    I’m so glad you guys made this video…we are gonna do the same thing with our Horizon.

      That’s great! It has been one of the best upgrades we have done. Extended our ability to off grid by almost 4x! Let us know how it turns out.

    Good video showing how you installed your lithium batteries. We have a Sol Horizon and will be installing a 300AH battery, 3000watt inverter, solar charge controller and monitoring panels. Nice to see how you did your install to give us some ideas how we will do ours.

      Glad you liked it. It is probably one of the biggest game changers for us in our Horizon. I think I would like to install 1 or 2 more and also install an inverter so we can run the electric plugs offline as well, but that will be in the future. For now we can go for 3-4 days offline with the 200Ah of Lithium.

    you really should use a buss bar and have a dedicated disconnect and fused link right at the battery instead of making multiple direct connections to the positive and negative on the battery

      Thanks for the advice. I will look into that as an upgrade next season.

      Great advice! That is the way it should be done.

    Would you mind posting the inside dim. of the battery compartment? Trying to figure how many Li's would fit. Thank you for a good video.

    Is there a negative to hooking it up like you did? Meaning it is constantly charging when connected to shore power?

      Not that I have seen. Once the batteries charge completely they go into hibernation mode until a pull is required then they wake back up. Has worked so well for us so far. We are considering adding a few more to extend our experience.

    Hi! Did you ever attach the solar to your new battery system?

    • @wanderingfireflies
      @wanderingfireflies  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      We don’t have roof mount solar. Only a briefcase solar that comes in thru the port on the outside.

      Same! Is there anything you needed to do apart from what I saw in the video? I got this link off the inTech FB page. It’s great - thanks. Also - did you ever do a Buss Bar?

    How have the Rockpals panels held up?

      I honestly not had a chance to really use them. We ended up buying a generator we took on our trip.
