The very first time I heard the song I said to myself, "this is my theme song for the rest of my life." Now I sing it at every venue I play at when I'm performing solo on guitar. It is inspirational and this year in June of 2023 I had my 75th birthday.
How has this touched my heart...❤🙏 So many times in our lives we're doing something That we just don't realize the true magnitude of it... When he was writing this song for Clint Eastwood out of just heart felt did Toby Keith realize how it would end up... Actually bringing him back to the very top... After fighting the Battle for his life with God Almighty at his side. All things work for good for those who love the Lord. This is turned into an inspirational song... That has proven to be limitless in it's value in Motivation. Most definitely to all its states that are alive... Keep on living life to its fullest celebrating each day, Not letting age or circumstances determine attitude This is what we call a Divine appointment from the Holy Spirit ...reminding us share unconditionally love in all that we do.❤🙏
I haven’t been well for many of years and lately even food tastes bad to me (lost weight ) but it’s not the right way so many Tim’s I’ve wanted to give up even though the kids are grown and gone and all but 1 grandchild and 2 great grandkids I just keep telling my self just let it be over you will be sick no more then Toby comes out with this the difference is he has a support system I’m alone some days it gets hard to keep the old man out
As a cancer survivor myself over 30 years ago, I was spared having to have any treatment. Now the cancer has returned and I am most greatful to have had the chance to really learn the true meaning of love. That is to love with all your heart, and all your might and all your soul, AND forgive one another, and yourself. No one is perfect …. but love is! Thank you Toby and Clint, for showing me how to love with dignity and strength and I won’t let this old gal in! Still praying! 🙏🏻☝🏻😅🤠💓💋Gods speed.
I was have been living this for over 40 years..l was premature birth and have brushed death many times and realized that every day is precious... make it count for something at 72 l still work and help others as well...

Thankfully to our wonderful Savior, the Lord Jesus, there can be a new man forever where the old used to be because He wllingly received for us on that cross what He did not deserve.
I'm only 57, but I'm medically retired, require portable oxygen when walking, and due to kidney failure, on dialysis threee times a week. This song inspires me. On my three non dialysis, I'm out of the house working Doordash 24 hrs a week. My 4th non dialysis day, Sunday, is my Wife's. I've refused to "let the old man" in.
First I hurt for Tobi. Second I'm nearing 55 and I feel new pains daily. So today I'm up and heading out to get a new multi vitamin pack for men ,so off I go. Have a great day folks.

When you are 87 this song feels like it was written just for you. You have no heart or soul if you can listen to Toby's performance with dry eyes.
