I tried a few years ago and i ran out of spoons after the mandatory reconsideration. I got the letter to attend a video assessment, in the smallprint of the letter that states that you cannot have the interview recorded, Apparantly, you can still have recorded f2f and phone appointments, but have to let them know a few days in advance. The assessor had a copy of my last application in front of her and was referring to it throughout, so they absolutely have access to previous applications for your info Charlie. Hi Charlie, just a side note -- you don't have to be a British citizen to claim PIP. As long as you have a right to claim other benefits that your migration status allows you to (for example you have settled status like myself), you're good to go
Charlie I feel I need to both comment and address some stuff on here so both your subscribers and mine can see since they flick between both channels. A lot of the comments both in my videos and your videos are pretty much people bashing both channels against one another and quite frankly it's becoming a bit childish now. I'm getting too old and I'm a bit too bored. And I've got my own personal stuff to deal with rather than anyone else's laundry.... I may not agree with what you do in terms of charging people for services. However, this is clearly a business you've set up and I respect your decision to have a business, like I've said, I don't necessarily agree with the cost involved. However, as others have quite rightly pointed out, you do offer free videos which TH-cam pays you for via advertisements.. and there are also free videos out there and free tools online which anyone can choose to use.. The next topic I want to discuss is the whole sickfluencer comments that's going around. This is a terminology given to channels like yours amongst others for people helping people claim benefits most notably pip. This was mentioned in multiple media outlets as of late and your channel also features in a Channel 4 documentary and also a channel for newsreel in which they state you and your channel are a sick fluencer. This doesn't mean I think you're a sickfluencer like people seem to believe, hell if that's the situation, I guess I'm on as well because I've offered free help and advice in the past... People you need to listen up. It's your choice who you watch and who you follow, but at the end of the day we are both content creators and we both deserve a little bit more respect. The whole backwards and forwards scenario about who said this and who said that quite frankly is becoming boring. People can have their opinions and you can rip into channels if you choose to. If that's what makes you really feel special. Just leave me and Charlie to get on with our own content and do our own thing and if you don't agree with something you don't have to watch it or comment. Respectfully well written. I completely agree with what you said. / We all need to remember that behind these channels are people with feelings and emotions. Things that are spouted off by someone whose sitting behind their screen typing out abuse is highly unnecessarily hurtful and quite frankly, childish. We all have our issues, be that mental health and or physical, so if someone’s out there trying to help people understand the forms or the complicated latest bill on the gov. website then there’s nothing wrong with that. However, I do feel somewhat uncomfortable with charging for that advice when it’s already out there for free, but each to their own. There’s no need for some people to be abusive about it and include other channels. At the end of the day, presumably we are all here for the same reason otherwise we wouldn’t know about both channels. Let’s find some common ground and just be thankful that people are trying to help others in a difficult situation where perhaps it shouldn’t be such a struggle to access what you’re legally entitled to in the first place…as long as you can prove that of course and get a good assessor who listens to you, but that’s another story.

Hi Charlie I have been on DLA which changed to pip I received the higher rate on both I have now retired and receive a reduced pension because I was not working to pay my stamp I am now really struggling as I don’t get a winter fuel payment and I rent a home that as oil as heating I need oxygen to breathe am I entitled to get a stamp to make my pension full pension?

I have developed claudication in my calf’s and vascular disease in my legs, I’m 62 and I can’t walk more than 50-100 yards without having to stop and sit down, I’m a seasonal worker March til October , do you think I could put in for pip, I also have underactive thyroid, I sleep a lot, I have vibration white finger, and had back trouble for years, any onewho can give me any advice id appreciate it.

Was re assessed last year was re awarded but said 2 year award hit 66 then, for re assessment, assessor said if I try a new medication I might feel better. Nope.. No new midi cation, My last award was 8 years, proved got worse. Do they try to take pip from new retired people. I get both. Thanks sue.
Generally, they're kinder after pension age. They often using light touch reviews, sometimes they don't reviewing at all. Be aware you can't raise your mobility component after pension age.
@@jeff-p8l my award notice says until Nov 2025. It also said I should receive a re assessment in Nov 2024 to make sure the right award meets my requirements.. Not had renewal forms yet I hit 66 April 2025. I think the trauma from pip assessment scarred me. My son spoke on my telephone assessment in 2023 which I was suprised they let him. And even more suprised he was. Aware of all my struggles. He knew everything. He spoke so well..
