funny thing about the DC33 they are all totally the same color scheme, only difference is cyclone top color. Fun Fact the DC33-14 and 07 share a lot of the bottom parts. You can make a very colorful DC33 just by swapping out the parts. for instance; take the clip from an animal dc14 U-Tube and the purple button diverter valve. next take the side filter housing Purple from dc07 animal. take the white floor head from a dc14 and an animal purple brushroll holder and sole plate (matching pair) take any color clutch knob and wheel glamour caps. Put these parts on your white cycloned DC33 and you would have Quite the colorful DC33. Only one of its kind. You really don't need to remove shroud, once you remove bottom cone and top of the cyclone, it can be cleaned with soapy water (I use compressed air first). I have seen when someone removes the shroud and it shows pry mark around the lugs of the shroud and bends the upper ring above lugs (don't like that look myself)
Yes, you can definitely make a Heinz 57 will all the spare parts, I love that idea 🤣. I wouldn’t have taken off the shroud to be honest as it does leave the marks, but if you’d seen the inside, oh my gosh 🤢. Now it’s as clean as a whistle 🤗

From the looks of it, it clearly looks like it's been used for DIY. Some people are so disrespectful with there electrical appliances. Considering the prices of these things why would you wanna abuse it? Just get a Henry for your DIY and the jobs a good'un.
