The so called elite celebrities can jump on a plane within hours and relocate to other areas and states, be in a luxury hotel well away from the fires and be in a new home (even downsized) with weeks. Then the hotels can offer free accommodation to the commonfolk as they do with the illegals. Also the rich could even sponsor hotels to house those who lost their homes. Maybe cruise ships could be utilised as well?
Too bad the gov doesn't do anything to help. In China 3 days after their earthquake they have prefab homes in place for the people who lost their homes.
I live alone in a 3 bedroom house in Fresno. If there is someone in dire straights, Id like to offer temporary free refuge. A single mom with a child or two, an elderly person? Someone with a gentle pet? I have a little dog and 4 cats.
Don't do this. Don't invite crime or untrustworthy people into your residency. I know your heart is in the right place, but you still have to be careful. Donate clothes or $. Don't let strangers into your home.
@DaOldSchoolRapLova96 You know, thats probably good advice. I had a stroke a couple of years ago, too, but I am almost as I'd been. But yeeeaahh, I think my daughter wouldn't approve at all. The fire is truly devastating, and my heart aches for the pain and suffering of those affected. Yet, my spirit was lifted seeing people come together to help in such challenging times. It’s in moments like these that true character shines, and it’s incredibly inspiring to see so many choosing compassion and taking the high road.

When something happens in America it brings them to its knees and makes front page news. Guess what America? This was iraq for almost a decade after your illegal invasion. This is Gaza, Palestine every day after your weapons funding the genocide there. White lives are NOT more valuable than brown lives. The creator is not happy with you for a reasons America. Perhaps a sign to change your imperialist foreign policy.

Always perplexing that when a disaster such as this pops up, that suddenly there are all these resources available. Yet the rest of the time the thousands that are unhoused consistently in these communities barely survive.
Your home water lines is on the same water system as the fire hydrants. When your home water lines break during a house fire that affects the water line pressure. A 100 house fires, now you have 100 open line breaks in your water system. It’s not rocket science.
It is criminal that insurance companies can just cancel fire insurance when their risk increases but customers have paid them for years and years. This is CRIMINAL

