I did not know that this came already. I think you are right. Building the car will be fast, but painting the body will take days plus adding the decals. Thoughts?
It's not released yet - soon. And yes, 2 hours for the chassis, 7 days for the body set. BUT, Tamiya's bodies are the best in the business so it's well worth it!
For a shelf queen, you can't get anything better looking. It really is a beautiful car. If you're going to drive it, be careful. It's a limited edition and parts may be an issue later down the line.
Doing a little research, it appears something like the McAllister NASCAR Stock Car might fit: mcallisterracing.com/nascar-stock-car-224/. They have a few other versions that might as well, but you'd have to verify that first.
A shame it didn't come with the original livery.....It looks a bit weird just saying "Racing". I realize Rothmans it's not as PC as it once was...but it's a historic recognizable livery.... and what they have released withn means many will need to search out 3rd party stickers at additional expense.
You can see all the spare parts here, including the H-Parts www.tamiyausa.com/parts/36861 It shows a price of $0, but maybe hit up Tamiya Customer Support and see if you can get one from them.
One of the best looking racing cars ever made, and Tamiiya have done a fantastic job of recreating it as usual!!
Agreed. It did take almost 4 hours to complete the body (including paint), but the finished product really is stellar!
Love , love this car. I'm hope the Newman Porsche follows soon.
Let's hope so. Alot of Porsche product coming from Tamiya at the moment...
Awesome! Can’t wait to see you run it. 👍🏻
Soon!

@@Competitionx I would have to agree. Thanks
I have this one on order and so glad I did, from what I have heard its been a sell out.
Can't wait to build it
Correct - a few industry people we talked to have said they've pre-sold almost every kit they ordered!!!
@Competitionx I was very lucky to have a friend pre-order me one even before I asked, we knew I would want one lol
@@adrianharrison5208 It is not sold out yet. I just placed an order and have confirmation that it is on the way. Thoughts?
What size round 2s lipo pack will fit in the battery tray?
A standard shotgun LiPo will fit, like this one: alnk.to/28SiBUm. This is what we're using in ours.
Mine is finally on the way. I have the Kyosho car and also the Tamiya Tamtec car. This fits in to my collection. Thoughts?

@@Competitionx I got mine today. Yes, it is a limited edition, but how limited? Tamiya seems to re-release cars about every 5 years or so. Thoughts?
Bag C is the tire tape, other is for taping on the headlights etc.
You are correct.
@@Competitionx I only know because I built the Mercedes C11 last year.
We have a C11 as well, but haven't built it. Guess if we had we'd know... ;)
So the remote control is seperate to purchase??
Correct...
I have preorder in my cart...
Excellent. Would get it in as we've heard there won't be another batch made.
I miss the old blister pack design
Agreed. A bit costly these days but would sure add value to any Anniversary-style release!
thats cool, i want!! Where can we run these at SoCal Raceway? Orange
Cal Raceway for sure but, yes, when SoCal RC Raceway opens up in Anaheim, I'm sure people will be running them there as well.
@@Competitionx Will I be able to run my 1:5 scale FG C291?
Would a nascar pan car body fit this chassis, and if so, what scale or brand?

We had a buddy cut out some 'OG'-style stickers on his Cricut - and it looks awesome! But yes, the original livery would have been much better.
May I ask if there are any friends who can help check the tamiya porsche 47508 manual? What is the part number for H-part (mirror)?thanks!

Does it not come w a canopy
Not sure what you mean by canopy. The body is a one piece (rear wing is, however, separate) with masks for the windows.
Das ist kein "Porschhhh" das ist ein Porscheeeee
I have one too order direct new wheels in black don't like the disc wheels and the decals are not precut
Well, the wheels are accurate for the car itself, however we did see one of these with black wheels and it was bad ass!!!! So, yeah, go with that!
The body to finish is ridiculous no thanks and so much crap plastic #notkyoshoquality
Some love it (like us), others not so much. To each their own I suppose :)
The Rlaarlo version is faster
Kind of hard to compare the two - one is a fully-independent, 4WD 'touring car', the other is a 2WD pan car. Only the bodies make them similar.
Do you need to go fast that much?
@@gempursuharto yep, no point of having a Porsche and not go fast 🤷🏻♂️
Well, you do have a point there lol
