I know its three years ago but I've just started painting mine and you explained very clearly how to mask the body best video out there. Thanks, Ralphie I do box art as well!!!!!!!!
Ha, I did the same thing to cut out the front inner fenders...its definitely the most difficult body part in this kit. Though you actually cut off the front winglet. Its actually got more front wing, which the manual kind of puts don't cut that part until after you cut it
I don't get, are there any cues on where to cut? Most of the time I don't see any in your video. Are you improvising where to cut? Are there any indication where to drill the holes? I am a noob, never built a kit like that. I am just thinking about buying one. How do you glue the parts together?
There are cut lines on the body. The instructions also do a great job of showing where to cut as well as where the dimples are to create the holes. To attach all the pieces, Tamiya has included tiny screws to bolt it all together!
It's just a little bit of soapy water. It helps let us slide the decal around. Press the decal down and the water should all exit from under it - use a paper towel to help soak it up.

After reading this, I went back to check but, unfortunately, I can't find my body manual!!!! LOL figures...
In the manual they say to used double sided tape for the body assembly, do you remember if this is this provided in the kit?
Also, thanks so much for the video series on this. I just got one as a gift and will definitely be using your videos as reference. My first kit build!
Yes, the double-sided tape is indeed included!
Great! This kit is a little different than most but still a really fun build. Enjoy!

Hello, I would want to ask what kind of liquid was applied before applying that sticker?
It's just a little bit of soapy water. It helps let us slide the decal around. Press the decal down and the water should all exit from under it - use a paper towel to help soak it up.