@OMM2003GG Yes the insurance companies canceled because the local liberal woke government failed to provide the basic necessities like water for the fire hydrants. Another state destroyed by the democrats. The pollution these woke policies just caused is a disaster.
Sending prayers and love to everyone in California... everyone fighting these terrible fires, and everyone affected by these unbelievable tragedies!!!❤️😱🫂🫂♥️
I pray for rain, for the safety of the firefighters, for the fires to die off, for those displaced to receive the help they need. I pray for those who have lost loved ones, homes, possessions and their livelihoods through this disaster. ❤
I’m sure prisons are in danger, too. There’s little to do against a wall of fire driven on by strong winds. It’s amazing such a catastrophe has never happened before, considering how easily it could’ve in the land of scarce water.
because the federal and local goverment did not do the proper precautions to stop forest fires. They failed to clean brush, failed to properly maintain the dams and hydrants etc. etc.
I live in a fire prone are of CA. I'm way older than my wife, and I told her when she gets a home out of town, have a well, generator and sprinklers on the roof. It'll save it, mainly embers cause the fires to spread to homes. Saw one gentleman smart enough to have sprinklers on his roof during the Carr fires. Neighbors got burned out, he did not.
Story after story and the apocalyptic scenes are sooo verrry surreal and hard for us viewers to imagine the destruction, emotions and scope of this catastrophe affecting so many people!! It’s simply heartbreaking 💔❤️🔥
The firemen truly are everyday heroes. Their bravery, selflessness, and quick action in the face of danger inspire us all. Without them, many lives and homes would be at risk. We owe them so much!
los Angeles is so amazing. your spirit and ideals caring for others is beautiful and worth preserving. don't let them break you apart if you have to leave dony lose contact with others you're stronger together. congregate in New Mexico
I want to remind Dennis Quade that the firefighters battling these fires are coming from everywhere and not just Los Angeles County. San Francisco Fire Department is on the scene as are firefighters from Oregon and Washington. So, let me extend your gratitude to ALL Firefighters in every community who will always be there to provide support whenever and wherever it's needed.
If i got a ticket at a fire hydrant that didnt have water. Do i still have to pay the ticket? Because its really not a fire hydrant if it doesn't provide water to fight fires
As a born, lived my whole life, raised a family, and still living here. California isn't for the state of heart. You have to fight here. It isn't easy. But in the ends to the means, it is worth it it. Lean into family, loved ones preach compassion/empathy. California...we got this❤
Its an opportunity misused. The focus is only to grab money safely and with minimal risk. It's legalized gambling. Insurance companies must be monitored, profits pegged and 70 % money returned where there were no claims.
Left Orange County and California for good 4 months ago - so happy we left BUT my heart is hurting for my fellow Californians I c a n not believe this is happening. Where do you go from here…..
What is the story behind those insurance cancellations? Was there a notice beforehand? Did the insurance run out and wasn't renewed? Or how did that play out?
Think about it, the companies knew for months that California was woefully ill prepared to deal with the fires. They can't raise rates, and if they were to continue covering houses in Cali, they would've gone out of business because they don't have the money to pay for everything. Firefighters, brush cleaners, and other workers who deal in wildfires were begging Newsom and Bass for years to let them do their jobs. What did they do? Newsom wasted millions of gallons of water from north Cali while Bass cut millions from the fire fighters budget, and that's just the tip of the iceburg. Combine that with a massive homeless problem, and you've got the perfect storm of failure that would lead to this tragedy. So, the insurance companies left.
so what happened to all the money to the Insurance Company's .... I hope every last dime is/was reimbursed to the people who had bought it ... I find it very strange that FIRE coverage was lifted... it's one of the basics of Home Insurance???
… why was there no water in the fire hydrants in Pacific Palisades? Why didn’t PG&E inform the police chief? Why did the mayor cut the budget $17 million and why was she in Africa during a code red in her city?
@@maggiel4435 The premiums you pay in a year to the insurance company covers your home for that one year period. It doesn't cover it for the rest of your life. The money is used to cover that calendar year's worth of costs. Fire coverage was lifted/companies decided not to renew contracts because california govt makes it impossible for them to raise rates. If they know they are going to have a loss, then they stop doing business there. In fact, they told the california govt about climate change and the increasing risk of catastrophic fire damage to cities in california, and they were promptly ignored. No preventative measures were taken.
Thank you all for cooking, and giving out food to the firefighters (heroes) and everyone who is now homeless. And the word "homeless" now certainly has another meaning. Prayers for all of you. ❤❤❤
Thank you to everyone for coming together to feed, and provide resources for all those in need, this what humanity looks, this is what The Heart of God is🙏🏾❤
Here's a question: has a single billionaire (or multimillionaire) come in and donated many millions (as in 10 million +) to this effort? If so, who was it?
@@Angelbee-u3p “My community and possibly my home is on fire,” she wrote. Later on her home was still safe. Just google it. But She pleaded to give a donation of 1 million dollars for fire victims along with Taylor Swift, who donates 10 millions, while drug addict musk most rich ($400 billions) man on Earth gave not a penny, but BS criticism, which will neither help anybody, nor stop fire.
@@robinantonio8870 you’ve got to be kidding. Elon Musk has done so much for the world look at all the starlings he donated for the hurricane victims in North Carolina and it was crickets from Kamala then who was on my sugar, daddy podcast or something when all those people were suffering further it’s not the position of a billionaire or multimillionaire to donate anything. How much have you donated? What have you done? People need to quit voting Democrat we wouldn’t be in this position to begin with if they would’ve managed the forest properly they’re too concerned about trying to save a goo goo fish, or some stupid little insect now all the insects are gone, and the people’s livelihoods and Holmes are gone. Quit voting democrat people the policies don’t work look at California. It’s in ruins Gavin Newson has ruined it.

Almost impossible to believe that one of the world's wealthiest areas has been turned into like a scene from a Hollywood (no pun intended) apocalyptic film in just a couple of days!!! Thoughts and prayers for everyone: residents, firefighters, animals and especially the most vulnerable that are handicapped people and the elderly... 💧
Praying 🙏 the people are able to keep their properties and the government does not take it from them, praying taxes don't go up for Californians because of this, praying no one else passes away, praying rain does not flood or bring mud slides, praying the toxic smoke goes far up away and does not travel to other area's, praying people come together to help each other safely clean up wearing gloves and masks, praying 🙏 all fires are put out, praying people are given plenty of time to clean up, praying everyone has a place to stay 🙏 ❤ Amen
It’s heart-wrenching to see entire communities lose everything, but it’s even more appalling that insurance companies can get away with pulling fire coverage when people need it most. These businesses should be held accountable.
It’s heartbreaking to see the Democrats not managed the forest in our beautiful earth properly this wouldn’t be happening to begin with if they would clean up the forest like we’re supposed to. Quit voting Democrat people the policies just don’t work California is in ruins and you still keep voting this Gavin Newson unbelievable
As you acknowledged, insurance providers are businesses. They can't risk insuring more than they can pay out in claims. Do the math. Do you think the premiums paid to insure these homes are anywhere near what it will cost to replace these homes?
@@ThereYouAreT1It means she is virtuous. It’s okay! She lives in Australia now and everything is going to be okay for her former town of L.A. because she posted on TH-cam!

