Ironically, I have legacy knockout, earthrise hoist, and legacy detritus. I never saw sunstreaker or Trailbreaker and flat out passed on jazz and wheeljack. At least now I can back collecting with this pack.

I completely agree! They also probably wanted to make a more uniform set of characters because I think going forwards, clear plastic will be phased out when it comes to SS86

I really prefer th originals. Bot a huge fan of the bright blue windows. The windows look worse in vehicle mode on models like Wheeljack and Sunstreaker where there a black lines joins. Just gonna wait for hound to be released on SS86 model.
Earthrise Wheeljack looks like you keep your collection in a house with a 3 pack a day smoker. Some aftermarket stickers help fill in Wheeljack's blank spaces.
Just got this in today. I already had Earthrise Wheeljack but I bought the bullet and went in because I absolutely needed Sunstreaker. Hound is funny because he was never one of my fav G1 characters but it’s surprising how much I like his figure now that I have it in hand. Gonna research more about him
I wish Hasbro would do more of the painted windows on figure rather than the translucent plastic windows unless they were willing to repeat what they did with the studio series RotB Bumblebee where the translucent plastic is a separate piece! (unfortunately that last option might be too expensive)
I actually only own the Wheeljack. Might have to pick this up. Primarily interested in Hound and Jazz. I am still rocking Classics Hound as my main Hound. Though there are a lot of others I need to pick up this year.
I have Wheeljack and an unopened Trailbreaker. I am glad I never opened my WFC Trailbreaker because now I can probably sell him for about half of what this set will cost me. So glad I will have a chance to get Sunstreaker and Jazz though! And with some improvements! Thanks for the video. I’m excited to get home to my box that just arrived.
i just got back into collecting transformers going for the ss86 line so these 5 pack really helps me fill out the collection for g1 updated figures jazz alone is going close to 75 for ss86 but this pack is 100 so win for me

I have a sneaking feeling that Hasbro will repaint Hound into his G1 figure paint job with a clear windshield and release him individually in the Buzzworthy line just as originally planned. (grunt) After Hound my second favorite figure from this box set is Jazz. lol Keep on being amazing.
As someone has non of these figures. I try to keep my collection extremely small (Only absolute favorites). I was initially excited for hound and Wheeljack but after this review, I feel Jazz is the standout. The Paint and deco is really clean on that figure definitely feel Wheeljack needed more deco for the car mode, I might try and find the Cybertron altmode instead. also the painted windows is much better that the clear plastic on all the figures.
I personally think Wheeljack looks really good. I'm never a fan of unnecessary design elements. That's one beautiful thing about these G1 Transformers-- the simplicity. Also, the only figures from this set I've had are Jazz and Wheeljack, so I'm excited to get this set.

I bought the pack 2 weeks ago on Amazon and it should arrive on Wednesday but I haven’t gotten any news on it being shipped. If only Wheeljack had the pristine colours and all-plastic build of the Legacy figure with the extra details and sponsorship decals of the ER figure, then the resulting figure would've been perfect
For vehicle modes, I prefer the erathrise ver of them all😂. Btw, there is NO down-force wing for Sun streaker, Hasbro just left two holes there (should give us some accessories like two blades or so), then they pain the rear TRUNK/BUMPER w silver, LAZY 😢😢😢
This 5-pack is SO worth it!! I've only got Jazz, & having another ain't a bad thing! & more importantly, all 5 of these dudes look great! Wheeljack should've had more paint/tampographs, but hes pretty good as is. Sunny is GREAT, Hound is perfect (glad to finally see him), Trailbreaker is really good, & Jazz is good (slightly above SS86). I love the fact that they finally gave Jackie & Sunny guns. & the price is INSANE! $110 for 5 figures!? Awesome! 5 Deluxes separately would be abt $125, so with this you save $15! That's great value! I really want to grab this set really soon!!!
I will say that I like that this Jazz uses solid plastic for the windows instead of the transparent plastic on the original SS release. I still have the SS version but I wish they would sell the new legacy version separately because the clear plastic on mine has started to crack a bit and I was considering replacing it. I’m still missing Wheeljack and Sunstreaker but I’m planning on getting the original Earthrise versions. As for Hound, I wish they would have made him an entirely new mold because them just doing a repaint/redeco of a “just ok” figure is actually bit of a dealbreaker for me.
Finally they got Sunstreaker right (ugh, that paint job of different shades in the mismatched yellow in the previous release). Digging the silver spoiler too.
What a jam-packed review! I didn’t own these molds before. I would love to though. But I’m currently saving for the new collab party wallop!! Also, I’m saving for the upcoming second set made by LEGO which will be G1 Bumblebee!!!! ( they should make soundwave next cs he would be easy). I am considering picking up this multi-pack because FIRST: I want that Hound figure, and SECOND: I missed it on all of those figures that come with it. Aside from Earthrise Wheeljack.
Definitely depends more so on how many of the other bots you have, and rather or not you want to have the upgraded versions because while it hasn't happened with my 86 Jazz, i can confirm that clear plastic is bad because I was just trying to remove the door wings off my SS 2007 Bumblebee and give him the darker shaded windows of the 5 pack version, and ended up cracking the door wing in the process

I have none of these figures but I do enjoy it when the toys dont use clear plastic as its fragile so I might actually consider getting this bundle, they all look good to me
Checking this video out after restarting my collection, these guys fit so well with ss86 figures. Which is great, considering i doubt well get an ss86 Wheeljack or Trailbreaker.
This was a no-brainer for me, as I only had Sunstreaker (narrowly missed out on Trailbreaker - dithered too long and the store I was going to get him from sold out), and as both he and Jazz are made of better plastic I'm so happy I forked out for this set! Would love to see a second 5 pack, with Prowl, Mirage, Sideswipe, Bluestreak and Ironhide (as Studio 86 Ratchet is still readily available) :)
I missed out on ER Sunstreaker and Trailbreaker (because of the piss poor distribution back in 2020 and that last wave they were in not being available everywhere)
I get to be in the camp that literally owns none of these figures yet so this feels a no brainer. My only complaint is having a collection half with clear plastic like Ironhide, and Skids, and half with painted plastic like Brawn, and these five. Really excited for the prospect of an updated 86 Hound though it could be a while.

