This little Peugeot is my girlfriends car, we have never detailed the engine bay, and we are pretty sure the previous owners never cleaned it neither.

I actually did one the same 2 weeks ago.. terrible condition! I removed the wiper arms and rain tray.. it was packed with leaves, dirt and soil.. Nice job, great results as always!

Maybe a slight side-track but I recently cleaned my engine bay and couldn't get the microfiber cloths clean afterwards, any advice? Do you do the whole low-end tier, high-end tier and separate towels by use e.g only reuse these for e.g dirty engine bays and keep a clean stack for interiors or glass? Or is there a trick to not ruining them, un-ruin?
Yes exactly I use that method different tiers. It's practically impossible to get an engine bay-towel spotless after a good clean. Also you don't want to use a beat up old towel on the paint work, so it's a really good idea to keep them separated. 👍