Homes are so expensive, Yet Our country has NO SYSTEM when someone loses their home.. This corruption will DESTROY our country. Honestly, how are people supposed to recover from Disaster events like these? We are seeing insurance companies fail us, we are seeing our government fail us. Most people are struggling to afford basic living. Then these disasters show up & they just destroy peoples homes. Our country is completely unable to handle this kind of stuff. Our country is failing these people. How does our country expect people to rebuild a second house when affording the first house was already a life long challenge.. How can our country keep functioning like this? Our country is completely out of touch with the reality of the impacts from these disasters. How will our society, our economy, our local & federal governments, How will all of these systems continue to function? How will our country be able to handle all of this stuff? We have to adapt. We have to.

The fire is truly devastating, and my heart aches for the pain and suffering of those affected. Yet, my spirit was lifted seeing people come together to help in such challenging times. It’s in moments like these that true character shines, and it’s incredibly inspiring to see so many choosing compassion and taking the high road.
The late Shah Pahlavi said that if Pahlavi goes, Iran goes, if Iran goes, the Middle East goes, and if the Middle East wins, the world will be in fear and shock. The Democratic Party and the globalists who tried to overthrow the Shah in 1979 are the ones who caused this fire and destruction of the world. Curse be upon Soros and the communist leftists who destroyed our people and the world. The supporters of the mullahs, mullahs, and the dirty guards are the same Democratic Party and the European left. They carried out the same experiments on the people in Iran, there was no water in the fire truck, etc. And now they are carrying out the same experiments on the people of America and the world, and they are burning Hawaii, Los Angeles, and the forests of the world with lasers. They are giving energy to the devil.
I feel sorry more for senior citizens, who have much fewer years left to rebuild their lives, if they even can. I hope they have grown children who can also help them.
At least those who failed them are diverse

6. Who came up with the 15-minute city?
The term “15-minute city” was initially coined in 2016 by Carlos Moreno, a professor at the Sorbonne in Paris. He proposed this concept as a way to rethink urban planning, aiming to ensure that essential services like doctors, shops, and workplaces are within a short walk for everyone.

9. What are the disadvantages of 15-minute city?
One potential drawback of the 15-minute city concept is the risk of overcrowding certain amenities if residents are conditioned to only use facilities within their particular 15-minute city. It may also require significant investment in infrastructure and could potentially lead to increased real estate prices.
10. Why do we need 15-minute cities?
The 15-minute city model aims to better serve groups of people who have historically been left out of urban planning, such as women, children, people with disabilities, and the elderly. By ensuring that essential services and amenities are within a short distance, it promotes walkability, accessibility, and inclusivity.
11. Is Houston a 15-minute city?

What is the story behind those insurance cancellations? Was there a notice beforehand? Did the insurance run out and wasn't renewed? Or how did that play out?
everyone effected should file suits, its insane
So heartwarming to see community's joined.
sounds like the insurance companies knew this was going to happen
They have also started not providing insurance in hurricane & tornado zones.
so what happened to all the money to the Insurance Company's ....
It's all facilitated & done by these neanderthals who run the governments
@@maggiel4435 The premiums you pay in a year to the insurance company covers your home for that one year period. It doesn't cover it for the rest of your life. The money is used to cover that calendar year's worth of costs.
Fire coverage was lifted/companies decided not to renew contracts because california govt makes it impossible for them to raise rates. If they know they are going to have a loss, then they stop doing business there. In fact, they told the california govt about climate change and the increasing risk of catastrophic fire damage to cities in california, and they were promptly ignored. No preventative measures were taken.

Sending prayers from Zimbabwe
The mountains are so beautiful. Seeing the terrain and high winds makes the fires are scary.
Sending Lots of Love from an expat in Australia I LOVE LA!
What does that even mean
@@ThereYouAreT1It means she is virtuous. It’s okay! She lives in Australia now and everything is going to be okay for her former town of L.A. because she posted on TH-cam!
The Level of this Disaster is immeasurable. These people losing their homes is soul crushing. I just gotta be honest, Our country is in complete DENIAL about how horrible things are.
We have to.
The billionaires wouldn't dream of dipping into their own pockets to help.
Sending hopeful thoughts and love to all in LA County. Love to you from San Diego