I wish that this was an 86 5-pack. It would be sorted as 01 Jazz, 18 Hound, and the earliest available numblers for Sunstreaker, Wheeljack, and 'Concept Art Trailbreaker' since Trailbreaker (and all absent members of the G1 S1 Ark Crew) was planned to appear in but scrapped from the film like tbe Bumblebee Megatron, Rumble and Frenzy, and Sunstreaker, as well as AOE Widow Maker.
Wheeljack is my absolute boi, and he’s no longer suffering from the damn clear plastic, so he’s my main reason why I want to pick this set up. Sadly, I’m more broke than the richest Burundian citizen.

I actually like this myltipack idea. This and Menasor were great. Hopefully that can be the same for devestator or a re release of an insecticon 3 pack.
I dont own any of those originals and im glad i held off. Already got mine preordered and damn do those solid windows ever look great. Total G1 animation vibe and far sharper than the clear plastic.
Was never able to find Streaker or Trailbreaker during their original release and jazz is such an improvement (the roof on mine broke) and with EM Hound was an easy sell for me. That wheel jack is rough though.
When I get the set, then I will have a complete Jazz mold collection. I know theres a reissue of the SS86 one, but I’m not getting that one. Until they come out with a Ricochet
I wanted this five pack because I don’t have any of these characters because I was waiting for animation accurate ones, but by the time I saved up for them they were all sold out and now going for 150-200 dollars.
@PrimeVsPrime pretty sure sideburn was planned way ahead of Omega Prime. There's no way they could've used any of that Haslab income or it's popularity for this figure. It is what it is
If we get a second Autobot multi-pack, I hope get an earth mode Sideswipe, Mirage, and Cliffjumper. A possible 3rd pack could be made up of Mini-bots. It would also be nice to get a Decepticon multi-pack. I imagine it would be the classic Seeker trio(Starscream, Skywarp and Thundercracker), or a more cartoon color accurate Reflactor pack.
I disagree; I do prefer this white Wheeljack. Well, I’m all about toon accuracy. The one I really don’t care for is Trailbreaker. I would have preferred Prowl or Bluestreak. Can’t wait to see the Magmatron review. Great 5-pack review, mate.

Ain’t no way they did a whole remold for Trailbreaker but DIDNT fix those arm panels.
Everything is just a repaint sadly, although I can’t say they bug me too much. I kinda got used to them & they don’t hinder articulation too much
I got both now Lift Ticket and Trailbreaker for comparison. They're both the same, no new improvements with the arms.

My only complaint is having a collection half with clear plastic like Ironhide, and Skids, and half with painted plastic like Brawn, and these five. Really excited for the prospect of an updated 86 Hound though it could be a while.
Wonder how long till one of the 3p upgrade companys give us accesories for hounds jeep back.
SS86 Jazz by itself is half the price of the 5 pack so I’m definitely going to pick this pack up
Thanks for the review! Was considering picking up the pack just for Hound, who has always been my fav transformer, but after watching this, I'll just stick with siege and MP until they dedicate a better mold for him.
Have you considered using Toyhax labels to rebrand the old Jazz into his G2 or Shattered Glass versions, or are you gonna keep both as is?

I wish that this was an 86 5-pack. It would be sorted as 01 Jazz, 18 Hound, and the earliest available numblers for Sunstreaker, Wheeljack, and 'Concept Art Trailbreaker' since Trailbreaker (and all absent members of the G1 S1 Ark Crew) was planned to appear in but scrapped from the film like tbe Bumblebee Megatron, Rumble and Frenzy, and Sunstreaker, as well as AOE Widow Maker.

I actually like this myltipack idea. This and Menasor were great. Hopefully that can be the same for devestator or a re release of an insecticon 3 pack.

I dont own any of those originals and im glad i held off. Already got mine preordered and damn do those solid windows ever look great. Total G1 animation vibe and far sharper than the clear plastic.
Was never able to find Streaker or Trailbreaker during their original release and jazz is such an improvement (the roof on mine broke) and with EM Hound was an easy sell for me. That wheel jack is rough though.
When I get the set, then I will have a complete Jazz mold collection. I know theres a reissue of the SS86 one, but I’m not getting that one. Until they come out with a Ricochet
I wanted this five pack because I don’t have any of these characters because I was waiting for animation accurate ones, but by the time I saved up for them they were all sold out and now going for 150-200 dollars.
Good luck I don't have any figure of the pack, so this pack is a must for me. Wonder if they'll do a mini bot pack with the Volkswagen Bumblebee.

@PrimeVsPrime pretty sure sideburn was planned way ahead of Omega Prime. There's no way they could've used any of that Haslab income or it's popularity for this figure. It is what it is
If we get a second Autobot multi-pack, I hope get an earth mode Sideswipe, Mirage, and Cliffjumper. A possible 3rd pack could be made up of Mini-bots.
It would also be nice to get a Decepticon multi-pack. I imagine it would be the classic Seeker trio(Starscream, Skywarp and Thundercracker), or a more cartoon color accurate Reflactor pack.

I disagree; I do prefer this white Wheeljack. Well, I’m all about toon accuracy. The one I really don’t care for is Trailbreaker. I would have preferred Prowl or Bluestreak. Can’t wait to see the Magmatron review. Great 5-pack review, mate.
