to unclasp them. BB's windows are a nightmare as always to tab into car mode, and I suspect prone to breaking like all the other versions of this mold.
They should really make a new mold for Jazz that fixes that backpack or simply to improve the re existing one so I don't have to spend well over 100$ for one figure lol
Lovely work on this one. Amazon had sent mine in the Hasbro mailer, so it wasn't at all padded or anything, and I heard something rattling around in the box when I picked it up from the post office... Sure enough, something had broken, because my Optimus in this box set had his head broken clean off at the neck... (Damn you and your clear plastic, Hasbro, lol) Thankfully, it wasn't a TOTAL loss, because I already had a copy of SS44 Prime that was missing pieces. Just scavenged the pieces off of the Prime from this box set, slapped them onto the (better painted) DOTM Prime, and called it good for display.
Never noticed SS Ironhide was too big. I always thought (still think) Prime is too small. Both in robot and vehicle mode, I feel like he’s tiny compared to the other Autobots. The Battle Blades Prime feels better sized than the SS version
Glad I’m not the only one who hates SS bumblebee. Like, no matter what people tell me, we did not get a good as bumblebee toy until SS100. Every other one has issues tabbing together, parts falling off, transformations that should be easy but are made super difficult, and overall just not good representations of bee. The ROTB SS Bee was the first SS bee I actually like, because he’s well made and holds together very well. Had the SS Bee’s had more pinned parts, especially on the doors with those annoying parts on them that fall off, and the removable arm/cannon gimmick was removed in favor of a clip on cannon, the figures could have been a fair bit better. Also, the SS ratchet mold is SUPER disrespectful to the DOTM deluxe mold it’s based on. It took that amazing mold, and managed to screw it up completely…
Guess the grill tab on prime is a common issue with him. Lol Also, the left light on my Ironhide chipped because they put a little too much paint and it flaked off as soon as I took him out
I get why some think Ironhide isn’t great but personally I really like this mold. It might me my favorite of the SS Bayverse figures I own. I think they knocked him out of the park.
Glorious intro wish I’d picked this up when I had the chance 😢
Bumblebee movie arcee can pooth just rotate her head around 😂
Ngl that intro kinda goated, got nostalgic for something I barely remember watching.
Now that intro was beautiful puré nostalgia for me
Now they just need to release a decepticon version with Megatron, Starscream, Brawl, Blackout, and Barricade
What about Bonecrusher?
@@Powertrigger5000 Or Bonecrusher. As long as it has Megatron, Starscream, Blackout, and Barricade I don't care who the 5th one is.
@@Powertrigger5000 Also, I think they just released a new Bonecrusher in the Nest/Buzzworthy Bumblebee line. As seen here:

@@wayneigoe6722 nah you predicted the future with all the characters
@@Sharkwave23 Wait, for real? I was just guessing for a wishlist...
The intro made me wanna watch Transformers 2007 again great job
But is easy to know what’s 05 to 32 because 05 has a second couler on the grill
Honestly, they should have made a decepticon pack too, I would have actually bought that.
That intro was amazing
These are pretty decent actually (besides Bee.), And I am still a firm believer Prime should have been a Leader Class. Semi Trucks aren't just that small. While Ironhide is a bit big, I feel like it would be less noticeable if Prime was the proper scale.
Hey, so I JUST found out, you can deal with Iron Hide's wobble by pushing the wheels in more. They actually have a tab and it gets rid of the wobbling!
I broke into tears for this intro remembering me and my brother watching this movie together
Then there was Jazz, where the back of the car is now a partsforming piece (but that one is my fault)
Also somehow, one of my Optimus' knees (at the back) developed a crack, but it still poses fine, just looser now-
And I have the same breakage issue on the grill (which yeah, my fault too.)
Overall, I've been both, in love, and quite frustrated with this set.
Even though I’m not the biggest movie fan I do highly respect the first movie and I’m kinda sad I missed out on it
to make ironhide do a wider stance you can just put the wheels back in vehicle configuration, makes a flat surface and is a lot more stable
Out of all of these, I only want Jazz. Favorite character in the movie by far
I hate it when paint scratches I had finally gotten a legacy cosmos but the moment I opened him his right arm was completely scratched up
I hope they do this for the cons, highly unlikely since most of them are Voyager Classes
I still hope they’ll do that
The Bumblebee from the original movie has never gotten the love he deserves.
They made Ironhide a little bigger from the third part onwards. You can see this especially in his death scene when he stands in front of Sentinel.
The tires on ironhide’s feet actually tabs in if you didn’t know which gives it the proper angle.
The whole intro makes this the best review of all time. I wanna know what remix it is
Well, you saved me $140 USD here.
THE INTRO WAS PURE FLAMES
(2:28) damn... lil bro tryna escape captivity 💀💀💀
I think Jazz actually has a kibble fix where the spoiler and tail lights would be in their proper place in the back and the hardtop can be removed and used as a shield
I always say:
*its not paint chipping, it’s battle damage.*
I can never unsee now how HUGE Ironhide is
He not to far of hight wise. A smidge to tall. I think the main issue is a bit of a optical illusion with the bumber in the middle, so he looks like an absolute unit and doesn't get skinny towards the waist like he does in the movie or how primes waist goes. It makes him feel sustainably more bulky than Prime
@@dylanburston7453 i dont actually have much of a problem with the scale of his robot mode, but his vehicle mode now distracts me
@@ellismark2750 Yeah, i agree on the robot mode. I think its because of the chest having to be so large in robot mode, they have to make him that big in truck mode.
My veiw on him might be a bit skewed because ive got blackout standing next to them, and he makes everything look small.
Actually, the more i look into it, the more I think that it is optimus who is out of scale, not ironhide( at least vehicle mode)
If I got this set, I would have gotten it for Jazz. The paint job has improved and looks better than the original Studio Series release.
You can push the wheels in more on his feet. Once you do that he actually stands just fine
I got this set and Optimus’ head was broken off and everyone else had stupidly loose joints 😞
My first ironhide came with a broken knee from being so tightly packed and getting tossed during shipping, but my replacement came in fine
(Damn you and your clear plastic, Hasbro, lol)
Thankfully, it wasn't a TOTAL loss, because I already had a copy of SS44 Prime that was missing pieces.
It’s not Ironhide’s problem, it’s Prime’s. Optimus is just too small!
I gotta disagree on ironhides truck mode being too big. Its actually primes being too small
Ironhide posing is like that because it’s the way he was designed and the way the cgi is too
Guess the grill tab on prime is a common issue with him. Lol Also, the left light on my Ironhide chipped because they put a little too much paint and it flaked off as soon as I took him out
Just a thing I noticed when unboxing skytread from siege It splits into 2 parts lol
